Not the opener, this is the encore. This was performed at a festival in Japan in November 2023 called NEX_FEST which Bring Me The Horizon hosted and Babymetal were guests at. Babymetal did their set earlier in the day and then returned to perform Kingslayer with BMTH at the end of their set.
BMTH and BABYMETAL first met in 2015 and kept in touch. From my understanding BMTH, especially Ollie, befriended them because they were very young teen girls performing at the big metal festivals, which must have been intimidating. Then in 2019, BABYMETAL asked them to open for them for the final leg of their world tour ending in Japan. Then when Kingslayer was released in 2020, Ollie made a mini doc video explaining that when they opened for BABYMETAL in front of 20,000 people, it was a huge crowd for them and it helped their fanbase in Japan grow. So, he wanted BABYMETAL to be on one of their songs to show their appreciation. He mentions that BABYMETAL's people originally submitted all English lyrics, but Ollie said he wanted them to sing in Japanese. Then in 2023 they FINALLY got to perform Kingslayer live together! There is an old photo online of Ollie surprising the very young girls by wearing a BABYMETAL t-shirt with the sleeves torn off (I believe he performed their set wearing it too). The looks on the girls faces is priceless!🤘🦊🤘
The live version is so much better than the studio version. Sounds even heavier and not as much processing in Su's voice. If you want fun, you should check out the latest BM collaboration with Electric Cowboy. Caution, it's addictive 😁.
By the way, BABYMETAL crowds basically have their own choreography and lyrics/chants that they do! I like to think of BABYMETAL crowds/fans being like the 4th member of the group! Which would make sense since the FANS + BABYMETAL = "The One".🤘🦊🤘
Welcome back and hope to see you around with more BM songs. Iirc this was the first song of the encore, so it was a couple of songs before the ending. This was a BMTH festival called NEX_FEST in Japan but I'm not an expert on BMTH fans and crowd all i know is they rock and go wild too, so for me it perfectly fit with BM fans. Btw they recently released another collab along with Electric Callboy called RATATATA that is getting everyone pump up and becoming the hit of this summer super fast, you can come back with that reaction but i think you will also love another super collab they along with F.Hero x Bodyslam called "Leave It All Behind". This was the best 2020 collab between these two great bands and we finally got this collab on the stage together after so much time waiting for it. BMTH performed at Southside Festival in Germany and Hellfest Festival, there's a nice proshot version but with only BabyMetal backing track vocals, luckily now we got this amazing clip showing them sharing the same stage at Makuhari Messe during a festival called "NEX_FEST" ending October and starting November last year, and they did it not only once but four times in a row, everyone went bonkers with these, you can also find fancams of each night showing some different interactions at the end between Oli and the girls, SuMetal thanked to BMTH in all of them, that's the only thing i can complain about this clip but it's cool anyway. BMTH couldn't have better collab on their latest album Post Human Survival Horror, there are some others really good songs there thou but this one is just on another level. My suggestions are: "Parasite Eve" and "Teardrops", also "Ludens" from Death Stranding OST videogame. This song was produced by Mick Gordon, the same behind videogames like Doom, Wolfenstein and Prey, so you can feel the vibes here. They're friends since 2015 when met each other at Kerrang Awards so the collab was almost naturally unavoidable. They even performed as a support band for BabyMetal and Oli praise the Fox God too (atheist, dame, zettai)🦊🤘 The drum&bass instrumental intro on this song is called "Itch For The Cure" which is clearly a tribute to Linkin Park song "Cure For The Itch", but the short animation and dialogue wasn't part of the album track, it's a reference to Metal Gear Solid videogame created by Hideo Kojima, they got another MGS tribute song called "Shadow Moses" and later in 2019 they were part of Death Stranding OST, another Hideo Kojima game. Also you can find a short documentary about the making of this song where Oli said interesting things about the method they worked with the BM team and giving multiple choice of doing this. Next suggestion to meet a new collab they recently: - F.Hero x Bodyslam x BabyMetal - Leave It All Behind official MV. Thanks for sharing this and see you next time.🤘🔥

If you want to see BABYMETAL perform more freely on stage without much choreography, watch them perform "Painkiler" and "Breaking the Law" live with Rob Halford, or when they joined Red Hot Chili Peppers on stage in 2016 (BABYMETAL was their opening act during their tour) and Su got into a jumping contest with Flea. LOL🤘🦊🤘
Great stuff. It took 3 years from when they recorded the song before they could finally get together to play it live ... then they did it 4 times at each of the NEX_FEST events around the start of November last year. It was so worth it, you could see for yourself how much they were enjoying themselves.🤘🦊
Thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。They performed "REAL" Kingslayer (BMTH+BM on stage together) 4 times in Japan last year as a special rendition in the festival curated and hosted by BMTH. I witnessed the 2nd REAL one in Nagoya on Nov.1. That was mesmerizing 😍 and I forgot to breathe during the performance. In an interview Momometal made an interesting comment like : (1) The theme of this choreo is "collision of souls" that has an image like we throw the power multiplied by the two bands at the audience. (2) We danced with our fullest power and solid determination : "We do not care no matter what happens to us after the performance" I saw the girls literally do it. (BABYMETAL did this performance after their own strenuous one-hour show in the festival.) The one thing worried me was the statement at the end of this song in the final show in Tokyo on Nov.4. After joyful hugs with the girls, Oli said "We are never gonna play Kingslayer without them, ever again. Just not right." But I found that there was no need to worry. In 2024 BMTH started to use 3 CG figures resembling the girls on the backdrop. And the two groups performed this song together again in Las Vegas on April 27.
