I'm interested in a sequel to this. I never understood why Anna's memories were altered or why her parents kept Elsa's powers a secret. Their daughters wouldn't have suffered AS MUCH.
"Her soul and heart was twisted by magic. Nothing could be done." Elsa slowly rose her head and met the troll's graze. There was something dead. Something...layed broken in those eyes. Something that no magic or time could heal. "It was *my* magic that killed her."
The thing that's interesting about this, to me at least, is that Frozen turned a lot of popular Disney tropes on their heads. The prince was a bad guy, true love's kiss wasn't the answer, etc. This would subvert so much, making Anna seem like this amazing, princess, perfect heroine, but then pulling this, and making her the villain, it would really show a complex character, which would most likely change the trope that all disney princesses are one dimensional. And it would show that not everything gets a happy ending, and how you cannot be sure that the villain is gone. needless to say, I love this
Indeed. This would be an interesting idea since Anna being a villain would show her pain and sorrow in her mind and allow us to see how the magic affects her mind as well as her heart.

Elsa: "I CAN"T! (Ice strikes Anna's heart. Elsa turns around to see it as it happens. Her worst nightmare has come true; she has frozen her sister's heart) Oh no, what have I done. Not again." Anna: (Starting to get up) "Not again? What do you mean 'not again'?" (eyes start to turn) Kristoff enters: "Anna, are you alright?" Anna: "Fine, I'm fine"
Imagine this alternate redemption arc: Elsa becomes extremely bitter from years of being hurt and rejected. When Anna comes and tells her she must come back, Elsa becomes increasingly angry until she attacks with her with her ice powers. Anna throws aside her cloak, falls to her knees and says "I'm not gonna fight you. Because YOU are my sister". A flashback causes Elsa to snap out of her bitterness. Elsa cries out "Oh Anna! What have I done?!" and falls to the ground sobbing, realizing the monster she has ALMOST become. Frozen could have been 100x better.
She was supposed to be, just as the Snow Queen was in the source material. Goodness knows what made Disney change their minds for something less interesting.
cian o actually Elsa was close to being the villain until the music couple wrote let it go & said it wouldn’t fit her character. If you go to the Frozen deleted scenes & songs my favorite is she’ll let go. Even if she was evil Elsa & Anna would have been sisters. I remember seeing a commercial saying “That’s no blizzard that’s my sister” meaning she was the villain & Anna wanted to stop her from being bad. If they kept her evil the movie wouldn’t been overrated & show that being redeemed is hard. It was so close to staying that way but the song let it go was made before final cuts so they had time to change everything sadly
Shamshiro I actually think that Elsa being the villain would have been less interesting because the female character with mystical powers being the villain has been played out in Disney movies. I think it was more interesting to make a character like Elsa a sympathetic character more interesting, especially more interesting than your typical Disney villain.
This is actually very well done. Nice fanfiction. Scarier and sadder than the actual movie, of course, but good. Nice job. The mysterious figure at the end...was probably Anna. Maybe Kristoff does actually get to find her and eventually save her? Remember. "Only an act of true love can thaw a frozen heart." ❤💙💜
I already have an Idea on how it starts: Two long years have passed since what has now been officially named "The great blizzard", Kristoff has been gone for almost as long and Queen Elsa is becoming something of a great ruler although she can never seem to move past what happened on the ice. One stormy night she hears someone in the castle, crying. Which is already strange considering that at this hour the entire castle is completely silent, tentatively moving throughout the halls illuminated by a single candle she arrives at the source of the crying, Anna's room left untouched since that blizzard. She slowly opened it to reveal a small figure no bigger than maybe six or seven shivering in the dead center. 'W-where am I?! I was by the l-lake, but it got so c-cold a-and dark s-so dark!' the child Spoke between shivers. 