This was a fun and unexpected twist to the movie. Hercules is one of my favorite Disney movies, and I like the darker tone you've added to it. I like how Zeus's traits were more like his clash of the titans counterpart not having all of the gods being related was a nice touch. I also liked the daughter of Hades as she was just as or even more helpful than Meg.
I liked medusa he dated her in the series after that he ends up with meg peserphone is through Not his daughter but hades niece and wife Demeter wasnt hades wife she was with Zeus like leto hera metis hades Loved leuce and minthe aswell hades hat a son and daughter but mostly are only Zeus children memtioned
i really enjoyed this. Persephone made for a good Meg replacement. I definitely think you could've had Phil in there, probably as one of the ghost comedic side characters. I think maybe a minor thing I could see to have some of the Disney humor for that era would be having a few ghost characters that both Hercules and Persephone have met and are on good terms with. For that whole ghosts rally around them scene when they're all chaotic and disorganized, maybe the ghost eyes could be weird zombie colors and when Persephone turns on rally mode and have some recognition, they say something like yo, that's our good buddies. And maybe make some kind of Avengers/football style line saying like what's the play capt'n? and you mix some of the serious fight scene bit with some of the humor w/o taking too much of the overall tone away. I liked the mixing Herculues and Orpheus mechanic tying him to the underworld. Also I think he and Persephone make a great pair with a relationship that builds overtime. Glad I got to see this as a version here on fanscription. I know its unlikely to become something official, so I'm glad y'all at channel awesome got to make it in this form. Great job loved it. keep up the good work with these. I love watching these takes.
@Lionheart ...oh yeah, good point. Oops 😬 😂 I guess you could put this as one if those Disney alterations or something. Since in the original movie they made Hera Hercules' biological Mom. But thank you. That slipped my mind. I still think this is a good character and the whole custody kid aspect I think works as a new dynamic for Persphone if that's the direction they wanted to go instead of with the original mythology source material and all that.
Persephone actually reminded me a lot of Meg, so I agree there. I think had this version been the actual Disney canon and Meg didn’t exist, Susan Egan would still be a fitting voice for Persephone too. I know in the myths Persephone x Hades are the couple, and Demeter is still her mother, but I think for an AU concept like fanscription, having Hades x Demeter being a divorced couple and Persephone as their daughter, and still having her spend time in the underworld still be intact (just for a different reason, and moreso one that’s out of her control than something she volunteered for) is still an interesting spin for a hypothetical Disney movie AU for Hercules. Plus Disney already has a a much older animation of the story of Hades x Persephone.
You guys should write an Atlantis one where Milo is chosen instead of Kida. Maybe have his grandfather be a royal atlantean from a neighboring kingdom. Maybe he found a way to the surface and wanted to explore. However as the years pass, he began to loose his memory of where Atlantis was. So he gave up his immortality, got married, had a son, got a grandson and began to try to find Atlantis.
@Little Alex Horne Thank you. I figured it would work since the mother crystal only chooses hosts of royal blood. So with Milo being 1/4 atlantean and royalty at that. I figured that would explain why he was chosen by the crystal instead of Kida. Plus seeing a drawing of crystalized Milo would be so cool!
That's actually pretty good! I think Atlantis is kind of an underrated disney movie myself but maybe this premise would've worked better than what we got on screen.
That was one solid fanscription. And I think I like it more than the original. It’s much closer to Greek Mythology, love the relationship between Heracles and Persephone more than the one he had with Meg, definitely had a better build up and payoff. And it was interesting hearing about Heracles’ time in The Underworld.
I just love how cruel and straight up evil hades is just by torturing, bullying and being sadistic to Hercules, not just to punish Zeus but also just for his own self indulgence. Jiminy Cricket: YOUR HORRIBLE!!! You’re An Irredeemable Monster!
I personally think it's out of character for Hades to be PURELY evil as the majority of his motivation for being an ass was his resentment of his brother instead of just being evil for the sake of evil. That being said, seeing a more sadistic Hades would interesting. Though then I suppose he would be too similar to Scar from the Lion King as he's pretty much Hades but more evil.
LOVE this Fanscription episode. This one has very Little Mermaid vibes: with Zeus' forbidden love with a human, and Hercules wanting to see the surface world. How a Fanscription episode about "The Little Mermaid"? Like what if Eric knew all along he was saved by a mermaid?
It’s funny looking back on comments like this and remembering that we did eventually get a Little Mermaid FanScription, though what we got was much darker than we ever expected, possibly the darkest episode in the series. I’m still waiting on a sequel to that one.
This was very well done! I was wondering what direction you guys would go for this Fanscription and I was pleasantly surprised with how vastly different this version is. After that massive Batman and Robin one, it’s nice to go back to a Disney one. Good work as always!

I think this take would have been a better release than the one we have. I like the callbacks to others stories from mythology like Hercules looking back like how Orpheus did.

