Yes. I agree. Royal Enfield should have 'Itchy Boots' or 'Noraly Schoenmaker' edition and I can tell you, it will make a history in sales history of Royal Enfield. :)

I think Noraly will eventually get TH-cam's "Diamond Play Button" for 10,000,000 subscribers, especially if she spends 1 1/2 years traveling from Patagonia to Alaska and produces another 200 episodes. This amazing lady has one of the best channels on TH-cam.
Having binge watched Season 6 and then Season 5, I went back and started Season 2. I got a kick out of how excited Noraly was at the end of this episode when she showed the plaque she received from TH-cam for having 100,000 followers. Little did she know that a mere 3 years later she would have 15 times that number of followers. Good work Noraly!
That's a nice and happy ending for a very inconvient story about bureaucracy and administration issues. Respect for the RE dealer, that was absolutely the right decision!
All considered, this is the best possible outcome... Well done Royal Enfield...and the Dutch dealer. They have sold a considerable number of bikes as a result of this series of Noraly's adventures...😃😃
@@ItchyBoots Thanks Noraly... I can't believe my little, positive comments received sooo many thumbs up! Question.. How are you getting along with the new bike? Have you put enough miles on it to get the first service under your belt?

Cyclist here but even I am looking into a Himalayan now thanks to Itchy boots. Bonus, I live 5 minutes from that place she got her new motorcycle from.
I will just point out, as the RZ guys did in their interview, that after all your adventures, Basanti is now essentially in a museum, which is pretty cool.
Royal Enfield should make you a priority client and gift you bikes. I'm planning of buying a Himalayan because of your videos and im sure a lot of people feel the same way😊

After watching several videos I decided to go back and my wife and I are now binging season 1 (somewhere in Turkey). This is seriously some of the best content I've found, not just on TH-cam but anywhere. After watching the latest Long Way series I've got the ADV bug again. Been shopping for a new bike leaning towards a GS 850 Adventure. But after seeing how well the Himalayan has performed I'm seriously considering the Royal Enfield. Nah they gave it to Levi Sherwood for the X-Games (Just joking, they're really gonna enter Basanti in Red Bull Romaniacs. I'm telling you those KTM riders will be crying into their milk.)
Bagheera is a black panther. And is an important character in Jungle Book stories, as one of Mowgli's mentors. In fact, Bagheera spoke at Council Rock for Mowgli to remain with the Seeonee wolf pack.
I just loved Basanti. She and your videos smashed any concerns which I had about the quality of Himalayan. I will miss her and I believe it was hard decision for you. But to import any vehicle not intended for the EU market to Europe is just Mission impossible. Thank God that the Dutch dealer made such a generous offer. Queen is dead. Long live the Queen. At least we will see how compare the Indian and European versions. I wish you good luck with your new bike.
Hey Noraly, you will soon bond with your new bike ....and Basanti deserves a rest! Congrats on your You Tube award....looking forward to the adventure ahead! Cheers, Steve
You're correct, and now she gets to run a new bike, same model and see if it holds up just as well, should be a real testament to the brand, and this one she can keep.
From a marketing perspective yesterday saying "Basanti is my love" and today "Basanti sorry.. it's not my fault" is not the best strategy for future adventure and public Youtubing. But who knows, we'll see
I first found you in the lock down in Peru. Since then I went to your first video and followed you all through season one. I marathoned the ride. I have always admired the Enfield. Such a classic bike. My first big bike was a 1964 Matchless 650. I bought it in Germany while I was in the US Army there in 1970. I had my 10 seconds of fame riding that bike in the snowy streets of Langendiebach, Germany for an interview for the "Nightly News". I've had so many bikes over the years, but I will never forget my Matchless. I was so moved when you turned Basanti over to the dealer. It made me cry! That bike is historic. We will all miss her.
Hi Noraly, Congratulations with this deal! I think it is a very smart/strategic move by Royal Enfield for a big chance that your new 'Horse' will also endure >35000 km like Basanti.
You deserve such good fortune, Noraly. Farewell to Basanti, but onward to new adventures. Because I have been closely following your adventures, my wife has 'permitted' me to buy a Himalayan...but first I must lose 17 kilos! Your videos have inspired me, so I know I can do it! Now, DHANNO...Let's go!!
It's great that a Royal Enfield distributor is giving you a bike for free but to be honest, I think Royal Enfield would have sponsored you directly if you had approached them. They have sold many Himalayans based purely on your videos. I bought one after watching your videos and I know three other people who did the same. Anyway, can't wait for your new journey!
Basanti is an outlaw in the Netherlands. lol ....Oh No ! .....As fate has it, Basanti is the Super Star at many Royal Enfield vendors and manufacturing shows. I bet there were many inquiries around the world, because of your travels and your videos, about the Himalayan model. Years ago I bought a used Honda 450. I took it everywhere, on many road trips and off-road trips. You sparked memories. Happy travels to you.
Congratulations on the Silver Play button !!! You're journey has been amazing and really motivating. We'll all miss "BaSaNTi". Thank you for your videos ! Congrats on "DhANNO" !!

