I am from Sunrise Fl and now live in Texas and i grew up hating FSU for context. Fsu should cancel future non conference games and boycot the bowl game at the last minute. Im a diehard Blue supporter and they went undefeated and #1 and all espn talks about is Bama. A media company who has a financial involvement with a conference and has the mouth piece power to get decisions made based on their preference should be investigated. Just my thoughts

As a BIG Texas fan, I gotta agree this year was unfair for FSU. I'm sure there are good reasons why we can't, but due to the 5-6 teams that all legitimately deserve a place, I wish we could add a game or two to give fans peace. If Texas had been left out, I know I would want that. FSU Defense is next level and their offense has played with amazing heart in their circumstances.

Boycott the game, inform the NCAA, and the bowl that Florida State was wrongly shut out, and the team is going to stay out. I've been a Seminole fan my whole life, and we were disrespected in the name of money and another conference. I personally lost all respect for the playoff and the committee today, and I will never watch another playoff game of college football even if my Seminoles are playing. To put two once defeated teams ahead of a 13-0 conference winner is unsportsmanlike and one the worst things that I have seen in all of sports in my lifetime.

If I were CMN, I'd strongly consider doing the following: 1) Take the extra practice time and bowl money as both are very useful. 2) Play all 3rd-4th stringers and walk-ons as a reward for the year of practice and being part of the team. Run a bunch of prevent, maybe throw some triple-option and every trick-play in the book in there, just have fun and a "who cares" attitude. I don't think this has ever been done and it would make a statement in many different ways......and those young men would remember it the rest of their lives. 3) Troll like a pro. Take every chance, while acting with class and an attitude that we won't be conquered, to point out how ridiculous and flawed the whole system has become. Refuse to do any interviews with certain media outlets. Talk about looking to go independent or at least leave the ACC (even it it isn't going to happen). Have a huge "National Champions 2023" hung at Doak. 4) Rise above it. Don't complain, don't whine, just recruit like heck as we are the state champs and work hard to be the best we can be. I'm proud of this team and have had fun watching them win again. Congratulations on a great year. Undefeated again, and unconquered. We did everything we could do and beat every challenger, and to do it through such adversity not only proves we are winners, but teaches a lot of young men valuable life lessons as well. Go 'Noles!

This mockery of the NCAA decision is how it will affect the conference. What 5 star prospect will ever go to an ACC school now? Wish FSU had never gone to ACC for the basketball opportunity. For the 1st time in 40 years, I will not be watching a bowl game.

December 3, 2023 is the day College Football died for me and I'm sure many others. It's been overtaken by politics and media figure heads pushing agendas. Has always been (by far) my favorite sport since I started watching and playing sports as a little kid. I know this seems like an impulsive reaction in the moment, and yes I know I'll still watch the team next season. But it'll NEVER be the same to me, it just won't, I'll never be nearly as interested or intrigued as I used to be. I'll never be quite as passionate and hyped for the games and seasons like I used to be. I'm DONE investing countless hours of my time following and studying the sport, watching all the games, etc. The CFB experience for me as a fan has been altered forever and nothing can change that. This is the biggest sports robbery I've ever witnessed in my life. What's the damn point of even playing all the games, WINNING EVERY game, WINNING your (Power 5) Conference, and still not even having a CHANCE to COMPETE for a National Championship? I wear FSU colors every single day and am a proud fan. It was said we would have to win out back before Travis was injured. We did that and still with a backup and then a true freshman, we get this disrespect. The committee got it wrong!

In 1969, number-one ranked Texas beat number-two ranked Arkansas. The Horns then defeated Notre Dame in the Cotton Bowl. That is why they won the national title. Penn State chose to play in the Orange Bowl and they beat a much-lesser Missouri team. I can’t address your 1994 Penn State grievance. I feel that one of the darkest days in NCAA college football was the Jerry Sandusky scandal at Penn State, but that is my opinion. Penn State should have gotten the death penalty from the NCAA. SMU got the penalty for pay for play back in the day. FYI - Michigan beat Penn State this season, 24-15, this season. I don’t know how much of that was on Michigan super scout Connor Stalions, but the Wolverines beat the Nittany Lions nonetheless. But there is no way that a Jordan Travis-less FSU team beats Michigan in the CFP.

The committee did not screw anyone. It was Jordan Travis’ season-ending injury that screwed FSU. If not for that injury, I have no doubt that the Seminoles would have made it into the CFP. The committee saved Florida State from being embarrassed in the CFP. It is next to impossible to win against stiff competition without your QB1.

