    I tried your back drop mountain for my x-mas village of this year and it really came out nice. Thanks for the inspiration although I'm not a resurection scene, it will look good. Looking forward to your next video. I'm updating all the time and looking back at older video's and live streams for more inspiration. I'll send you what I've done really soon, maybe next week (if I have time for it, because I'm working on my waterfall with real water what I was admiring in one of the live streams) Love to hear from you. 😽

      Hello Judith, thank you so much! I’m so glad you are taking a look back at some videos for inspiration. I look forward to seeing your progress, especially the real waterfall.

    Hi Miriam. Wow! The end result of this rock project looks amazing and so realistic. You did an outstanding job. I'm happy that you shared your tips with us. I'm gonna have to practice. I'm not scared of carving the rocks, but I'm terrified to color it. Brown paints are not my friends let me tell you. I don't know why, but I always get intimidated with brown. You highlighted yours just right. I can't wait to see your completed project. By the way, I finally took my village down a few days before Valentine's Day. I cried a little after though. But, I still order village pieces so that I won't have to spend so much at one time when I start getting ready for my 2022 Christmas village. Well I hope you and your beautiful family have been doing great since we last talked. Please tell your mom that I said hello. Thank you so much for sharing again sis 😘 👍 💕 💕

      Hey sis, thank you so much, I truly appreciate that. Brown is harder to do if you are trying to mix your own color but if you buy it in different shades, it’s no different than the gray. I do notice that I apply one to two more layers of paint with brown than gray. As soon as I finish my resurrection scene, I am going to start taking down my Christmas village. I will be sad to see it go but I know my creative juices work more when I have a clean slate. Hope you have a wonderful weekend, God bless you.

    Thanks Miriam. As always inspiring! Love the colors of the paints you used; no mixing required for such great result.

      Thanks Ryan! Yes, it does make it easier when you don’t have to mix paints.

    Miriam, I had a strange feeling today you were going to post a video today! Must agree with Lloyd you have done an amazing job! Your presentations and explanations of what you're doing is so PROFESSIONAL and easy to understand! Guess we will have to change your name to The "QUEEN" of Display Villages for all Holiday Seasons! Wishing you and your family all the best in 2022! Looking forward to Part 2!!!

    Have you ever thought about static grass. I don’t know how much that sand mat costs but you could also use sandpaper.

    • @MiriamsManner
      @MiriamsManner  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have thought about static grass but I haven’t invested in the machine yet. I did see a TH-cam video of a guy showing how to make your own static grass machine a few years ago.
      Sandpaper is a great idea. I even had large sheets of sandpaper I could have used. Thanks for the tip.

    Hi Miriam, you've done an amazing job!. Loving all the texture you've achieved and that color. . . . oh yes! Can't wait to see more. I had to chuckle slightly as I saw your Christmas village still in the background. I thought I remember you saying you were going to wait until you had this set up complete before starting the task of dismantling. I finally started taking mine down last Saturday. I put a major dent into it and then kinda slacked off the rest of the week. Tomorrow, Saturday, I should be able to finish. While it's sad to see in going away, it's nice to get the living space back and to plan for new creativity. I'm on staycation in one week and am so looking forward to some much needed peace and quiet. My craft room needs so much love, so I might work on it some and maybe do a day trip, but it's mostly about the resting, recharing and refocusing. I hope all is well with you and your family. How's Mom? Looking forward to the next video. Wishing all the best to you and yours.

      Thank you so much! Yes, I am hoping to start breaking down my Christmas village by the end of March. That is awesome you have already begun breaking down yours. It’s always nice once it’s down to get a vision for the next village. Mom is doing great, thanks. Tell your mom I said hello.

      I buy insulation foam boards from Lowes and I peel off both sides of the protective barrier. I attached a link for you below.