I picked up your stream at the episode where you were helped by police to get through a questionable territory. Then I picked it up when you went to Canada and Haida Gwaii.
Earlier The "Basanti" was the name of the Horse Cart Female Rider.. And Now "Dhanno" is the name of the Horse.. These name are from a Legend Bollywood Hindi Movie "SHOLAY"...
Well, I was going to back up to season 2 for the season 6 at the USA border but listening to your initial season 2 video I've changed my mind and I'm going to go back and start from the very beginning season 1.
Somewhere in there I'll bet she got 100,000 new subscribers in a one month period. Edit- July 2022 she got 100,000 new subscribers. It's a sure bet the second million will take less time than the first million did. The one million plaque is gold. Ten million is diamond. One hundred million is red diamond. We'll have to get her to explain to us what a red diamond is, I sure don't know.
Yeah I'd take that deal. As you were talking that suggestion was something that occurred to me. The fact is Basanti's main value is in it being a promotional curio given how many bikes you've likely sold with the channel. And being fair with all the bad fuel she's sucked it might be an idea to start on a fresh engine.
Socialism in purest form. It is not important that the machine has done 36 thousand kms, the beaurocrats know better what is good for you and what you are allowed to do with your stuff.

A bittersweet moment for sure. That was nice of the dealer to make you an even up swap for Basanti. You know with Basanti on their showroom floor they should be able to sell multiple bikes. It's always difficult to say goodbye to our faithful steeds, and traveling companions, but I'm sure the next adventure will bring a connection with your new moto, Dhanno.
Safe travels, and again, thank you for bringing us along!
Basanti will now become a museum piece...how fitting. Good luck on your new bike.
Nah they gave it to Levi Sherwood for the X-Games
(Just joking, they're really gonna enter Basanti in Red Bull Romaniacs. I'm telling you those KTM riders will be crying into their milk.)
That’s a great deal. Good for RE for stepping up. Great marketing move!
RE to RE step up?
Picked up my black Himalaya 3 Days ago and named it Bagheera :)
Bagheera now stand next to my Indian Chief and Kawasaki 1500 Drifter.
So you know your Kipling then?
You broken my heart 💔 - Basanti is Basanti.
Remember she is you're best friend ever from India.
She all ready explain everything why can’t Basanti, and no one in this world ever broke a puppy heart ❣ remember this
From a marketing prospective Basanti is worth her weight in gold along with all the youtube videos of your adventures they got a steal of a deal
You're correct, and now she gets to run a new bike, same model and see if it holds up just as well, should be a real testament to the brand, and this one she can keep.
A well built off road display stage with audio visuals of the bikes travels makes for good marketing for Basanti Enfield brand.
This is the best publicity Royal Enfield could have. Something they wouldn't have gotten even if they had spent millions on commercials.
@@Thomas-eu6fj Exactly!
I think it is a very smart/strategic move by Royal Enfield for
a big chance that your new 'Horse' will also endure >35000 km like Basanti.
Your wife must know how to motivate you LOL
@@thearchibaldtuttle Hey Archie...she's German, so I just do what I'm told! ;)
I say great deal Noraly!!! Your trading skills are how the Dutch originally bought Manhattan for $24 dollars. Good luck with the new Bike!
Congratulations on the Silver Play button !!! You're journey has been amazing and really motivating. We'll all miss "BaSaNTi". Thank you for your videos ! Congrats on "DhANNO" !!
Not a bad deal..but, will miss Basanti though.
Rajesh V,
Simply true.
Saying good bye to an old friend is never easy but you made the right decision, congrats on your award and on your new bike. Be safe on your journey.
That is really sad but I'm glad you get a new bike, huge props to Royal Enfield for that deal!!
Very emotional video. God bless Noraly and Basanti. Dont forget to swap the tuner for power u put underneath the seat
Helmand Khan,
It's no more under the seat.
That was my first question! Noraly I hope you took the ECU you fixed.
I think she'd already removed it after some issues a good few episodes back?
@@waynedl99 ahhh I've been missing out a lot then.
I'm doing my own overland trip right now from India to France. Driven 14,000km as of today and will be exiting China in the next two days. Have another 11,000km to go. Plan to reach Cannes by the end of September.
Noraly, I'm possibly in the Netherlands by the 24th of September. If your still around, I would love to meet you. As a fellow overlander and an owner of a Himalayan.

