I remember feeling as if I was being transported to a beautiful place when I first listened to this as a young man. And it still does. Just now I’m in my 60’s. Not my 20’s. But the magic’s still the same.
Robert Smith has got to have one of the most beautiful voices in music ever
Hi I recommend a song called 'The Bond Villain' By Robert Nix
Honestly would be better if he didnt sing.

One day, I was with my girlfriend in the park here in my neighborhood, sitting under a tree listening to this song and talking about something funny that I don't remember now, but I remember I was feeling comfortable and happy to be there with her, unfortunately, I lost her to leukemia three years ago, but whenever I hear that song, I go back to the moment when I was sitting in the park with her and I feel happy and comfortable again.
Baby.. wherever you are, I know you are in a better place in peace waiting for me, someday I will be there with you.
Sorry for your loss... God bless you and her ❤

Being a British schoolboy in the 80’s you had the cream of the crop : Duran , The Cure , O.M.D , Jesus & Mary Chain , Adam & The Ants , The Smiths , Joy Division , New Order , U2 , Depeche , the greatest period in British music history

Since when a Irish band (U2 are from the Republic of Ireland) is considered British 🤔😅😅?!

This is The Cure's masterpiece.
I’m a huge Cure fan and I think this is their best song. It wraps a melancholy chorus with an optimistic beat and it works on bringing out several emotions upon listening to it.
It could be but the BEST is The Blood just for te style

Yesterday I got so old
I felt like I could die
Yesterday I got so old
It made me want to cry
Go on, go on
Just walk away
Go on, go on
Your choice is made
Go on, go on
And disappear
Go on, go on
Away from here
And I know I was wrong
When I said it was true
That it couldn't be me and be her
Inbetween without you
Without you
Yesterday I got so scared
I shivered like a child
Yesterday away from you
It froze me deep inside
Come back, come back
Don't walk away
Come back, come back
Come back today
Come back, come back
What can't you see?
Come back, come back
Come back to me
And I know I was wrong
When I said it was true
That it couldn't be me and be her
Inbetween without you

The Cure isn't a band it's a feeling! you can tell their sound still influences so many modern indie artists, my friend is one of them, The Cure were the sound track to our high school days, every song is a timeless classic to us, while I'm here I wanna throw my friend some love for all the good times, he's a music producer now and makes great indie tunes on his laptop, try searching Lonely Gimmick - Roll Me Over, you may be in for a surprise
- there is not other band that capture the magic like the cure does.

In 1999, I remember my mother when she was sitting in her bed reading some magazines, one day in the afternoon. I was accompanying her and this song began to play on TV. I was going through emotional pain and listening to this song reminds me that day with my mom. My mother is alive happyly and I'm always in communication with her. I'm fan of "The Cure" since I was 8 years old. Thanks, The Cure... thanks, mom for all your help!

Voilà un groupe qui a de la "gueule" ! .. 🙏
We loved the 80s as a era in general, we loved the music, movies and we loved The Cure. We went to one of their concerts, in a nose bleed seats, but still a great concert to be at, met a lot of great people and danced, danced to this amazing music every chance we got and we did it quiet a lot. We visited local new wave club every Thursday and Sunday, and we had fun doing all that. We built a lot of amazing memories and still brings back those incredible memories every time we hear the music. I just turned 57 and still enjoy it just as much as I have back then.
I got lawn seat tickets for my friend & me, but I worked at the venue for years. We'll get upgraded to much better seats. Can't wait! And Robert Smith kept the prices reasonable with minimal service fees. Only $12 for 2 $35 dollar tickets altogether. :D

I cry everyday, wishing I can go back to the 80's. I miss my friends then, my parents who have left this world and were young in the 80's and just Love and Peace that existed amongst mankind then. Not forgetting the great clothing styles then and movies. Oh i miss you 80's. :(
I was introduced to the Cure by my eccentric american High School roommate in boarding school in la porte indiana. I was a shy 16 year old who just landed in from Ethiopia!!! I am forever changed!

A band that has stayed true to itself. You can neither put them in a drawer in terms of style, nor assign them to a decade. That's what I always liked about The Cure. It's time for a new album guys.

In Between Days and Just Like Heave are simply brilliant.
Love this song. I remember buying the single in 1985 when I was 15. What a great summer.

@@graytoby1 yes, indeed. It was great to be a kid in the first part of the 80's and a teen in the second part of the 80's. So many great memories of these times ...

One of the catchiest tracks of all time. Infectious. Simple but so melodic.

Such a good song. They are from my hometown :) My parents went to school with them.
We need a story time! Have you asked them how it was like to go to school with them? If im not mistake, Robert Smith met his wife at that school.

1980 you couldn't go past a record store and not pick up the latest Cure album.
I was 18 and this band transcend all genre, even though I was in to SKA and punk the Cure took you to another place.
My older sister would play this on friday and saturday nights in late summer/fall of 1985 (along with some Bowie and Iggy Pop) while getting ready to go out with her friends. I was too young to go anywhere, but by October I moved with our parents to the far east (and missing the movie premiere of Back To The Future) and she stayed at home in Europe. Even though we didn't always get along, I always loved this song and I always have. Those were truly GREAT times.

Seems like it was yesterday when I was 17 and first heard this song in 1986. Still love it just as much, if not more. Same for all Cure songs. Soundtrack of my late teens/early 20s

I lived in France in 1986, they had their own MTV called "tv six". They played The Cure constantly and got me hooked. Before that, all I heard was "boys don't cry". Some of their newer stuff ," cut here" or " end of the world" rates just as high the 80s stuff
