- If you are looking to buy a drone in 2024 should you buy a DJI Mavic 2 Pro? It's over 6 years old now but it's still a fantastic drone for both stills and video. In this video I will give you my thoughts on it having owned one since it came out.
I will also show you why you should own a drone if you live anywhere near the coast. Come and watch as I photograph the salt marsh estuary at low tide.

Hi Dave I love those top down images especially the 'serpent' to be honest I mainly use my mini 2 drone for images and rarely video (which I'll post on Facebook) I have considered upgrading to the mini 4 Pro but as I don't use it enough can't really justify it. Not yet anyway 😊
Interesting place that Mr, reminds me of Fleetwood Wrecks 😉📷👍🏻
Never been mate but those salt marsh estuaries are all similar. Great locations.
Absolutely stunning images mate very creative indeed, that birds eye view really gives a different perspective 👍
Cheers Daniel
Well done Dave, I took mine out this evening for a quick fly around.
Looking forward to seeing the images Shaun
Amazing images Dave. 👍
Thanks Phil, it’s a great location
Really enjoyed this video I used to live in Tollesbury how it has changed, content about the drone was very interesting many thanks.
Glad it was worthwhile
Thanks Dave !!! Great Info... I recently have been wanting a Drone ... The cost seems Reasonable (which is good) :) :) :)
Glad you enjoyed it
If it works it works. The problems with that is the size and therefore the limitations where you can fly it and when.
Some fantastic images mate great vlog!
Yeah size is a consideration. Taking it to Norway as it will withstand higher winds.
@@davepeckphotography are the rule in the EU zone the same as the UK?
No, different in different countries. Always need to check. Norway you need a licence and it needs paying for but nothing too insurmountable
You need a new drone… I’ll get shopping for you 🙂
😂😂😂
A couple notes. Turn the drone upside-down and the gimbal cover is easier to put on. I bought a cheap Zoom gimbal and you can interchange it (6 screws) and take different types of pics. The Smart controller works on the mini 2, Air 2S, Phantom 4 Pro v2. (All drones I own. I even have the Insta360 Invisible Drone case for it, 5 batteries, and a Smatree quick charge. I love this drone
I’ve got the mini 2 and didn’t know that, thanks.
