  • EVO!
    This week Mark and Stu road test this sweetly-modded Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VIII. This modern example of the classic rally car that dominated the WRC is equally at home on the road or on a racetrack. The Mitsubishi Evo 8 is a true modern classic JDM car. Tasteful modifications have made this EVO 8 a satisfying daily driver for the owner.
    inCARnation Australia is all about real road reviews by real race drivers on real roads - of great sports, modern and classic cars.

    Nice and clean looking Evo VIII with Mark wearing a cool Seiko 5 Naruto limited edition watch to match!

    @9.03 when you stepped on it turning my Evo 3 RS would of slide into the wall Haha, Great Video an Great review, Tbh 25psi on an Evo is Low, Stock is 18-19psi Also the turbo this car is using is only a fraction larger than the Stock 16G turbo, great turbo non the less i like that the owner has kept it as a Cornering car, as for mine is built to go fast but can still corner nicely, 2.1L only revving to 8000rpm its got alot more Rpm in it with a larger turbo,

    Good review. I realize you just borrowed the car but if Mike had a chance to drive it on the limit on the track he would appreciate it even more. Fantastic cars to drive on the limit and so composed.

      Good idea. The owner says the car is capable of low to mid 1:40s at Sydney Motorsport Park - which is super quick for a street car. So sure - let's get Mark out there for a proper track test or a side-by-side comparo with something similar. That would be cool.

      @@inCARnationAustralia ok great. Even on the limit the active diffs (EVO7-9 centre and rear) let you change direction in the middle of a corner interesting to experience first hand if you have never driven an EVO on the track before.

    Is it hard to rev match these? I only got one Turbo car an RX7 FD and its really hard to blip due to the turbo lag.

    • @sodazman
      @sodazman 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not at all, even stock standard there's not much turbo lag. The RX7s have a lot more lag in comparison.

      It's true. We tried about 5 times to review the Alfa 105 and the forecast was rain each time. Bloody clouds. Go away!