'The lake...? Hold on a moment.' Elsa muttered frantically grabbing a blanket nearby and wrapping it around the little one. 'Where's my mum and dad? Where am I, who are you?' 'I'm Queen Elsa of Arendelle, don't worry I won't hurt you.' Suddenly the child seemed almost reinvigorated by these words and began to show a pair of pale blue eyes and an all to familiar complexion in the moonlight and began to speak in a familiar yet sinister tone. 'Your majesty, please. We both know that's *A SOAKING WET PILE OF LIES.'* 'Excuse me...?' Elsa begins to question as an icy wind begins to blow around them tearing apart the room to reveal a massive blizzard encircling the two of them the child now resembling Anna entirely began screaming like some mad banshee. *'YOU DID THIS TO ME! YOU DAMNED ME TO THIS! NOW SUFFER AS I HAVE!'* Suddenly Elsa awakens in a cold sweat. before long she hears word that Kristoff has returned with news, apparently he might have found something leading to Anna.
22:17-Missed opportunity here Elsa glances over, seeing a picture of her and Anna from years ago. She touches it tenderly. "Do you want to build a snowman?"
That would be interesting, just maybe tweak a few things in his character so he doesn’t kill hundreds of people and then blame it on Bucky who’s just trying to live his life lol
Here was an anna that said to hans Anna spoken in the deep dark echo voice: well well well look what you turn me to hans i hope you're proud Hans backing away in fear: i didn't know this would happened
It would have made no sense. Anna literally sacrificed herself to save Elsa, only (in this alternate story) to turn on everyone she loves. That would have ruined the story. I'm glad Disney didn't go that route.
David Ray not really, because Anna didn’t sacrifice herself for anyone in this version. Hans came running at her because he wanted to prevent Anna from being saved. Also Anna is not attacking everyone she loves, it’s something else. And I’m pretty sure in the next version Elsa will save Anna by love or something like that. So overall this version could still have the same lesson that the original did.
.... I found one for Frozen with a prompt of Anna and Elsa never meeting but I didn't get it so I'm not sure about the Twisted Tales version of the story.
@@yasmeenzulaikhakhairudinaf2694 i wasn't really talking about the "anna is the villain" thing, but the "different take of this classic tale" thing. (Though now that i think about it, anna being the villain could be another book around that universe!)
Elsa: Anna, what do you knew about true love? Anna: well, more that you! all you know is how to shut people out! Elsa's mind: HOW DARE YOU INSULT DA QUEEN> BOW TO MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
I'm so irrited when the movie's makers and mostle Anna's fanatics named she's the "true" heroine by the fan than Elsa who's better than Anna. Before i liked Anna even Elsa is my favourite between both but since i've see the 2th movie,Anna gets on my nerves: Anna loses her temper, says nonsense like Olaf (Sven and Kristoff are an underexploited duo I think), she harasses Elsa to come with her, tells her not to play with fire and to keep her away while her big sister is just trying to protect her. Anna has always been a Mary-Sue and a capricious kid: since the 1st movie where she got the tortured older sister Elsa in trouble as a child and during the coronation ball she forgot to marry Hans and angered Elsa and she provoked her powers in front of the inhabitants of Arendelle! Princess Anna, I don't like her at all anymore! (Except when she's queen at the end because Anna is pretty there. My guilty pairing after the Helsa, i love so much the Kristelsa ship. Kristoff deserved a mature and calm girlfriend like Elsa. Like this picture i've seen before the first movie is on theaters. And if Anna had listened to her sister instead of going too fast and not being blessed in the face, all this would not have happened. Just as the father is rude while the queen has nothing to do with it: she obeys her husband because she too has powers like Elsa, which was revealed in the 2nd film and they are very close . I have always preferred Elsa than Anna. Anna has always annoyed me in films, whether it was her hyperactive character, her naivety and her temperament. That doesn't make her a drinkable heroine. (I know a lot of people love this character, but Elsa touches me a lot more, that's it.) Whereas Elsa does everything to protect her.))

