757# Swordfish! Massive Broadbill Swordfish with Capt. Nick Stanczyk!

- On March 31, 2019 Bill and Debbie booked a swordfish trip with Capt. Nick Stanczyk. First drop of the day we hooked a giant 757 lb swordfish that took 8 hours to catch! It took some time but we eventually got it in the 37’ Freeman Boatworks and headed back to Bud n’ Mary’s Marina to get a weight and clean it up for dinner!

What an amazing fish! May I suggest a chain fall type hoist with a 3/4 ton working load limit at the dock and a small 1/2 ton on the boat. It will make life much easier for y’all.

Got electric reels but a manual hoist back at Bud & Mary's

Congratulations beautiful female swordfish is understandable because usually the male is smaller and when they capture the companion he always remains close happens very often here with me in the Strait of Messina in Sicily. The couple of swordfish is called "Paricchia" in dialect. Nice catch😉😉👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
