You blew me away with your Jagerndorfer Ski Lift Design! Your design to tell a story with that piece is amazing! I especially like those recessed lights from Walmart you added into the Ski platform. Are they Battery powered or AC.? My jaw hit the floor again on this section of your village.

Unfortunately they are battery operated but my last order from ehobby with the flood lights won’t be in until the 15th and I just couldn’t wait any longer. This was a nice solution. I put the battery pack where it is easy to get to to turn on and off.

What is hilarious is that my family has been calling me that for years before I started my TH-cam channel because I love Christmas so much.
The plywood piece itself is 20” wide x 40” long. However, the distance between the two ski lift pieces is from back end to back end is 77”

I use the E6000 for the cattails. You can find that glue at Walmart and hobby lobby. You can also use hot glue for an instant bond.
The park is 30”x30”. I just sent you an email earlier today with progress pics.

This is awesome. I'm retiring at the end of the year and have been busy with the close of my business. I intend to use some of my free time to create and add more detail to my Christmas Village's for 2022. My wife got involved this year for the first time and had great ideas which I incorporated for 2021. Your work is so creative and your presentations and instructions are extremely easy to follow. How do u cut the corners to fit around shelf poles?
If you are using styrofoam you could use a hot knife. If you are using wood, you would need a saw.

I ask because I've been collecting Christmas in the City from Dept 56 since the late 90s
You are so sweet, thank you. Yes, every year I design a new village on my own. I have never recreated the same village twice. I am just beginning the construction of my village for this year.
About 85% of all the village buildings I own are from Lemax. About 95% of my figurines are from Lemax.

I know you're so happy that the final piece to the village puzzle is complete! A major accomplishment for sure. Now that it's done, and once you do your video of it, make sure you take some time to actually enjoy the fruits of your labor. Sometimes we get so caught up in completing a task that we don't even take time to savor it before we're off onto another task. You've promised us all that you're going to take some time for yourself and your family. You better follow through on it. We are watching you. Hahahaha!!!!
This seems to be your biggest set up yet. I know you're already planning next year's village. Bigger still??? More levels? More sections? You know I have to keep reminding you to pace yourself. Seriously though, you and Dewan have gone above and beyond doing all you've done in getting yout village set up, the videos of the set up and the organization and vidoes for the contest. You both need to take some time off. As always, wishing all the best to you and yours.
Thank you so much! Yes, it feels like a huge accomplishment to finally get it done. I absolutely am going to take time off, probably the last two weeks of the year. I am completing videos to schedule during that time and will take two weeks before Christmas and focus on my family. We have already started our 12 days to Christmas countdown last night with Christmas bingo and Christmas freeze dance. 😂🤣.

Thank you so much Melody, that is so sweet of you. I make all of the smaller tables from leftover wood I had in my garage. My hubby and I do a lot of projects and I always keep the scrap. 😃🤣😂

Your villages are absolutely amazing! I have been inspired to try to create my own. What type of glue do you use to connect your styrofoam? I’ve researched several products but am confused which would be best.
I use regular Elmer’s white glue and I also use foam fusion from hot wire foam factory.

There are some really affordable options. The dollar store sells Christmas village pieces. Also, a lot of people sell really nice piece at yard sales and goodwill. Hope that helps. 😁