I personally think Olaf (yes, Olaf) would have made for a great villain. Like, during his song, he starts to realize that if the two succeed, he'd melt. But he keeps it secret, and tries to secretly sabotage their quest to end the permanent winter. But as the film goes on, he starts to care deeply for the others, leading to him being willing to sacrifice himself, making the "Some people are worth melting for..." much more powerful.
Anyone realize that if Mr. Incredible worked with Incrediboy then he could have a lot of technology. For god sakes, like a 10 year old child made rocket boots what else could he make as he gets older?
What if Syndrome escaped with Jack-Jack in The Incredibles, but the rest of the plot details in The Incredibles 2 (Winston wanting to legalize the Supers, Screenslaver, etc.) were still there in addition to that rather than being replaced?
Well she was kept in a castle for years with basically no social interaction so she probably either thought it was normal or she was so desperate for affection and love that she jumped into a relationship
I like how this is slightly more faithful to the original fairytale that the person with an ice heart will become mean and evil. Supposedly Kristoff is that interpretation of the original male protagonist of the Snow Queen but this works fine
I love the integration of more material from the inspirational fairytale...since there barely isn't any in Frozen. I also really like "How far can someone get twisted before they break?" either by environment or magic. (Or in this case both)
This was a pretty interesting and dark take on the movie, and the darker ending built from just a few small changes to the dialogue and what the magic actually does. It’s pretty ingenious, I’ll admit. Also on a side note, is it just me or did their father sound a bit snobbish?
Anna:she’s my sister she would never hurt me. Me remembering that Elsa threw out ice with points and nearly killed her then Elsa freezing Anna’s heart. Me:are you sure she wouldn’t hurt you?
I would have loved that movie. Honestly, I hated how they just wrapped everything up nicely, where Anna’s treatment is just brushed aside by everyone, including Anna. I would have loved to see Anna take that out on everyone and it being sort of justified
Heck, what about Elsa? She was literally treated like a dangerous animal for years. Why is that prejudice hardly examined? After all, doesn't our society sadly act that way toward those with disabilities or birth conditions (seizures, illnesses, deformities, etc.) sometimes?
I like seeing stories about twisted tragic fate's tbh, they go deeper than the happily ever after endings. It just gives it so much more potential to make sequels and its far more interesting. But then again its disney and it wouldn't be great for a kids movie.
Yeah, they had Hans be supper sweet and SAVE ELSA WHEN PLANNING TO KILL HER! Then act like he was concerned for Anna like the fake is love and refuse to kiss her before that there was this he fell into the water he had a happy little smirk showing that he liked her. The only way Hans is a villain is he's a really weird and good actor that does 24/7 acting or the trolls did something. I get that he did try to kill Elsa near the end but it was only near the end when he refused to kiss Anna did he act evil.
I always thought Frozen would have been a more interesting story if the end of the story was changed to become the middle: Anna gets frozen, but instead of immediately melting and everything going happily ever after, she stays frozen, and the endless winter remains. Perhaps in her sorrow and outrage, Elsa freezes everyone else in the kingdom as well, and descends into a cold, villainous reign over an isolated wasteland of snow and sentient snowmen. That way, the second half of the story could draw in some more characters and elements from the original Snow Queen story, while still making Elsa a very sympathetic and complex character. The film would then probably then end with Anna and all the rest being thawed and everyone living happily ever after, but it would be (in my opinion) a far more interesting narrative journey to get there that way.

The blame was my own; the punishment, yours The harmony's silent today But into the stillness I'll bring you a song And I will your company keep Till your tired eyes and my lullabies Have carried you softly to sleep Once did a princess who shone like the sun, Look out on her people and sigh She smiled and said, "Surely, there is no princess So lovely and so well beloved as I" So great was her gift and so brilliant her glory That long was the shadow she cast Which fell dark upon the young sister she loved And grew only darker as days and nights passed Soon did that princess take notice that others Did not give her sister her due And neither had she loved her as she deserved She watched as her sister's unhappiness grew But such is the way of the limelight, it sweetly Takes hold of the mind of its host And that foolish princess did nothing to stop The destruction of one who had needed her most Lullay sweet princess, goodnight sister mine And rest now in moonlight's embrace Bear up my lullaby, winds of the earth Through cloud, and through sky, and through space Carry the peace and the coolness of night And carry my sorrow in kind Anna, you're loved so much more than you know May troubles be far from your mind And forgive me for being so blind The years now before us Fearful and unknown I never imagined I'd face them on my own May these thousand autumns Swiftly pass, I pray I love you; I miss you All these miles away May all your dreams be sweet tonight Safe upon your bed of moonlight And know not of sadness, pain, or care And when I dream, I'll fly away and meet you there Sleep...Sleep..Sleep..
This would have been a fun idea for Once Upon A Time to incorporate into their story as a darker more mature take. That would have been the only way I could see it having been made professionally.

