8:50 is probably my favorite part of the song, aside from the scream that closes out the second verse.
It's so well done. It perfectly captures the raw desperation, anger, lonliness, and sorrow felt by anyone who can relate to the songs topic. The way the music slowly "falls apart" under her vocals, the way she sings and gradually builds the verse, the sharp audible inhales, everything is so perfecr and well done here.

I never thought ADO would cover this song that was released over 20 years ago.
But I thought this song was perfect for ADO.
Some people think that ADO's singing style is too strong and doesn't fit the lyrics and atmosphere of the song, but I thought it was a good cover.
I used to like "Crime and Punishment" (by Sheena Ringo) and used to listen to it when I was a student, but I like ADO's cover better than the original.
Besides, it's nice to see an old song revived in this way.
Speaking of which, there is a live version of yoasobi's "idol" out there if you're interested.
I was reminded once again that that song is a complete song including the audience at the live performance.

Ado always amazes me, but the next song I recommend is so impressive that it's hard to believe it's sung by the same singer as Crime and Punishment.

Ado is a goddess as usual , and her production team is craaazy as well . nothing new here . Ah btw you should really have a look at chainsawman endings (my favs are 1,3,8,9) . Well, since you are a drummer and like Japanese bands, you need to listen to Band-Maid, a fantastic all female rock band with one of the top drummers in the world Akane Hirose. They also just had a new song come out called Shambles. I also recommend No God, Play, and Puzzle. Also you can't do bad with more Ado!
