Glad you liked the video. It is the most rugged hike I've found in Ohio, but worth the effort.

I backpacked Shawnee back in September for 46 Climbs and had a blast. Rough terrain in spots but so worth it. Thanks for posting the video.

Glad you liked it. You're right, Shawnee is tough; but worth the effort.

where do you park if you just want to do the South loop and wanted to go clockwise just like on your video?

I park at the same Trailhead lot on Rt 125 for both loops. It sits right by Rt 125 at the entrance to Shawnee State Park. Going clockwise, you can either follow the Connector Trail to the south loop, or save a couple miles by road walking Rt 125 to the Camp OYO area and catch the trail there.

I gotta ask. What's mileage difference between North and South loop? This one is gonna be a first for me in Ohio @@YourOldManOutdoors

Starting at the trailhead on Rt 125 and using the Connector Trail for each loop, I measured the North Loop at 20.6 miles and the South Loop at 27.7 miles. If you hike them both together, You skip the connector trail altogether and your total would be 37.8 miles. @@anthonyrose2318