At the ending, that's sounded more like the hobbit, or Lotr. I really like that ending. It really gives you a sense that this dark story would continue more drastically. Disney is best known for always giving happy endings. This ending in theory would make sense. Everything should not go into happy endings. This dark ending would help mature up children. Disney isn't good for curious kids in any time in current history. Some of the observant kids would be fed on too much love, which is bad for their future, it's same effected to me.
This side of Anna... I never considered it. But it feels so right this way... it is ingenious of what you've made out of the original Frozen movie. Love it!
The funny thing is “once upon a time” had a frozen arc, was about basically the fallout of frozen spanning a couple years later then finding out that Elsa’s ice powers we’re actually hereditary, her aunt had them too and because of a tragic event involving the duke of weaseltown The aunt accidentally kills her older sister and her youngest sister traps are in an urn that younger sister is else’s mother which explains why the parents were so sure that the powers were dangerous.
@@darthestar8791 trust me the team of IT made a spoof version where georgie actually lives and takes his boat back and no joke when he leaves pennywise says "Shit!"
Well. They said that in Arandelle is still winter-like at the end, so Olaf didnt have to melt there... But yeah, I never tough about it. If Elsa loose the powers or die, does that kills Olaf?
Yeah *spoiler* Olaf passed away because Elsa was frozen which means maybe all her creations like that castle and that snow monster will vanish too I think.
Damn, there'd have been a reason for Hans heel turn beyond the writers requiring a twist villain. Him being evil all along in a way that nobody saw coming (bc his behaviour up until then literally doesnt make sense for someone actually evil all along) would have been the final push for the ACTUAL twist villain, and it's the main character we've been following the entire film! The whole thing makes for one helluva message about responsibility and pushing people too far. As much as I like the original theres...definitely parts of it that dont work very well towards telling the story that it seems to have all been building up to by the end of the film. Like, when you watch it youd come to the conclusion that it was all about sisterly love etc but dissecting the events leaves you realising Elsa didnt do anything to deserve that love and faith, like, at all. From childhood to young adulthood they're sisters in name only, she has no faith in Anna being able to help her even after she knows the truth she kept from her and came all that way looking to reconnect with her and save Elsa and Arendale, she tries to run from Arendale AGAIN even though using her powers to do so visibly makes the situation for her people worse and then collapses to her knees up until Anna saving HER life somehow teaches her a much-needed lesson on controlling her powers? That's the extent of her actions? In this story supposedly about sisters love conquering all? Yeah, it doesn't take much effort to realise the writers sort of...stumbled across a message to tell once they rewrote things so they could include Let It Go coming from a heroine instead of a villainess, as opposed to wrote the story to teach the lesson. This meanwhile? Takes the plot threads and unanswered pondering left in the originals wake and brought them together to all work towards one conclusion, and I LOVE this video for that!
(I apologize for the long comment here... i just had a lot to say) I gotta be honest... I think I would've liked this version a lot more. This version feels much more... "realistic", or about as real as it could get. one thing I always hated about these... disney, fantasy, etc. movies is that they try and tackle bigger issues, but... they usually fall short in how it's all concluded. I understand, it's mainly meant for kids. but kids are a lot smarter than we give them credit for. SO I feel like we should present conclusions as... more realistic than they have them. at least to some extent. Plus, sometimes a bit darker version is a lot more interesting. even the one where Elsa became the bad guy would have been better in my opinion, even if it had a typical happy ending.. For example, there's a couple reasons I like this version a lot more.. 1. it actually confronts the seclusion, solitude, loneliness that Anna was forced to endure.. in a more realistic light. more or less. Where in the original it was kinda... glossed over... at least the effects it had on her and others. There's a reason solitude - true, soul-crushing loneliness like this - is one of the worst things that can happen to a person (especially a child). It does serious and often irreversible damage to a person's psyche; possibly causing other psychological issues. even some forms of insanity. ultimately resulting in them becoming a secluded loners, even hermits, that hates the world and pushes everything away. Especially when it comes to someone, or multiple people, they care about so much.. when all they want is to be with them, and love them. yet.. they can't. either due to that person or people pushing them away, or other reasons. it truly is horrible and wrong.... 2. another reason i like this is due to... well, it mirrors a situation i currently am going through. wanting to be with someone, spend time with them, yet they push us away... even if they say they aren't, or aren't trying to. it's.... not a great thing to go through.. for anyone. Hell, speaking from experience here.. it truly is one of the worst things. and in my opinion, i'd rather deal... with almost anything else... than go through this. now or ever. humans are social animals. we NEED socialization. to interact with others. it's just a fact. And not getting it, especially during development, will lead to long-lasting consequences and damage, which.. often are irreversible..
With a sequel hook like that, I was half expecting the post-credits scene to feature Elsa finding an eyepatched Snow White lurking the castle halls at night. "I'm here to talk to you about the Princess Initiative."