Great news, good to see RE helping you out, you’ve probably more than paid for the bike in the sales you’ve generated 😎😎
Gordon Blackley,
Yeah for sure.
Its a private company who is dealing/distributing RE - not RE themselves. The Dutch are great in these matters (great traders) I think Noraly deserves a life-time right to ride and represent RE in the world !
Thank you so much for including us in your journeys. I only learned of you at Eps.94. I followed along to the trade in of Dasanti. I know how you feel about getting back home. I have driven across the USA 4 times. And, as I started my return trip, I could hardly wait to get back home to SW Florida. Thank you again.
Basanti in the dealers window with a huge map of its travels along with some fantastic photos with Noraly, mountains and people from those places. Perfect advertisement. Win Win.
Yes it is. A win, win.
It sounds like it was the best outcome other than being able to keep Basanti. I love the black Himalayan and congrats on the silver play button!!!
Great deal Noraly, Basanti served you well and I am sure your new friend will also, a service package for your next venture would be good also, you have shown the world that Royal Enfield Motorcycles stood a tough test and came back with flying colours, take care and ride safe, enjoy your meet and greet.
At the end of the day it was never about the particular motorcycles you ride, it was and is always about the RIDER! Your incredible free adventurous spirit, your loving soul, the inspiration you give to the world and your bravery that is infectious to us all! God be with you always.
Being Indian, I am sad that Basanti's not going to be part of your journey anymore😪 but super happy for you. Happy travelling
New bike is called "Dhanno", so it's still Indian 😊
@@gtdhrvs yeee😀
"Basantwo" is coming. Thank you Basanti for the rides! Have a lot more trips. Greetings from Germany!
Basant1 , basan2? Haha
I'd have "Basantwo" rather than Dhanno. 😂 Lol.
Congratulations on your well deserved award. We all loved Bassanti but it's your adventures we follow. You got a great deal and there are exciting times ahead for all of us. Let's go!
Exactly what I was going to comment :)
Love your blogs...you're such a bubbly positive girl. Refreshing! Stay safe
Congratz Noraly & Basanti. Welcome Dhanno! Royal Enfield must hype-up her next travel adventure & treat Noraly as VIP.
A well deserved award from You Tube, you are already a legend Noraly.
GOOD LUCK with your new bike Dhanno. I totally understand growing fond of a travelcompanion like Basanti. The longer you have a bike and the more adventures you do together the more bonding you do. I long for your next video.
Understanding your attachment to Basanti, at least she went to a good home.
As long as the biker is not changed, everything's ok
Noraly, congratulate for silver baton . Do not forget Basanti. and welcome Dhanno for next journey
I simple admire youre positive attitude. Stay like that and good luck with the rest of your travel.
Noraly, Thank you for a wonderful experience showcasing this great world we live in. You have inspired my to get out my GoPro and start recording my travels. Isn't it great to do something that is your passion and call it your job. Keep up the fantastic videos , Let's go and Ride on.
Don't forget to upgrade the steering head bearings you could save yourself some worries from early failure:)
Also to check the headstock has been plated and reinforced, worrying posts about cracked and broken frames appearing in forums now. Search 'Himalayan cracked frame'.

