LOVE this video. Two young guys talking about one’s car and it feeling like an authentic interaction. Keep up the great work!! You should do a 6months follow up video with him again if he does any more upgrades!!
Thank you so much! That is such a great idea, thank you 😄 I’m currently waiting on filming an NA at the moment which should come out at some point soon! 😎
I have had the NB and the NC. I love both. Currently have an NC that I daily in all weathers in the UK. I adore it, had it for 2 years, have lots of plans for it.
Awesome! I personally love the NC because it comes with extra perks compared to previous generations, it’s sad on how much hate it gets because it’s actually quite a good car! I’m currently looking at 2009-2011 ones while I’m still saving up lol
That spoiler looks great. You can open the boot at any time by pressing the button on the lower dash, you don't have to turn the engine off, never heard of that. Also, the original puncture kit has one of those liquid tyre sealants along with the pump. I guess it can save you in an emergency.
Smoked front wing indicators look great, I changed mine, plus a few other things, 1,200 and counting. But it's nice to make the mx5 your own eh... good luck. Liked and subscribed. Because of your nice relaxed attitude. John
Hell, yea. You should get an NC! I have an ND now, but would still be running my NC if I hadn't totalled it. Great hardy tranny allows for a bump up to the 2.5 engine. Relatively roomy, hydraulic assist steering and best of all, has no display screen! I like the styling, it recalls some classic forms for sports cars past. I especially like the PRHT.
@@JamesAutoMotiveTV 2013 GT 6sp 2 liter and had just replaced the suspension with Zeta CRDs. It was perfect! I miss that car as much as I love my ND. I don't know if you have seen, but Jason Cammisa on the Carmudgeon show, very much prefers the NC over the ND.
@@JamesAutoMotiveTV The NC (nice limited edition) I wanted was sold out from under me. The 2016 ND Club was available, and I was missing the driving experience, so I picked it up. Two years later, It was rear ended and totalled. I now have a 2020 Club.
I'll be getting one in 2027. Hopefully I can find a well kept unit then. I'd even pay ND money for an NC with a powered retractable top. Planned mods would be a very silent pipe, lifted suspension and 70 series A/T tires. And that's about all I'll do to the car.
Yeah that's a good idea! I'm super excited to get one, I'm looking at around October/November time to where I'll be able to get one! I've got so much content planned for this channel for when I get it! 😃
Get the 6spd ! If u can find one. I found 07 ht grand auto car for my teenager but high mile hail damage unit. But my kids 1st car so perfect clean title also 😅
I also picked up a junkyard spare. Warning: Don't use it on the rear if you have the LSD. If you get a rear flat, swap the front on back, spare up front.
Are you sure there's no jack? I have a 2011 NC mine is in the trunk "oops boot" on the RH side is a compartment in mine the small scissor jack is there.
Yes you should. I did and have no complaints, I have niggles but they're just it's character. Everything about it is in the pocket except the chair heater switch.
@@Midlife_mike thank you so much! 😁 Videos are on the low at the moment but I’m working on doing a lot more very soon! Once I buy an MX5 the videos will start flowing through, got some good ideas… 👀
I put over 180K miles on my 2013 GT with only routine maintenance before overcooking a corner and running it aground. Higher mileage should not be a prime consideration to worry about.
yeah i feel like in the case of a lot of modern cars, they're more likely to get stolen or totaled in an accident before having a major failure (engine, transmission, etc.) unless someone is going out of their way to abuse a vehicle and is neglecting it on top of that. I would say 2013 is still a relatively newer year for cars but then again that was over 10 years ago. The mileage of the car in this video isn't even out of the ordinary though I would say, but maybe a little above average
That’s mainly the NA’s and NB’s. Yes the NC’s do rust but they’re better and if you get a good conditioned one and keep treating it then it’ll be totally fine, it’s all about taking care of the car and being careful on who you buy the car off of 😀

Thank you so much man! and yeah definitely got to make an MX5 your own aha!
I'm currently saving up for an NC myself
😄
The jack is in a compartment on the right hand side of the boot inside the flap that opens.
Oh damn really? I’ll tell him that! 😎

Oh for sure man! What NC did you have and what engine and transmission did you have?

Which headlight restorer did you use please fella, and did you bother to remove the bumper? Thanks
Hey there! Didn't take off the bumper, used a £15 Plextone kit off Amazon. Hope this helps
I also picked up a junkyard spare.
Warning:
Don't use it on the rear if you have the LSD. If you get a rear flat, swap the front on back, spare up front.
Oh interesting! thank you for the warning, any idea why that’s the case? Is it because if the rear slips it causes too much force on it?
Basically. The spare is smaller so it spins faster causing stress to the rear end.
Where are you guys located, bring your 5 by the shop one day and we can talk you through some good upgrades ect, great video. Liked and Subbed
It's a location near Farnborough/Fleet, thank you so much! 😄

Checked and it was not there, got the toolkit but no jack, must have been used and lost?
2013 NC, mine has a jack
I guess it just depends on the previous owners, they may have taken it out

Very well said my friend! I'm not too fussed about mileage, it's the previous owner that you have to worry about! :)

Get a manifold replacement.. free up 20 bhp.. the standard is terrible
I do wanna get myself a 421 mani, it's on the list!
