- A short tutorial showing you how I use plants and paint to print cool designs onto fabric.
Here's the link to the tutorial on making the fabric book cover that I talk about in the video: theslightlymad...
Thank you so much. Excellent demonstration and it was straight forward.
This is the first day of spring...plants are just starting to bud. Can't wait! This is amazing!🙃
I could hear you OK, enjoyed your gentle voice and clear instruction, thank you.
Fabulous! Idea. I just left New Hampshire and Vermont and gathered lots of greenery I was going to frame, but NOW? I must give this technique a try. Thanks for sharing; good job!

Thank you for sharing this 🌹i have one question, Does it fade with washing?
WOWO QUÉ BUEN GUSTO...Y ES UNA TÉCNICA GENIAL..SUPER SALUDABLE....PARA NOSOTROS Y EL AMBIENTE....GRACIAS, DESDE LA REPÚBLICA. ARGENTINA.PODRÍAS TRADUCIR EL AUDIO EN ESPAÑOL, CON ESCRITURA EN LA PANTALLA. SERÍA GENIAL
Muito lindooo! Bjus do Brasil!
I could not hear what you were saying. Volume too low?
What is a White colour?
Beautiful!!! Hoping you have a pattern for your book cover!💜
Beautiful! Can you wash the finished fabric?
If you use textile paints/inks and follow the manufacturers instructions for setting them (usually some type of heat set) then yes.
what paint do you use ?
Genial
Dear sis, thanks for replying. Will this color be permanent?
It totally depends on what paint you use. If you use a paint designed to be permanent on fabric and follow the directions on the bottle to set it, it will be permanent.
What's the white cream you sweep on leaves..is a paint
Yes, it's a textile paint. You can use any acrylic paint you like. But, if you are going to wash the fabric, you'll need to use a textile paint and set it according to the paint manufacterer's directions.
Which brand colour do you use
Hi Maryam, any good fabric or textile paint will work. You want a paint with a thick consistency, not watery. I use one made in New Zealand by CCG industries. A brand like Liquitex or Jacquard will work well.
E possibile tradurre in italiano?
What types of leaf is used
You can use many types of leaves. The best ones are not too thick, but not too delicate either, and they lay quite flat. The best thing is to experiment with your local leaves and see what works for you.
Good but volume too low
Sureni