What a colossal improvement!! My only complaint is the loss of Meg, Phil and Pegasus, but after hearing it from start to finish, it makes total sense. Any chance on a sequel?
The similarities between Meg and Persephone are genius. I think this was well done given the time constraints. I think you are right to leave it there. See you in the next Fanscription.
Had Persephone not come, I imagine what that ending going a little something like this; Hercules is killed by Hera with the dagger, and Hades begins to take out the other Olympians. Athena looks to Ares with a knowing node, as the sister strikes Hades only for her to be killed. Ares is hit as Hades laughs. The God of War looks to his uncle and scoffs, claiming that though Hercules is dead, there is still one last Demi-god more powerful, ruthless, and deadly than any before him. Hades smirks and claims Ares is bluffing, but Ares simply says that this last son of Zeus left him and served Athena for a time, but that now it was time for Hades to face Ares’ monster. Hades, becoming tired of the chit-chatter, simply states that he can deal with some big scary monster, but at the end of the day, he’s the real deal. In his last breath, Ares looks to Hades and simply says “You don’t know what a true monster is, Hades”. With the opposing Gods dead, Hades and Hera decide their next move to renovate Olympus, but suddenly a large tremor radiates throughout the mountain. Hade’s servants arrive scared and terrified, telling the god that someone freed the Titans from Tartarus. Another quake, and Hades looks down to see the titans climbing up the mountain. On the leading head, stands a lone warrior. Chains wrapped around his arms, the red tattoo on his body being his most recognizable trait. His face, a look of sheer rage and determination. Hades froze. He had seen that face before, but he never believed him to be a son of Zeus. To undermine Ares’ words was a grave mistake, as now Hades must face the combined might of the titans, lead by none other than the infamous Ghost of Sparta… *To Telos Arhizi Torah*
Honestly a pretty fantastic story here! I love every part of this!! If Disney ever decided to make their own "What If?" series for their own films, I'd love to see this brought to life.
Fascinating alternative Hercules. Though I am a little creeped out by Hades' wife being made his daughter...but Greek mythology can be really weird at times, so this wasn't too out there. So in conclusion, this was definitely worth the watch.
@@master-of-many-fandoms2020 that is true. I wasn't knocking this alternative version. He did say before he started he wasn't going to painstakingly make every character historically accurate. I just found myself a bit creeped out by that change. Still, he made it work.
This story is amazing! I wasn’t expecting to like it since you took out Meg, Phil and Pegasus but this really did surprise me with how good it is. His succeeded where the live action Mulan movie failed, sure this still had the music from the original but I think that with or without the music it’s still an epic story. I hope you do a sequel! Also please do your magic on the live action Mulan movie! Also also a story about Ursula raising Ariel would be interesting too!
I really like this version of Hercules. Plus it shares similar elements with Terry Pratchett "Mort" story. Death taking a mortal as assistant, Death daughter having a relationship with this assistant, and both of them revolting and defying Death authority. Knowing that, listening of this version of disney movie is more "moving" and exhilarating.
I liked this a lot. If you do do a sequel, it'd be neat if you had Jason and the Argonauts be a part of it, since in the myths Hercules actually goes with them for part of the journey, and since you're already adding Poseidon into it as a major player, you could have an Odyssey situation for Hercules.
Great "What If" spin on both mythology and Disney property. It's interesting that you made Persephone Hades's daughter, knowing that they're husband and wife in the lore. I still took it as Hades training a successor. Also, the headline you show at the end: I commented, "Oh no" at the "Tik Tok influence" part. If the potential remake panders to millenials, I'll burst.
I'm always intrigued by these Disney Elseworlds fanscription videos. I just recently discovered Disney had a series of books similar to these called Twisted Tales, which reimagine classic Disney stories but adds the whole "What if" premise to them. For example, "Part of Your World" reimagines "The Little Mermaid" with the premise of what if Ursula had successfully married Eric and set about conquering the land and sea. Then there's "Straight on Till Morning" which reimagines "Peter Pan" as an older Wendy having never met Peter in her youth going to Neverland for the first time with Captain Hook. Personally, I would like to see something done with "Beauty and the Beast." I was watching the live-action remake with my girlfriend a while back and I was compelled by the character of Gaston. Mainly it was because I like a lot of Luke Evans' work. But he was always an intriguing character in both the original and the live-action remake. He was essentially what the Beast/Prince Adam once was and what he would've remained as had he not been cursed: vain, arrogant and self-centered. So I posed the question to her: What if Gaston survived but was cursed by the Enchantress to become a beast himself? She found that to be both an exciting concept and an exciting challenge. After all, how do you redeem what is considered an irredeemable character?
There's also one for Hercules called "Go The Distance" that has Meg go on a quest through The Underworld to to become a goddess so she can stay with Hercules forever but it involves her facing her past and her fear of commitment.
There's actually a very good two part fanfic with that very premise in mind. It's called "Just Rewards" by TrudiRose. The second part is called "A Man of Stature."
This What if Hercules was raised by Hades reminds of another fanscription of what if Simba raised by Scar which I loved and Hercules is one of my favorite Disney renaissance Movies Next to Mulan and Aladdin
I always had an idea of a Hercules sequel with Eris, the Goddess of Discord, as the villain. Jealous of her brothers success, she releases Kronos with an army of giants and overthrows Olympus. This forces Hercules, Megara, Phil, and Icarus and Cassandra (his friends from the series) to travel down to the Underworld to free Hades, the only god left that's powerful enough to defeat Eris.
@SR Striker Eris feels more thematic as chaos and discord personified while Thanatos and Nyx are more neutral beings as death and night. Plus this creates a sibling relationship between the hero and the villain.

