Waialea Bay - Dedicated to My Dad 6 of 10 - Island Horizon Videos 1491

When I was a child,
my dad did pest control at Disneyland in Anaheim California.
Disneyland had a massive rat problem
after clearing out 30 aches of land.
and my father solved the problem.
In the morning before the park opened,
my dad would enter Disneyland through Main Street.
If you have ever been to Disneyland,
on the left when you enter MainStreet there is a Fire Station.
Walt Disney had an apartment on the second floor.
Walt would call my father up for a drink of Scotch,
and he would ask my dad about his family.
He once asked my dad if my parents ever play music in the house.
apparently my dad said no.
Walt told my dad that he must buy a HiFi system
because children should grow up listening to music.
When I was very young we got a HiFi system.
if I remember correctly it was about 4 feet high with a big speaker.
I might be wrong about the size, I was only about 3 years old.
I grew up listening to alot of musicals.
One of the first 45s were had was “Lollipop” by the Chordettes
Every Christmas we would receive a box from “Uncle Walt”.
addressed to us kids.
Inside were about 10 lps from his Disney and Buena Vista record labels.
This went on until Uncle Walt died.
Music has always been Important to me.
And when I raised my children I instilled it in them.
I have Walt Disney and my parents to thank for that.

Yeah but he left the band when he moved from the Big Island 4 years ago.
He still plays and writes songs.
He learned how to play guitar on TH-cam, he plays very good, better than I ever could.
