  • amzn.to/41NbU3n Tool Rolls: Capri, TEKTON, and the need for two more. The Capri has ICON wrenches. The TEKTON has Snap On stubby wrenches. And I need two more. One for a set of short combination wrenches, and one for a set of double box end wrenches. Any suggestions?
    On Amazon:
    TEKTON Stubby wrench roll: amzn.to/41NbU3n
    Capri Ratcheting wrench roll: amzn.to/3o0wOxV

We need a tool collection tour doc. We’re all obsessed with tools and would love that.

Pick up a used sewing machine and make your own canvas tool rolls. The material is cheap and easy to find and the stitching is simple. You can always find someone that can sew if you don't want to learn to do it yourself. Learning to sew is just like anything else, another skill set, another tool in the toolbox.

I ordered a Wright Wrench roll for my road box. USA made and nice denim.

I have a set of Black Friday sale wrenches in an old roll that stays in my truck. They are chineseium but are fine for as much as they will get used

The stubby, offset, double box-end wrenches are really handy for HVAC Service work - I have a bunch of 1/2"x9/16" 1/2"x7/16" and 3/8"x7/16" vintage Snap-on and other USA-made brands that I've gotten off of eBay over the last few years.
They're a life-saver on certain belly bands and motor brackets inside of air handlers.

Would have been better if they doubled the 10 mm size. 9mm is pretty useless.

I have the same problem, I inherited all of my fathers tools and stuff after he passed away and now I am trying to get stuff sorted
Already sold things that i don‘t need, but he too had lots of diffrent wrench sets and I don‘t know how and where to store them

I love tool rolls. The rolls store wrenches much better imo (I work out of a service van doing commercial/industrial hvac, so no roll cart that’s nearby). I hate that so many brands don’t make them any more.

The best thing about a tool roll is that once you've got it out - even though you may only need one or two of the wrenches - you then have a nice, clean surface to lay your other tools or parts on if you're not working at a bench or something.

The Tekton roll that you had looks like it would fit the bill...
you just don't fold it over as much as you do with the stubbies...

I have the tekton medium sized sae and metric combination wrench set but I bought the deal from Amazon and it came with the racks, and now I think I want the tekton wrench rolls?! But I am actually thinking of buying the largest ones and put the medium sized sets i have in them and eventually add the single ones up to the largest size wrench set that tekton offers on their website .

For a mobile mechanic, the tool rolls would be great? I don't own any tool rolls, myself? Just use the wrench racks that came with my SK Stubby's and larger one's like 15 pc. Wrenchrack branded one's in my box?

How do the different brands sound as you pile the wrenches atop each other? Can you detect a tone difference between Snap-On and, say, Capri or Duratech?

Agreed. A bit of a tongue in cheek comment on my part. I’m a hard working American as well that appreciates quality American made tools. Despite the higher cost. And I suspect you do as well. But the fact is the cost of tools is often high. I know what I make as a hard working American. And I think it is better than most. Unless I am completely naive and wrong. Even with a salary perceived as better than most I still do not think I could afford the amount of tools seem on this channel. Hence the tongue in cheek comment. Sorry if it was taken the wrong way or if it offended you or anyone.
