Love how Christian Kirbo has turned from a one time gag, to a running gag or overused joke depending on who you ask, and has now finally manifested itself as a staple of the series.
Like noone is even questioning it anymore its just how it is, Mario is posessed by a TAS, Fox is constantly mashing his controller and Kirbo is an Apostel of the Lord and Savior.

I think because it actually makes some sense in Kirby canon. The Kirby universe is filled with dark, evil, violent gods after all. So it kind of makes perfect sense that Yahweh would be among them. And it makes for some fantastic irony that Kirbo is a godslayer who is still a slave to his own god.
Considering the lore of Kirby Games, *this seems very plausible.*

My little sister clapped and cheered on this part. She liked the idea of the enemy being forgiven and transformed. For an 8 year old to understand that was mind blowing to me.

He is the ultimate physical representation of negativity in the Kirby universe, a scourge whose sole motivation is to rid the universe of any positivity. Why, you may ask? He's jealous of happiness, as he is cursed to feel no emotions other than hate, sorrow, greed, and agony. He is the bi-product of Void Termina, theorized to be the creator of Dark Matter and the Kirby species. The reason he looks like an angel? Well, he kind of died in Kirby's Dreamland 3 and his design here was to make reference to that fact.

@@irok1 Naw. Orthodox. Catholics are cringe, worship idols, get the trinity blatantly wrong, and have to listen to a central authority that can just decide things in your life. Orthodox has none of that. The only way to add anything to the Orthodox tradition is for literally all the patriarchs to agree on it, so new, weird 'developments', either.
This hits harder when you realize that Zero originally saw himself as a benevolent force, seeing the end of free will as a good thing, hence the Halo when he reincarnates as Zero Two. Much like how Saul once saw himself as such for persecuting Christians early on.

Well as someone who was born Christian…Kirby is obviously God’s favorite. I mean I’m not even mad. Kirby is pure perfection, and God wanted to share him with us.

Christian Kirby doesn’t kill his enemies, he baptises them in the light of the Lord. And if they burn to a crisp because of it, then that just means they were demons sent from Hell to test the Lord, and have been sent back to the pit that spawned them.
When Terminal montage saw the one comment disapproving of Christian Kirbo he kick the character into overdrive and everyone loved it
I wonder if this will lead into something else, if 02 has become a disciple, he surely will return at some point to help Kirbo in a new adventure!

Fun Fact: I just learned about Saul in a tangent from my AP US History teacher. Not only does that make me understand this so much more, but it is infinitely funnier.

If we go by Kirby Lore (that we know of), Void is a neutral power until exposed to positive or negative energy, with Kirby being the result of Positive, and Zero being the result of Negative. This scene means that Zero, a being who was birthed from negative energy, was purified and was given a second chance because of Kirby.
Making 02 into Saul of Tarsus was a heck of a creative decision and I can’t get enough

I think 02 will be Kirby's friend in future adventures (because he kinda represents Saul in the scripture and later in the Bible he just preaches the gospel wherever he goes)
As a Catholic, the ongoing gag of Kirby being an apostle who spreads the word every once in a while is actually inspiring.
As an active subscriber and a Christian, I adore this stuff so much. It's not in your face or overly used. May God bless Kirbo's many adventures in Dreamland.

I just need to take time regularly to appreciate the fact that it was just a running joke but then somebody got angry at him for it and now the mad lad is just going hard as hell

I can't help but admire and respect how serious this scene is, something as sacred as baptising isn't joked around with or played for gags, but I can still appreciate the comedic value of kirbo helping O2 accept the right of passage to receiving Jesus' s blessing

That last shot of Kirbo just standing in the water with a smile on his face is absolutely beautiful.

02 with legs is one of the most cursed things to come out of this series
Possibly the greatest moment of Kirbo. 0², one of the main villains of the franchise, is seen as a fallen angel. Despite what he has done, Jesus forgives 0² and Kirbo proceeds to baptize him, allowing him to return to his origin as Saul. Saul, in return, leaves in peace to spread Christ's word across the cosmos as Kirbo looks on proudly. Truly a poyo/10 moment.

Before you ask: Yes the divine light thing is a reference to Cruelty Squad because I don't know much about the bible.
Now that I think about it, isn't 02 a biblically accurate depiction of an angel? Weirdly placed eyes, a halo, wings etc. Isn't it then weird to think why an angel is getting baptized?

I'm still hoping that we one day get a full team up of Kirbo, Simon Belmont, and Doom Slayer. Truly, the three of them would be unstoppable instruments of God's will.

I will always respect the fact that terminalmontage is avoiding potential heresy by quoting thr Bible in the context it originally was used for. Yeah, Saul (who became Paul) wasn't a giant eye, but he did murder a lot of Jews before God literally slapped him to the ground, made him blind and commanded him to stop.
So it honestly doesn't matter how powerful an enemy in the "Something series" universe is. Kirbo has God on his side so he can't lose.
And so... Saint 02 started spreading the word of the lord around all the known universe
Later, 02 was preaching the gospel when he encountered some jews wanting to murder him. He told them "I am not afraid of death, as my work is finished." The Jews stoned him to death, and 02 went to heaven to live with his Holy Creator.
