Charging NMC batteries to 100% is no problem as long as you don't leave them fully charged for days/weeks. Charge to 100% and then drive, no problem.

I Went with his hiro Coil overs.. We love 928s for their distinctive shape and attention to smooth, subtle surfacing. The 911s used to be like that but have morphed into bloated luxury racers that cost far too much. The 28 need not compete, they are great as pets, sitting in their garages looking up waiting for us to come down and rub their heads. I love these cars as much today as I did in 1979 when I first drove one.

The ONLY problem with this masterpiece if you can call it that is the Badge, the Prestige driving status conscious crowd is never going to warm to this, they ALL rather be driving a Made in China C200 Mercedes Benz just for the Badge and name itself therefore the supercar power and speed etc is not going to mean much in the real world.

Beautiful timeless cars. I bought a manual 89 928 S4 from the junkyard a while back thinking I was going to restore it but came across a much better driving example, an 88 S4. The auto transmission was slipping though so ended up using the manual trans from the 89 on it and took some parts off and junked the rest. i know about the dirty look of tesla drivers.. i drive a ionic 5 also and play the role of the king because they the inoc 5 is so much cooler..tesla drivers r just jealous that they bought the wrong car,,, teslas suck in corners n their 1000hp tesla got beat by the ionic 5. lmfao teslas suck n ionics rule... teslas r inferior in every way except the automatic driving fsb or something like that, but this will change in a year...the only time u want auto driving is if u cant drive in which case u should not be driving.

As a SL55 owner, I am not sure about the investment part unless you have a mechanic that works for free full time, but but I love my '05.

Wimbledon Green.

Eibach proline springs fix the ride despite 25mm drop at the front and 15mm at the back. They're progressive so still pretty stiff for good handling but very good at smoothing out the small bumps making the ride much less jiggly. Non-cup dampers improve the ride hugely as well. And removing the center box makes the exhaust note much better without making it louder.

When are we getting some non EV content on the 928 :) As I am the last generation probably enjoying these wonderful V8’s i was so much drawn into you stories on them. The quality of you video’s is top notch but the charm of the old original engines is so addictive!

I am keen to see what seat option you go with and how you mount it. I keep going around circles looking for an option for mine. The originals need work but as mine is a sun roof car I would like to find more clearance. If you could indicate when your new ones are in wether they are any lower, that would be great. Hi Stu, Matt's doing a great job on the fabrication! For seats consider Recaro LX's (about $3k) and for teh colour Wimbledon Green, or check out the first Porsche metallic green Lago Green Metallic, that came out in 1956 on 356's

Honestly, for the money, what a great car. I test drove the pre facelift model. Very impressive. It was on my shortlist.

If its to save a classic that otherwise would be scrapped, i am onboard with the ev conversion