If you watch footage from the Japanese metal/rock outdoor festivals (similar to the one in this video which was being held by BMTH), BABYMETAL crowd acts just like this and with huge walls of deaths. The BABYMETAL concerts that are in arenas get wild too, but due to the way the fans chant, sing parts, and interact during each song, they seem a little more like they are under Su's control, aside from the many circle/mosh pits going on. During some songs, where Su has the crowd sing for her, even the circle pits stop completely. Also during BABYMETAL concerts, the crowd often jumps around or pump their arms in sync with the girls during each song. BABYMETAL crowds have their own parts to chant, yell, or move in each song. 🤘🦊🤘
Most of BM's fans are rock / metal fans. What you saw in this video is what you can see in BM's concerts too. From the beginning, any session band members that go with BM live are told to go ham as much as they can, no holding back just because in front of them are 3 girls with sweet vocals. The energy in their concert is really high.
Love both bands, and watching this video, it never ceases to bring a grin to my face to hear Ollie getting out of breath when screaming his lines, but then you got Su dancing away and hitting her notes like a champ. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤘🦊🤘
In terms of BMTH crowds and BABYMETAL crowds probably not mixing... You should watch more of BABYMETAL's live stuff I would say... P.S.: About singing Japanese songs as a non-Japanese: Yeah, this can be pretty hard for native English speakers. We Germans have an advantage regarding this matter since our pronunciations of the syllables are very similar. So it's, mainly (not entirely), a matter of learning the lyrics.
You should react to live BABYMETAL, specifically recent live performances of their songs Road of Resistance, Monochrome and Mirror Mirror from their PIA Arena 2023 concerts. Road of Resistance: th-cam.com/video/4XYMvGJy1JI/w-d-xo.html Monochrome: th-cam.com/video/8pvxCzhBsTM/w-d-xo.html Mirror Mirror: th-cam.com/video/gOg-THRtxbw/w-d-xo.html Playlist of recent performances: th-cam.com/play/PL7Y918oJxXaYGAlhN3DLd5AAoye11F3o4.html
They have being friends for many years like big brothers to them at Metal Festivals this collaboration had been coming for years and so happy it did . Epic 😁🤘🏼🦊🤘🏼
3:16 well, first of all, you have to remember the UK is Babymetal's "second home" when it comes to fans and that's BMTH actual home country. Also when BMTH opened for Babymetal in Japan before this song (I believe 2019) it made BMTH more popular in Japan, so the overlap is bigger now than it ever was. Something to understand a lot of fans of Babymetal are actually metal fans who are not as much into harsh vocals, Babymetal brought a lot of those fans back to metal because of their clean vocals (as you also mentioned, Su-metal's extreme clean vocals). Not just Babymetal, but also other metal, lots kind of disinterest with music in general in a lot of cases and resparked the interest in all kinds of music. Especially with Babymetal you become a lot more open minded as well. About Metallica, let's remember Metallica did perform with Lady Gaga (which sadly failed because of the event organizers messed up the audio). And years before it Lady Gaga actually had Babymetal open for her on her own tour in 2014 in the US (4 shows if I'm not mistaken). And she was rocking out in the security/photographer pit in front of the stage when Babymetal performed. Babymetal's choreography is based on the lyrics and maybe the shot in the video at 11:51 is also based on the lyrics: "down the rabbit hole." ? 13:16 they didn't do at the first performance of the 4 times they did it, but they developed this idea along the way, it's such a perfect fit, it works so well. Yes, Babymetal and BMTH have done lots of tours and are at top fitness professionally, not just physically and thus they can deliver such a thing and just like with top athletes, etc. the best make it look easy !
If I remember correctly, first night that they performed this song together, that at the end Ollie yells out something like "I will never perform this song without BABYMETAL ever again", or something like that. They performed it together every night of the Next Fest, as well as in Las Vegas at Sick New World. 🤘🦊🤘
I'm not sure how BmtH crowds typically act, but BABYMETAL crowds go absolutely nuts! The biggest mosh pit I've ever been caught up in was at a BABYMETAL show!