When you get around the South Coast drop into Eastbourne. Keep the knees in the breeze.
I was in my local Harley dealer in the US and now they are also selling Royal Enfield, and had a bike just like Basanti. I told the salesman about your channel. So now you have not quite a factory sponsorship, but the next best thing. You certainly deserve it.
Thanx, Old Dirtbiker.
For every door that closes a new window opens! Your determination and eagerness to continue to pursue your travel dreams are the most inspiring one can have. Basanti will always be part of your story and never forgotten. Dhanno now has big shoes to fill in and she will make it too. With your constant smile, life positivism, simple videos and the desire to know the World you're a true inspiring Amazon and we just can`t get enough. Thank you Noraly, now LET'S GO, to Patagonia! Safe travel!!
Well done Noraly. Sorry to see Basanti go, but this way she is almost given immortality! Really looking forward to the preparation and the next adventure. 😀👍
You are amazing. So glad Royal Enfield are supporting you. Good luck in your new adventures and keep safe.
Definitely a fair deal. , congratulations 100k !! Yes we cant wait for the next trip.👌
I am watching this ride from the beginning. I am also watching your tour through Africa in the 7th series. I am going to binge this through to your series #6. I picked up your stream at the episode where you were helped by police to get through a questionable territory. Then I picked it up when you went to Canada and Haida Gwaii.
No problem! Well done Royal Enfield, good luck with your future plans. xx
I kinda feel sad for Basanti
After 125 Episodes Basanti has a special place in my heart.
*I HOPE THAT SHE'S OKAY WHEREVER SHE IS*
Earlier The "Basanti" was the name of the Horse Cart Female Rider.. And Now "Dhanno" is the name of the Horse.. These name are from a Legend Bollywood Hindi Movie "SHOLAY"...
Bas Kar fuduuu aapnaa lecture mat de 🤔
Sanjay Nayak,
Indian bike with Indian Name,
✌️ Peace ✌️,
Jai Hind.
Good to know.
From what I googled, there is also a song "Oh Girl, you're mine (Dhanno)" - which is also fitting the occasion with this bike now being hers.
At last it was a good deal, and you deserve it. The only thing that i want to say is that the name of the new bike "doesn't sound well in Italian".
Well, I was going to back up to season 2 for the season 6 at the USA border but listening to your initial season 2 video I've changed my mind and I'm going to go back and start from the very beginning season 1.
Congrats Noraly been following you from the start of your journey. Gonna miss Basanti. And warm welcome Dhanno
I personally think that black looks amazing on the Himalayan. Also grats on the gear sponsorship. Hope you get some sweet GIVI gear.
Bassanti finally came across terrain it couldn't conquer.. Bureacracy!
to be continued.. 😁
Congratulations Noraly! You did make it to 1 million subscribers in 2022! Looking forward to catching up on season two!
One day, I'll visit Netherlands on my motorcycle and one of the top my list is to see Basanti, take pics, vids, and just admire it.
Hi Noraly, just picked up my new GS850 adventure, inspired me to get travelling! Well done and keep going!
@@olor.6590 I'm guessing your reply has more to do with you having an axe to grind than anything to do with my comment.
I have season 1 done in 2023! And I'm here for season 2! Great videos, you are a great editor and I love the adventures.
Oh wow congratulations Noraly! I'm so glad Royal Enfield came good to you and how cool it is for your dealer to connect you with suppliers. Also great for TH-cam to present you a silver honor. 👍👍
A bittersweet moment for sure. That was nice of the dealer to make you an even up swap for Basanti. You know with Basanti on their showroom floor they should be able to sell multiple bikes. Have you thought of approaching manufacturers of luggage and other accessories for the right of highlighting their products in exchange for the use of their gear?Anyway I'm excited about your upcoming trip. When you get to Alaska you need to get in touch with KARMAkaze. He's a good man. Catch your show later. Vaughn
Congratulations for Dhanno ❤️ RE should sponsor your trip for promoting Himalayan overseas
I think they basically just have...
Bittersweet video. My white himalayan will continue to remind me of Basanti. I have my Itchy Boots sticker to remind me of Noraly. Enjoy your new bike, and looking forward to seeing what accessories you add.
Not only do you have close to 250,000 subscribers, but the views on your videos are well over 100,000. Way to go Noraly. Living the dream.
