AsHLiegH-MaRie HoPe I think the gadget is used just to catch the grease that drips off when it's cooking. That being said, I don't know how other people like their bacon, but I prefer mine just a little bit crispy; not too floppy, but not too crunchy either.

I use a paper plate on the top/bottom for more stability. I actually prefer microwaved bacon now over fried--fried seems so heavy and greasy to me.
Exactly. Don't even need to flip it as long as you don't put it right in the middle of the oven (there's usually a static microwave node at the centre, and spinning doesn't avoid it since the middle of the plate stays in the same place). Using a medium / low setting (which causes the oven to alternate between full power and off) also helps to make it more even. It's still not the same as cooking it on a pan, but the end result is quite good.

The thing you were calling a sushi penguin would actually be an onigiri penguin, onigiri means 'Japanese riceball' which is what you made. Also I don't mean any offence just wanted to point it out
Onigiri is made with plain rice (sometimes lightly salted), while sushi is made of rice with vinegar, sugar and salt. Sushi originated as fermented rice, intended to be wrapped around fish to preserve it. These days, however, we eat lots of different types of sushi, with and without fish. :-)

I might try the hedgehog grater it's hard for my shoulders to do up and down motions going forward and backward seem like it might be easier. I've seen them but was wondering how well the grater works thanks :)
The bubbles are because of the high starch in short grain rice. A splash of oil helps it from bubbling up but not sure if you want to use it for sushi rice.
Also, that dishwasher brush looks a bit like like a PKE meter from Ghostbusters. So, an idea that doesn't work... Overly complicated Ghostbuster-like apparatus.... Has Paul Gannon been in your house, recently ?
I have the ice-cream sandwich maker, it works like a charm. You should really try the recipe on the instruction booklet, it's awesome kinda like a chocolate brownie!
Dear Mr Barry, You can capture any foreign text with the camera on your phone and translate it with the google translate app. The app recognises text and you can highlight the words you want to translate.
I own and use that particular garlic press. Cleaning it is a nightmare, everything gets stuck in the crevices even if you wash it right away. And yes, the lever gets a little gunked up, but that's what those little pegs are for, they kinda loosen the peel to make it pop out better, so that's a plus. So it has some cons, but I actually really like it. Use it all the time.
The rice is bubbling due to some of the starch not getting rinsed off. In my experience I’ve always found that rinsing rice in a bowl of water then draining and repeating a few times does a much more reliable job of rinsing all the rice as opposed to the couple pieces directly under the tap at the time. After all in a colander the stream has to be aimed at each and every individual piece of rice to work...

I might try the hedgehog grater it's hard for my shoulders to do up and down motions going forward and backward seem like it might be easier. I've seen them but was wondering how well the grater works thanks :)
I'm excited for the day when I have supporters as amazing as yours. I love these videos
The bubbles are because of the high starch in short grain rice. A splash of oil helps it from bubbling up but not sure if you want to use it for sushi rice.
binge watching your video's when I'm not feeling well is great I'm feeling so much better:)
Also, that dishwasher brush looks a bit like like a PKE meter from Ghostbusters. So, an idea that doesn't work... Overly complicated Ghostbuster-like apparatus.... Has Paul Gannon been in your house, recently ?
I just wanted to say your fridge looks fantastic. I love that blue color.
I’m sorry but in the UK does your bacon not come pre-sliced and just in slabs?
When i saw it I thought the suit shirt purposefully had a section of the pattern missing to accentuate your high beams lol
Haha. I'm here in my kitchen watching this making my lunch for school tomorrow thinking I could do with one or two of those items 😂
Your videos are so wholesome and your videos are so cool, I love it! Just subscribed!
I have the ice-cream sandwich maker, it works like a charm. You should really try the recipe on the instruction booklet, it's awesome kinda like a chocolate brownie!
Dear Mr Barry,
You can capture any foreign text with the camera on your phone and translate it with the google translate app.
The hedgehog can never be buggered at all!
What were you cooking in the slow cooker looked good sorry off topic
Did you try flipping the batteries around the other way on the egg scrambler maybe?
On the garlic gadget the black thing scrapes the garlic off of the gadget to clean it without doing it with a utensil.
I don’t know if it would be helpful but you could try a brand new battery on the egg scrambler. Makes a difference sometimes.
Love the dramatic music when you were making the sushi penguin :-)
some of your gadget tests rly helped me out :) i have rheumatism and rly struggle with opening lids, because i don't have much strengh in my left hand.
Getting excited by a garlic press, that looks awsome!!!
these are so fun to watch!! your fridge is the coolest one i've ever seen by the way....did your kids like the donut pillows from last episode?
Yeeesssssss , bloody love kitchen gadget testing videos.
Honestly the best "gadget" i own is an air cooker, the thing is absolutely amazing! Must have.
Didn't you already do that Ice Cream Sandwich maker? Or was it a different brand? I fairly certain you did one in an earlier video at some point.
I've had my Garject for years now. It may serve only one purpose, but it serves that purpose virtuosically.
Came across your videos. I love them lol
Barry, I love when I get these notifications. You and your gadgets absolutely make my week. I love, love, love watching repeatedly. Thanks for the great work and I'm looking forward to the next video.
Been waiting for new one of these... Love it
That formal shirt really highlights your moobs. Didn't even know you had them until today.
Too all my American friends and anybody else Happy Turkey Day...I know I know it is technically not the best holiday to celebrate, but I hope everyone has a wonderful day and I for one am thankful for Barry Lewis and his wonderful videos.
have you given it UK power trough a japanese adapter again? ...you know ... AGAIN?
1:57 - Well, they're slightly out of focus and blurred from the movement, but from the bit I was able to see it looks like they're literally in Chinese. Also, it's designed / made by Hangzhou JunXin, which is a Chinese company.
That green cleaning device looks like a medieval torture device. Lol
CONGRATS ON 800,000!!!
16:27 "And then you're just left with the peel!"
... And half the glove of garlic.