Elsa: "I CAN"T! (Ice strikes Anna's heart. Elsa turns around to see it as it happens. Her worst nightmare has come true; she has frozen her sister's heart) Oh no, what have I done. Not again."
Anna: (Starting to get up) "Not again? What do you mean 'not again'?" (eyes start to turn)
Kristoff enters: "Anna, are you alright?"
Anna: "Fine, I'm fine"
When anna realized her memories were erased, this part should have been in the movie.
IT DIDNT HAPPEN THOUGH!!!!!!!!!
@@Itz_me115 ???
@@Itz_me115 yeah and anna is the best person!!!!
Yes
At the end of the movie, all her hair are normal, no white in sight. Could be because she got her memories back.
I heard something about Elsa originally being the villain.
She was supposed to be, just as the Snow Queen was in the source material. Goodness knows what made Disney change their minds for something less interesting.
In the story it's based on she kind of is. Well, the Snow Queen is, Elsa and Anna aren't actually in it, but Elsa is based on the Snow Queen.
cian o actually Elsa was close to being the villain until the music couple wrote let it go & said it wouldn’t fit her character.
Similarly why the KH3 level was a collection of icy garbage.
There was an idea, but it was scrapped.

I AGREE
Yeah me to
Same!!
EXACTLY
Me in the beginning: Oh, this could be fun!
Me at the end: What. The Hell. Can you do a sequel?
I already have an Idea on how it starts:
Two long years have passed since what has now been officially named "The great blizzard", Kristoff has been gone for almost as long and Queen Elsa is becoming something of a great ruler although she can never seem to move past what happened on the ice. NOW SUFFER AS I HAVE!'*
Suddenly Elsa awakens in a cold sweat. before long she hears word that Kristoff has returned with news, apparently he might have found something leading to Anna.
I want to see part 2! I don’t want a cliffhanger.

@@DarqueDesires Yea, making her a villain this way kind of destroys any progression made in the film.
@@LGSN96 i actually liked the idea
batboythecool me too
It would have made no sense.
This would make a real good lead to Frozen 2 to where the story would have been saving and redeeming Anna.
I would watch it 😂 that would be a good plot

Second Frozen: Elsa creates peace
Third Frozen: Elsa creates a snow-woman named Samantha

Heck, what about Elsa? She was literally treated like a dangerous animal for years. Why is that prejudice hardly examined? After all, doesn't our society sadly act that way toward those with disabilities or birth conditions (seizures, illnesses, deformities, etc.) sometimes?
I like seeing stories about twisted tragic fate's tbh, they go deeper than the happily ever after endings. It just gives it so much more potential to make sequels and its far more interesting. But then again its disney and it wouldn't be great for a kids movie.

If Disney ever wanted to explore alternate realities like DC ...
Good thinking
That would’ve become Disney’s darkest film since The Hunchback of Notre Dame. I approve!

And I will your company keep
Till your tired eyes and my lullabies
Have carried you softly to sleep

Look out on her people and sigh
She smiled and said, "Surely, there is no princess
So lovely and so well beloved as I"
So great was her gift and so brilliant her glory
That long was the shadow she cast
Which fell dark upon the young sister she loved
And grew only darker as days and nights passed
Soon did that princess take notice that others
Did not give her sister her due
And neither had she loved her as she deserved
She watched as her sister's unhappiness grew
But such is the way of the limelight, it sweetly
Takes hold of the mind of its host
And that foolish princess did nothing to stop
The destruction of one who had needed her most

