You're a treasure Bodhi, thanks for pushing the limits of this board and the sport. The Float Life team has always been an inspiration to me to get better, however behind the curve I always feel I am. Fun video, well put together.
Saw a rectangular box arrive yesterday... pretty stoked. Whant Ed one for a suuupee long time... 3 years to be egsact. Can NOT wait for Christmas to come round the corner!!!
I'll give you a dollar, maybe dollar fifty, if you make the definitive tutorial on sweet 180 butters like you did amongst your rock collection. So smooth.
@@michaelmcadams9991 Haha! Try hopping just a bit as you move your feet to de-weight the board. That'll release some friction and make it a bit easier!
I just started one wheeling rode by pint S maybe four times so far just in my driveway practicing figure 8 carves. Getting better. My snowboarding and skateboarding background gave me a head start. Oh and I ride goofy too! We rule lol.
Bodhi... can't thank you enough for these absolutely thorough and informative NEED to KNOW lessons. Anxiously awaiting delivery of my very first Onewheel XR and cannot wait to put these lessons to work. Thanks again. Cheers.
@@TheFloatLife ... Hey guys. Hope y'all are having a splendid day thus far. Raining buckets here in Austin. Wondering if you guys have any recommendations for board settings (i.e. Delirium, Mission, etc) for beginners?
6:20 I've only seen one other person dismount the way I do, well after I started doing it naturally to get over the train tracks at work. I slow down almost to a complete stop, jump and rotate my hips, legs, feet 90° degrees and land with the board comfortably between my legs, ready to pick up by my BANG bumper to proceed! (I stopped carrying it by the side rail handle. It feels more clumsy.) The "Cayotic Dismount" will just have to do until I learn to curb nudge the tracks. Even then, I still have to contend with loose railroad gravel on either side.
Lol! I separated my shoulder (class 3) last week. Great video though and I’m looking forward to putting this knowledge into practice. I’ll catch you on Instagram.
Picked up riding pretty quick but I got too comfortable and ballzy and kept pushing the nose down to go faster sooner and launched off around 12mph but tucked and rolled out of it but def hit shoulder elbow and hip Def not slamming the nose down like that again Good vid
@@TheFloatLife haha i know how it look. Quit smoking cigarettes with it but I use swedish snus. It is very common in europe Hope you win over your bad habit and have fun shreddin!
Great question! He actually "bonked" off of one of the rocks he had laid out. To learn more about bonking, try searching "How To Bonk" here on TH-cam. There's a great video available from the Florida Float Brothers that should outline the process pretty well.
@@sadiecase4014 doesn't bonking require you to slam your nose down like a quick snap while your tire is up against an object? Like a curb or speed bump? From what I see in the video is that he begins to slow down and he just jumps. No slamming of the nose and no object under his tire. The board stays with his feet the whole time.
Someone should instruct Bodhi on how to properly wear his TFL face mask, unless he's just trying to keep his chest hairs warm...otherwise very informative
And stop worrying about scratching up your onewheel if you wanna be a good rider. Are you a poser or a rider? Fyi: Slide your front foot off front of deck for the most surefire, graceful stoping style.
Basically his toe-heel move.. But BEWARE⚠️ When you use this method be ready for the wheel to freely roll FOR SOME REASON when motor disengages. So this is not the best method for dismounting on hills. This method is probably only for better riders..

Shifting of feet while on board - great tips. I usually have to stop and start over. Will try this. Thanks!

Alpine Stance, putting more on my calves, has helped my knees a lot.
The ball of my back foot hurts after awhile 😞
The first thing I tell people is how to bail with both feet. So many people get hurt because they try to hang on too long and they lose control.
100%
For real. These things are really intuitive. You do need some common sense tho 😁
Great helpful video

What would you recommend for a pint?? P. S thanks for replying 👍
My main question is how do you pop up big curbs and how in the air can you land flat off a drop

Because you have to pedal and you can't shred a bike anywhere
