@@opiilzoplz1513 I have not run games, but I think the processor of the The T-570 is slow, I changed her processor with I7-8550U (of Thinkpad T-580) this one is faster !
Probably not super long if you're buying used/refurbished. If they are in good condition, I could see it lasting a few hours on dual battery setup. Always good to manage expectations. 1080p editing isn't too exhausting on a system like this I would imagine.
I have had one of these laptops for about a week now and i love it. It does not have the fingerprint scanner, but ive just realised it has a touchscreen! Would you recommend a pen/stylus i should use with this particular laptop? Tha ks
This is a really affordable quality laptop that is straightforward to upgrade and refurbish - durable and cheap to repair. There are piles of them around, as they were bought by the lorry load by corporations as standard kit. I use this as my presentation laptop as it is reliable, connects without issues, and gets the job done. If you fit an internal battery, you can get 6-7 hours before needing a recharge, allowing work on trains and in coffee shops before meetings. It charges from the supplied adaptor or from a USB-C source. Great for casual, hassle-free gaming.
Well, if you need a 15.6" display panel instead of a 14" go for the T570. If you like having a numpad on the keyboard, the T570 will have this. If you like a little more portability in size, T470. Otherwise they are the same. Both will have the same HDD/SDD or m.2 NVMe caddy that connects to the motherboard and both have 2 x DIMM slots for RAM.
I use neither of those, but based on the system requirements, yes. I would get at least 16GB RAM and a good SSD. The dual core CPU might affect performance, so if you can manage something like a T480, T580, or T480s you get the advantage of a quad core i5/i7 CPU.
I want to buy the Thinkpad for programming. Do you think that this is a good option for building web applications and smartphone apps? I also want to install Linux on it.
There are differences. The T470 is business class. If you search either one on Google and add "psref" you will get the product specifications to compare the two

I don't know much about Figma, but if you are working with lower resolution images in Photoshop you should be ok. Rendering high resolution (ie: 4K) anything will need that power probably best handled by at least a 4 core 8 thread CPU and discrete GPU in a laptop.
