To be feeling miserable, looking for a job, then ultimately finding a job and still feeling miserable as well, is the most 80's thing about this song, yet still accurate today.

I was lucky enough to see The Smiths Meat is Murder tour in the Fulton Theater in Pittsburgh, PA in early August 1985 (I was a junior in high school) Billie Bragg opened for them. It was one of the best concerts of my life after several Springsteen concerts (which are unmatched in my opinion...totally different level). Mom was great but I was totally focused on Marr....he was amazing on another level. Bragg was good as well. I would do almost anything to go back to that time...maybe just a little earlier so I could have had the chance to see Ian Curtis and Joy Division. Anyway, I framed the Smiths concert T under glass and it still hangs in my bedroom to this day.

Morrissey is blessed as an artist because he's got two sources of great material. I don't think any artist living or dead can touch Morrissey in terms of sheer writing ability.