And rest now in moonlight's embrace
Bear up my lullaby, winds of the earth
Through cloud, and through sky, and through space
Carry the peace and the coolness of night
And carry my sorrow in kind

May troubles be far from your mind
And forgive me for being so blind
The years now before us
Fearful and unknown
I never imagined
I'd face them on my own
May these thousand autumns
Swiftly pass, I pray
I love you; I miss you
All these miles away
May all your dreams be sweet tonight
Safe upon your bed of moonlight
And know not of sadness, pain, or care
And when I dream, I'll fly away and meet you there

Anna: "I HATE YOU!!"
Elsa: "You were my SISTER, Anna..I loved you."
Then ice start to spread out to her legs, anna screams in pain as everyone turn a way not wanting to watch the site elsa looked at anna in sorrows as more tears fell down from her face
Good job 👍
Elsa: Hello There.
Prince Hans: Queen Elsa, you are a bold one.
What a great Revenge Of The Sith reference.

anna: any moment now your Highness Believe me I know
I've sunk pretty low
But whatever I've done you deserve
Agnarr and Iduna: anna!
Anna:Quiet!
I'm the bad guy, that's fine
It's no fault of mine
And some justice at last will be served
Agnarr and Iduna: please listen to us!
Anna: Now it's time to step up
Or it's time to back down
And there's only one answer for me
And I'll stand up and fight
Cause I know that I'm right
And I'm ready, I'm ready, I'm ready
Ready as I'll ever be
Merida: Now it's time to rise up
Or it's time to stand down
And the answer is easy to see
And I swear by the sword
If you're in, get on board
Are you ready?
Jack: I'm ready
Hiccup & rapunzel: We're ready
Crowd: We're ready
Merida: Ready as I'll ever be
Kristoff: Are you quite sure we can do this?
Elsa: Together we will guarantee
Anna: I'll make them hear me
Crowd: Now it's time to redeem
Or it's time to resolve
Merida: Prove they can trust me
Crowd: And the outcome will hardly come free
Elsa: I'll save my home and family
Crowd: Now the line's in the sand
And our moment's at hand
Jack: And I'm ready
Merida: I'm ready
Elsa & Kristoff: I'm ready
Anna: Ready as I'll ever be
I don't see how Merida fits into this.

Sadly this version would have never gotten so popular. Would have been a “cool” one for the Disney dark library though.
I think this concept alone would have warranted the PG rating more than the "shoe size" joke we have in the movie.
AND it would've made it really a pg movie.
Troll: your brain doesn’t matter
Only your heart.
Yes indeed. So let's isolate the two sisters from each other.
My literal reaction: "yeah, the ancient Egyptians believed that, too"

@@lmul1441 Or live on.
What if Georgie survived pennywise's attack
@Anything. Lucy Yeah! I wanna see what that would be like! I've always wondered about it!
Or What if Bill went with Georgie and was killed by Pennywise instead of his brother.
@@darthestar8791 trust me the team of IT made a spoof version where georgie actually lives and takes his boat back and no joke when he leaves pennywise says "Shit!"

You know someone should do animatic with nothing life to lose
If Elsa lost her powers at the end of the story, that means Olaf is gone.
Well. They said that in Arandelle is still winter-like at the end, so Olaf didnt have to melt there... But yeah, I never tough about it. If Elsa loose the powers or die, does that kills Olaf?
Nice, sadly that won't happen because merchandise
@@lordrathut it happened
Yeah *spoiler* Olaf passed away because Elsa was frozen which means maybe all her creations like that castle and that snow monster will vanish too I think.
That happened in Frozen 2...... and I literally cried
24:45 Heather singing let it go made me laugh 😂
(I apologize for the long comment here... i just had a lot to say)
I gotta be honest...
Viccus if kids are smarter than we make them out to be, then they’d understand Anna’s pain with what the movie gave them
Did u actually spend all ur time writing that ?
@@idek_anymore2345 Yes i did. Hell, i coulda gone on.
When I press read mor I was like: 😳
With a sequel hook like that, I was half expecting the post-credits scene to feature Elsa finding an eyepatched Snow White lurking the castle halls at night.
"I'm here to talk to you about the Princess Initiative."
There was an idea... Cinderella knows this.