2:00 as for your question, if i'm not mistaken, it was the opening specially for this song. And if my memory is right, this song was maybe in the middle or latter half of BmtH setlist for this one.
Excellent reaction. BMTH and BM have enjoyed a strong friendship since meeting in 2015. By the way, Ed Sheeran is a fan of BM. English pronunciation is very difficult for Japanese. I can't pronounce a single word correctly. I was surprised that you pronounced the Japanese part perfectly.
Nice reaction. Nope not the first song. They worked up to this. Because of covid this live performance took 5 years to happen. Well worth the wait. Many folks have mentioned those deep headbangs together at the end of the song. especially Moa's. Her being call Best Metal in Babymetal isn't for nothing. After this performance you can see Moa and Momo doing these deep headbangs in their own shows. They had a lot of fun doing this. Ollie said they would never do this song again without Babymetal. That's how much fun they had together. The Babymetal foxhole is deep and full of surprises.
As someone who has seen this live at sick new world, the overlap of Baby Metal fans and BMTH fans was huge! Everyone was SUPER into it! Their stage during the day was packed also!
When this conversation happens and people hear that intro...shit goes WILD. Saw them perform in Italy this summer and that whole storyline during the show was funny af.
No they are not similar. The Bandscare simply friends, that is all what Mattered. In the beginning thid was a pure Corona Project that Babymetal currently developped to a Bussiness Propoasal that fits their unique Structure when F. Hero asked them for Help they established some Grounriöes and for Ratatatata they knew what they can offer and whx.
That really was a great reaction. Loved your comments. A couple of things pertaining to comments you made. Some years ago during a Japan tour, Metallica had Babymetal open for them. And apparently Babymetal was planning on singing all their lyrics in English. Ollie said he thought it'd be cooler keeping some in Japanese. I have to agree. And another fantastic collab for Babymetal.
In the same largest city of Tokyo, once a greatest SUPER LOUDEST APEX LIONESS ROAR of the YOUNG LADY, Amanda Yuna, made her very impressive perfection performance skills of 2018! [ Taking you out Tonight! ] Final 2018 tour at zepp Divercity Tokyo. By passcode for epicness or Passcode band. August 3rd 2021, the most talented SCREAMING VOICES! Would very sadly an unfortunately go into retirement of a poor illness! I'm very greatly honoring, Amada Yuna's very impressive beautiful successful career.👏 from 2018 to 2021 the greatest time period for passcode! We all miss you. Amada Yuna, very finest LIONESS SCREAMING VIOCE Lady. [ Taking you out Tonight! ] is her very best loudest screaming ever heard to a live audience of very loyal fans!👏 Absolutely 💯 Perfection!🥰 My great inspiring message is out! Have a great fabulous wonderful day.
The audio from this I think is from the other night(s) - not sure if there were 2 or 3 days of concerts - and I say that because the original fancam video on YT you heard Su's voice crack ever so slightly in the very first performance. Also, Ollie during the first performance yelled out "1, 2, fuck you!" instead of here when he yelled "Let's go, Tokyo!" The video is also a combination of a couple of the nights, especially the part where he is up with them and does the scream, because you can see him at the start with Su on one side of him, then they cut back mid way and she's on the other side, then they cut back at the very end and she is back on the first side (I think it's his right, left, right). As for the girls learning of English, Su is at this point damn near fluent in speaking it, but probably missed practicing it as much when everything shut down around the world for the pandemic. She is still at the point where she has to consciously translate the English to Japanese in her head and then translate that back to English to answer. If you go back to right before the pandemic, she was doing very well, but then it seemed like she definitely took a step back briefly. One of their most recent interviews in New York she was killing it, though. Moa and Momoko have gotten better as well, but Momoko also studied abroad for a bit in Australia, I believe, so hers would have been pretty solid because of that.
This is actually a rather tame crowd by Babymetal standards. I think you have no idea what a Babymetal show is like. Not saying that in a negative way but just a fact. Babymetal crowds are absolutely crazy. Oh and you do know that Babymetal opened for Metallica a number of years ago right?
Umm, no. I was there close to the rail for Baby-Metal's set and it was insane. Although Maximum the Hormone's was even crazier. I had to leave the rail for BMTH just to get a chance to breath.
The live version is so much better than the studio version. It sounds a lot heavier and there's not as much processing in Su's voice. If you want fun, you should check out BABYMETAL's latest collaboration with Electric Cowboy.
You have no idea what a Babymetal crowd is like if you compare to Ed Sheeran or anything similiar to that lol, they are a metal crowds, as metal as it gets
👍👍An awesome performance by 2 amazing bands. BABYMETAL, the Queens of collaborations: ♪♪ I'll fight for you until I die, We love all the music, We push it to the limit, Do it, do it now.♪♪ Great reaction. 🦊 🖖❤
Found you through your Greyson-Sleep Token reaction. Loved it and perused your vids and found this mind-blowing gem. You're great to watch! It's nice to get a learned opinion from someone so easy going. Could you react to BMTH live @ The Royal Albert Hall? As much or as little as you want to obviously. It'd be interesting to hear what you think about BMTH with an orchestra supporting them.
