I will never forget the day when Szymon Godziek came into my workshop, telling me the head tube of his Slopestyle frame got bent. Apparently Nicholi Rogatkin told him to travel with his bike in a Hockey Bag, because it's the cheapest way to fly with your bike. Now the same guy who made me put a hammer to his frame is building one of the most ridiculous lines mankind has ever seen. I love it!

I would watch a docuseries of just the riders and builders choosing their lines and digging out the lines to make it ridable. I'd watch like 10 hours of that, EASY.
the reason they don't is because they leave that part upto the rider and their team, to gain any publicity if they want it, some of the riders do it, I always used to watch zink's and brendogs dig vids, the hype is just as fun as the comp
The shot at 1:10 finally does a feature justice. That thing is just massive. Takes a special kind of person to look at that cliff and say "Yeah, that's rideable."

If eveyone walks away with out a major injury this will be a success and push the sport sooo much. I hope the judging awards the hard lines and not just freestyle tricks off perfectly built jumps
I've been waiting for someone to make a huge spine out of one of those ridge lines or a huge quarter pipe drop..... These are insane and I'm all about it. 😮❤❤❤
Holy sht! Simon....what r you thinking about?! this is insane! can't imagine how GNARLY it looks in real life...and what pressure riders will get for a first attempts and final runs. This rampage is one of the most dangerous ever imho.
Why don't redbull have a team of like, alpine builders who scutters around and put nets maybe 10m down from the certain death zones, just to make sure there's some safety. I don't think anyone watching would/should complain about that. I might be wrong, but that would be kinda nice.
The run in to Brendans canyon gap is impossible. I just hope everyone goes home safe. Every year it looks more and more likely that someone won't be going home.
Yea I was thinking the same thing.. 18m is really far I don’t think the speed will be right and timing it with that pre jump lip will be sketch 🤔 but may look different in person
On video the take off angle of the kicker looks way too flat, like he'll be piling into the back of the landing... can't wait to see him prove me worng though!

Having grown up riding there, I don’t think people can begin to understand, over video or even hearing the measurements, just how insane these features are.
I didn't realise they only got two diggers each, always thought there were much bigger crews up there. Crazy amount of work, looking forward to seeing that Godziek gap jump...
Rampage is a death crash waiting to happen, it’s a little too crazy for me. Already have a paralysed rider from a previous year, just hope everyone gets down ok.
Jesus, you gotta have balls of steel & courage of a lion to even think of riding those lines ! Insane absolutely insane……… safe landings to all you guys !
I have a bad feeling about Rampage this year, a hunch that one of our riders wont be going home after. I really hope im wrong. All the best of luck to all of the guys!
How do the lines this year feel to you compared to previous years @mattjones ? Also, I’ve done a little sum and I recon BrenDog with have a vertical vector of just over 70 kph at the bottom of that first shute and he’ll carry virtually all that - 70 say - forward. That sounds a ludicrous speed, but seems enough to get over the next 18m gap using that lips angle and the compression generated. But, honestly, I agree, FFS 🎉

The level of respect for these riders and builders, they seriously take “Red Bull gives you wings” to the next level 🔥💯
Red Bull, you really need to give this bot some new things to say or shut it down. It's embarrassing for you.

It’s easy to forget that Red Bull is a drink when they put on crazy awesome events like this, dominating the extreme sports 🔥💯

Is Brendog building that with Godziek? Not sure he’s “letting others ride it”.
Ollie and Brendon actually spotted that huge gap at the top first, feel like they are not getting the credit.
Exactly, Brendan said he researched the line before they even got there
