This is by far the best coverage of this vehicle from an American reviewer. He rightly acknowledged that this does not necessarily replace the 200 series, but this is the kind of small land cruiser sold as Prado in other markets, including in Kenya where the Prado is the most popular landcruiser. Here, we also get the 300 series with engines such as 3.3 to 3.5 litre twin turbos, having replaced the 200 series in 2021 (no more V8). The outgoing Prado (Landcruiser 150), has been replaced by the 250 seen here, sold just as "Landcruiser Prado". We are yet to get it with hybrid system, but three rows come as standard. Before, when North America still got the 200 series, your Prado equivalent was the Lexus GX, although you had bigger engine options in there. We also get the utilitarian 70 series, and Toyota has also stopped offering a V8 in that one as well, with changes having started in Australia. Having said all that, this was a relaxing review. Cheers!
Thank you so much! I know many people here would love to see the vintage 70 series and maybe a diesel. We do have 300 series as Lexus LX 600 here but it is very expensive.
I could buy a used 200 with 80k miles or a new 250 series. Hmmmmmmmmm..... let's see v8 12mpg built for HEAVY duty things or... a light duty 250 that's brand new.. hmmm leaning to the 250
Have the new trail dust first edtion. Love it so far. Way more power than expected and comfort and tech is top notch. Zero regrets and I have owned them all, over the last 20 years. One month into it and I love it 100%.
Congratulations! Great truck!
I'll be picking one up soon.. almost wanna wait til 2025 because I'm expecting the sales for all vechiles to.slow down even more and dealers to have better deals
@@noctilucent7396 I know that dealers are already making deals on them.
@@noctilucent7396 you can get discounts now.
Who is this glamorous?!
😀
What a great review! Love the color and the video!
Thank you! Me too!
I don't generally like silver cars but this with the black trim looks really sleek. Great review!
Me neither, but this is a different kind of gray. Thanks for watching!
Great review. Nice job on this one.
Thank you!
Came from 200 series- really like the on road manners of this one better.
Thanks for sharing! That is a surprise quite frankly.
Love mine. Came from 2014 LC.
@@joekissfm awesome! Was it easy to adjust from v8 to 4 cyl?
@@MattTheCarguy I must admit. The v8 is a smooth ride but the 4 turbo is fast and responsive
@@joekissfm thank you!
Thanks-I wish it had a basic Japanese V6 engine in it.
I thought in Japan it comes with the 2.8L 1GD-FTV engine which is 4 cyl diesel.
Just buy the GX550
@@MattTheCarguy
The V6 is made in Japan
Why would you care so much if it has a hood prop? It’s not a Chevy or ford, you won’t be working in it anytime soon
Я владею Lend cruiser 250 с мотором 2.4 turbo, и очень доволен этим мотором. 2.4 мне нравится больше, чем 4L v6
Here in South Africa there is a third row seat. But I have not seen a hybrid one.
Are they diesels?
Yes they come with a diesel engine
I do have one v8 2002 very good! I wished it is a 6 cylinder straight!
Toyota doesnt make i6 at least not in US. GX550 has the v6. If thats what you prefer.
Weather is very nice there
Yes... for the most part if you like hot and sticky 😂
I like the round headlights more but it's not worth 13k more. And I prefer leatherette to real leather cause of easier maintenance.
You can get the round lights with base 1958 but you wont get the leatherette. My favorite trim is this one.
Edit: I am looking for Meteor shower on the configurator and it does not exist. So I think that color is Atomic Silver.
Im not sure where you are located but Atomic Silver is not even an option here in US. It is definitely Meteor Shower.
Nice motor
Yes, feels good.
If I can find the 2.0 hybrid engine... I will be very happy... thank you for the video
Where? Not in US for sure. Are these available in other countries.
@MattTheCarguy .. in our country, large engine options have high taxes.. that's why.. those larger than 2.0 engines are not available.
well done ,thanks
Thank you!
The prado soon loses diesel ..so its up to the fortuner
@@ra_redesignautomobiles we never had diesel here in US, but would like to
Which trim includes those rims?
This is the middle trim simply called Land Cruiser.
Does this have a moonroof? Is this the usa model?
It does not have a sunroof and yes, it is a US model.
@@MattTheCarguy which trim is this?
@@antoniocognato5023 this is the middle one. Its just called Land Cruiser, the only one with rectangular lights.
No need more Toyota
👍