You'd be surprised at how much crossover there actually is between fanbases. Bold of you to compare *Bring Me The Horizon's* crowds to *Ed Sheeran's,* though. 😜
During the European tour this year, Su-metal talked the audience to hype them up, she spoke in 16 different languages; only 1 did she not quite use the right form. This included Finish (a level 5 difficulty language - for an English speaker - Japanese is only a level 4 difficulty for an English speaker), Swedish, English, German, French, Polish...... The BM part was originally meant to be entirely English by BMTH wanted them to sing in Japanese, so we got this mash up. As for singing in Japanese for Su-metal, Japanese language has no diphthongs, all vowels are pure and are spoke/sung as is (except for silent U : re desu). English has many diphthongs (complex vowels). This pure vowels suits Su-metal's pure perfect pitch and non-use of vibrato and why I much prefer when BM sings in Japanese over the English.
This is not their opening. Theres a whole intro with E.V.E, and she pips in and out throughout the concert. Its so cool. They obviously went bk stage to get this whole thing ti a buikd up fir babymetal. Which is cool. Im not at all a babymetal fan. Its si gimmicky and cheesy for me personally. But love this song. Perfect job. It goes too well. Top tier. And BMTH as si good live now. Oli has really upped his gane vocally. I saw them in sept 21, and then this year in jan, and they've gotten alot better in just 3 years. Can't wait to see them again. Ecen did diamonds arnt forever, and antivist withnoah sabastian from bad omens. That was cool AF.
Lo siento. Me gusta participar, comentar y analizar, pero estoy segura de que hay canales que reproducen videos y se quedan callados. ¡Son geniales también! ¡Espero que encuentres uno que te guste! 😁
The four of them headbang together is awesome.
Right! Go ahead gate keepers, I dare you to watch this and say Baby Metal isn't "metal" 🤘
It makes me so happy to see every time
Bro Ollie headbanging with babymetal is so hard. I can't help but go WTF

Moa with the twintail headbanging at the end. Babymetal trademark.
Su's English is VERY good now, even if her pronunciation isn't 100% perfect

The first song of their encore. Baby-Metal's set was immediately before BMTH's.
Yes, Babymetal and BMTH have done lots of tours and are at top fitness professionally, not just physically and thus they can deliver such a thing and just like with top athletes, etc. the best make it look easy !
wow!wow!your Japanese singing is so good😲
BABYMETA〜a〜a〜a〜L〜🔥🇯🇵🇬🇧 ❤🦊🤘🦊🤘
It was the seventeenth song in BMTH’s set.
The first song of a three song encore.
Insane performance fr
When this conversation happens and people hear that intro...shit goes WILD. Saw them perform in Italy this summer and that whole storyline during the show was funny af.
You should check out how Mike Portnoy managed to play nickleback
No they are not similar. The Bandscare simply friends, that is all what Mattered. In the beginning thid was a pure Corona Project that Babymetal currently developped to a Bussiness Propoasal that fits their unique Structure when F. Hero asked them for Help they established some Grounriöes and for Ratatatata they knew what they can offer and whx.
Please react babymetal's amore
Good reaction. Please do more live Babymetal. Anything from the PIA Arena shows will give you a pretty good idea of what a Babymetal crowd is like.
The collab is insane🤘🔥
You should react to Babymetal's Kami Band Intro videos.
Nobody but Nobody can headbang like Moametal, I swear she smacked her head on the stage.
This makes me want to cry from
The adrenaline rush lol this is sooo hard
You should watch the Babymetal crowd at Rock am Ring, no Ed Sheeran there 🤣
Check out BMTH and Ed doing a live colab. Funny you mentioned Ed in your colab match
BABY METAL🔥🤘🦊🤘🔥
🍅💀🍅
🤘🏼🦊🤘🏼
" Ohhhhh Yeaaaaaa ! "
Yay metal at its finest.
サークルぶつかるトコ、見逃してるから、チェキラ👍🙏
Hey bro, you gotta react to the new Drumeo video with Dirk!
are you doing babymetal/electric callboy ratatata?
Metallica and Ed Sheeran are completely different genres...Babymetal songs are just as heavy musically as BMTH...Are you serious?
Why do you stop the video every time?
parem de pausar o video estraga toda imersao
Lo siento. Me gusta participar, comentar y analizar, pero estoy segura de que hay canales que reproducen videos y se quedan callados. ¡Son geniales también! ¡Espero que encuentres uno que te guste! 😁