They need to meet with every team in the ACC and see if they are willing to go the distance against the CFP (and ESPN) and file an injunction against both parties. If not, then go alone and fight the CFP in court and try to stop the playoffs until a decision makes sense. If a NFL team won their decision but lost the quarterback and the commissioner decided that for the sake of the playoffs that team lost its quarterback and wasn’t the same team so they shouldn’t get to play in the playoffs. Before the committee picked “their teams”, Nick Saban, who assumed they weren’t getting in said, “Well, I guess we should just not schedule tuff non conference games anymore”. FSU scheduled 2 SEC non conference games, and won every game they played. Nuff said! I really hope FSU’s players will make a public announcement that they will not play in this rigged and meaningless CONSOLATION game. WHY should they? Regardless if you like the Noles or not ALL ACC players, coaches, and fans should boycott watching the playoffs, because the committee just gave all of you the middle finger.
The Orange Bowl is one of the best bowl games out there. The folks there always put on a great football celebration. Should Florida State choose not to play it, it would only look bad for the school. Better to play and to try to prove that you can beat a SEC team without the services of Jordan Travis.

I am a Bama fan so biased up front. Liberty is also undefeated, should they have been selected. If Clemson had the same record as FSU they would also be sitting home. It is NOT FSU it is the ACC. I am not saying it is NOT politics, obviously it is. The ACC is NOT equal to Big 10 or SEC. Strength of schedule Alabama = 5 FSU = 55. Clemson, LSU and Florida were all bad this year and this did not help FSU. But the ACC is a Power 5 confrence on paper only.

I feel the pain. I’m a Husky fan, and I thought Washington was being hated on against Oregon as a 9.5 underdog. But this is crazy!! Division 1 College football has had the worst postseason out of all sports! I still have a bitter taste in my mouth from the 91 season having to split a National Championship with Miami, when they should’ve played each other. I can see Florida St beating Georgia too. Yeah Florida St had a Freshman play in the conference championship and won! The Seminole’s regular backup would be available for the playoffs, and y’all still got robbed. That really sucks!!!

I am from Sunrise Fl and now live in Texas and i grew up hating FSU for context. Fsu should cancel future non conference games and boycot the bowl game at the last minute. Im a diehard Blue supporter and they went undefeated and #1 and all espn talks about is Bama. A media company who has a financial involvement with a conference and has the mouth piece power to get decisions made based on their preference should be investigated. Just my thoughts

As a BIG Texas fan, I gotta agree this year was unfair for FSU. I'm sure there are good reasons why we can't, but due to the 5-6 teams that all legitimately deserve a place, I wish we could add a game or two to give fans peace. If Texas had been left out, I know I would want that. FSU Defense is next level and their offense has played with amazing heart in their circumstances.

If I were CMN, I'd strongly consider doing the following:
1) Take the extra practice time and bowl money as both are very useful.
2) Play all 3rd-4th stringers and walk-ons as a reward for the year of practice and being part of the team. Run a bunch of prevent, maybe throw some triple-option and every trick-play in the book in there, just have fun and a "who cares" attitude. I don't think this has ever been done and it would make a statement in many different ways......and those young men would remember it the rest of their lives.
3) Troll like a pro. Take every chance, while acting with class and an attitude that we won't be conquered, to point out how ridiculous and flawed the whole system has become. Refuse to do any interviews with certain media outlets. Talk about looking to go independent or at least leave the ACC (even it it isn't going to happen). Have a huge "National Champions 2023" hung at Doak.
4) Rise above it. Don't complain, don't whine, just recruit like heck as we are the state champs and work hard to be the best we can be.
I'm proud of this team and have had fun watching them win again. Congratulations on a great year. Undefeated again, and unconquered. We did everything we could do and beat every challenger, and to do it through such adversity not only proves we are winners, but teaches a lot of young men valuable life lessons as well. Go 'Noles!

December 3, 2023 is the day College Football died for me and I'm sure many others. It's been overtaken by politics and media figure heads pushing agendas. Has always been (by far) my favorite sport since I started watching and playing sports as a little kid. I know this seems like an impulsive reaction in the moment, and yes I know I'll still watch the team next season. But it'll NEVER be the same to me, it just won't, I'll never be nearly as interested or intrigued as I used to be. I'll never be quite as passionate and hyped for the games and seasons like I used to be. I'm DONE investing countless hours of my time following and studying the sport, watching all the games, etc. The CFB experience for me as a fan has been altered forever and nothing can change that.

Die hard FSU fan since 78 hate this happened, in my opinion this team did what last years team could not do, win the close games and won all of them. I think we are a good team and beat everyone in front of us, I think if you look at 2013 the ACC was about the same but that team crushed everyone and looked like the late 80's and 90's teams that were crazy good, if we would have been dominate like that I think we are in no matter if the kicker plays QB but again just my opinion, want respect we have a great chance to get it, hope all players play for Georgia and FSU, play a great game win it and point proved, we get blowed out then not much to say. So what? All this means is that no matter what FSU does, no matter how well they do, doesn't matter if you have a perfect season, they were never going to be considered for the playoffs.

For ten years I've been saying that this multi-million dollar enterprise should NOT be decided by Opinion Poll. Form an appropriate number of conferences, then the conference champions advance to a CFP. Done. Full disclosure, I'm not a Seminoles fan.
Next season it's a 12 team playoff and every power 5 conference champion gets an automatic bid along with the highest ranked smaller conference champion.

