How to keep ice Frozen longer in a Cooler Box (the THERMAL MAT)

There are a few basic rules to making the ice last up to twice as long in your Esky, Cooler box, chilly bin (whatever you call it) and introducing what I call a THERMAL MAT at the end of the video

Nice one!! I've been preparing salted baits to get out and try my luck. Got brassed off losing prawns the last time so hopefully the salted ones will keep on long enough to stop the bait pinchers.

They should do because salting tuffins them right up, I've had really good success with them

Just put your cold stuff and ice packs IN the thermal bag, and then into your cooler. That way you will increase the insulation all the way around your cold stuff.

I used to do that but it got funky at the bottom with blood from the fish - that's why I only use the mat on top now.

Best to buy a bag of the same size as your cooler. Put the bag in the cooler and fill it up with ice and your drinks. Close the zip of the bag and close the cooler. This way you will have 2 layers of cooling retention.