Totally agree. All night through the ACC Championship broadcast Joe Tesitore was vaulting for Texas and Alabama. Literally alllll night through the game. And that's exactly how it ended up. Herbstriet! Lost all respect for him. This is terrible. Alabama and Texas paid they're way into the playoffs. No other way around it.

Disney feels they own college football and are using ESPN as there strong arm. We as the public allowed ESPN to get this powerful. Boycott Disney and ESPN, and make them feel the financial pinch. I have canceled all ESPN packages along with Disney Plus.

I'm a lifelong Penn State fan. We got insanely screwed in 1969 and especially in 1994. But I think this is unquestionably the darkest and sorriest screw job of all. I think you would have beaten Michigan too.
In 1969, number-one ranked Texas beat number-two ranked Arkansas. The Horns then defeated Notre Dame in the Cotton Bowl. That is why they won the national title. Penn State chose to play in the Orange Bowl and they beat a much-lesser Missouri team.

I feel that one of the darkest days in NCAA college football was the Jerry Sandusky scandal at Penn State, but that is my opinion.
Penn State should have gotten the death penalty from the NCAA.

FYI - Michigan beat Penn State this season, 24-15, this season. I don’t know how much of that was on Michigan super scout Connor Stalions, but the Wolverines beat the Nittany Lions nonetheless. But there is no way that a Jordan Travis-less FSU team beats Michigan in the CFP.

First, Penn State chose to play in the Orange Bowl for 2 reasons: 1) Dallas, in the 1960s, was a racist mob town where Presidents got killed, most local authorities were corrupt, and blacks got treated like crap, so the black PSU players, who enjoyed Miami the year before, didn't want to go. 2) When it was time to choose a bowl, #1 Ohio State had not yet lost to Michigan, in a stunning upset, so Penn State figured there was no point in going to undesirable Dallas because no one in America, except maybe Bo Schembechler, thought Ohio State would lose.@@sarahmccoy1941

The committee did not screw anyone.
It was Jordan Travis’ season-ending injury that screwed FSU.
If not for that injury, I have no doubt that the Seminoles would have made it into the CFP.
The committee saved Florida State from being embarrassed in the CFP.
It is next to impossible to win against stiff competition without your QB1.

Take georgia and keep them under 100 total yards. Offense. Let Keon and Johnny ball. Guys if you want to leave for the NFL and sit out I understand but this is a replacements moment. This is a moment that if you dominate georgia in that game your draft stock would skyrocket. This game can be the moment that puts the college world on notice. Tate, your a gunslinger. If this season mattered to you if this team is your family show out and make sure that everybody that is old enough to understand can look to you and say they would have won it all and put an asterisks by this year's champion. Plant The Spear. Plant Florida state at the top. Take the dogs and leash them and make them your pet. They didn't win the sec but were close. Don't win close. Win big. They need to meet with every team in the ACC and see if they are willing to go the distance against the CFP (and ESPN) and file an injunction against both parties. If not, then go alone and fight the CFP in court and try to stop the playoffs until a decision makes sense. If a NFL team won their decision but lost the quarterback and the commissioner decided that for the sake of the playoffs that team lost its quarterback and wasn’t the same team so they shouldn’t get to play in the playoffs. Ridiculous

Before the committee picked “their teams”, Nick Saban, who assumed they weren’t getting in said, “Well, I guess we should just not schedule tuff non conference games anymore”. FSU scheduled 2 SEC non conference games, and won every game they played. Nuff said! I really hope FSU’s players will make a public announcement that they will not play in this rigged and meaningless CONSOLATION game. WHY should they? Regardless if you like the Noles or not ALL ACC players, coaches, and fans should boycott watching the playoffs, because the committee just gave all of you the middle finger.
The Orange Bowl is one of the best bowl games out there. The folks there always put on a great football celebration.
Should Florida State choose not to play it, it would only look bad for the school. Better to play and to try to prove that you can beat a SEC team without the services of Jordan Travis.

Not a fan of your fan base in general, but this was an all-time screw job. #4 team drops one spot for beating #14, or whatever Louisville was, with a 3rd stringer. #7 team moves up four spots for besting the #18 team, lol. The fix was in from the beginning. Just too many people behind the scenes vouching for an SEC that was extremely overrated this season. Sucks it'll just be the death knell for our conference. I would absolutely take a knee every play against Georgia; I would gain a newfound respect for FSU.

I am a Bama fan so biased up front. Liberty is also undefeated, should they have been selected. If Clemson had the same record as FSU they would also be sitting home. It is NOT FSU it is the ACC. I am not saying it is NOT politics, obviously it is. The ACC is NOT equal to Big 10 or SEC. Strength of schedule Alabama = 5 FSU = 55. Clemson, LSU and Florida were all bad this year and this did not help FSU. But the ACC is a Power 5 confrence on paper only.