Well he really isn’t a villain in the mythology but they always keep comparing to the Devil and they compare the Biblical God to Zeus which that is so wrong because Zeus is the Harvey Weinstein of the gods

Interesting. As it's a Disney, the introduction could remain in gospel. I also believe in the possibility of placing a song of the villain (which is missing in the original Disney Hercules). There are two opportunities for this, at the very beginning when he raises/attempts to kill Hercules, I have the song "What am I going to do with you?". We could go over all the kills that don't work, kind of cartoonishly. Where the conclusion would be: "If I can't destroy you physically, I'll do it mentally. Yes! You'll replace me here! Oh, Zeus would hate that! This is awesome! I am awesome!". Or when your Hades raises an army of the dead. Probably with a dance bit where he imitates Michael Jackson in Thriller.

This should be fun looks very intresting and i think no matter what Hercules will end up punching Hades in to the Pit. Either to gain control of The Underworld or because he realized The Truth about who his Father really is. Respect and keep up the epic work.
If I was James Wood, or any actor known for a children’s film, I’d use the voice as much as I can like using it to order fast food. Would be a great way to promote the film and get a laugh out of random people.
One thing could've made an interesting story is Herc maybe conflicted over his two halves. Like, the power and authority to stop everything and take over was only something available to an actual god, not a half-god Hero. Loving his mother, he's worried whether letting his human side be burned away (either through Persephone's underworld fire or perhaps by gaining some ambrosia) would sever his connection to her, but at the same time keeping that side would make him unable to rule or properly use the powers he needs to stop Zeus and Hades.
These what ifs are always AMAZING! My request: not so much a SEQUEL video per se, but how about we tackle some other myths or even the Iliad/odyssey “as told by Disney” and set in the same universe? There’s so much spin-off material here!!

I know that the original greek myths in the Disney movie and this reimagining were changed for the plot but making Persephone Hades's daughter was crazy and I did not expect that.
Less gross than her being both his niece and his wife like she is in the mythology. I mean pretty common within mythological pantheons but still pretty messed up when you think about it.

And I'm still curious as to who they'll get to play Hercules and Hades, In fact could you imagine if James Woods portrayed Hades physically for the first time? Because i can not picture him wearing all that makeup and having a blue flame for hair.
What if Charon was brought in as a secondary character. Since this already has Herc and Persephone traveling the Underworld by boat. He could've been the one to take Persephone to and from whenever she swaped parents growing fond and maybe a bit protective of her.
Wow thank you this was absolutely amazing!!! Hercules was my favorite Disney movie of all time! At 7 years old I knew half of the movie literally word by word so you can imagine how much I loved it! And this reimagination was spectacular!! THIS is the kind of work I would love Disney to do instead of ruining all the loved characters filming the same plots and stories but changing little things to serve their agenda. It's been YEARS since they done something that I could say that I like, not even love, like. And I really don't understand why, even from this video we can see talents who can make interesting movies are out there so why the hell Disney and companies a like don't go find the actual talents who would give more importance to the actual storyline and plot twists instead of weird agendas..... I really think this version would have been more interesting. Especially, with the relationship between Hercules and Persepone. With Meg, it felt pushed, shallow, and rushed. With Persephone, it felt more organic, better developed, and genuine.

3:24 I never noticed before but..... Where are you looking, Hephaestus? Way to sneak that one in, Disney. Not sure Aphrodite really minds, though. Making Hera a villain more in keeping with the original myth is a good change.
What I want for a future fanscription is based on a video I watched as well as some fan art. I want to see Meg becoming goddess of the underworld based on the video called Meg's Villian Song. In the beginning of the song, she states that she killed Hades somehow. How she kills him in your fanscription could be that you could bring in other mythologies, like maybe roman or aztec. Maybe those gods created weapons or even poison that could kill themselves and other gods. Maybe meg tricks hades by using these weapons or poison against him, thereby killing him and then torturing his soul afterward. Either that, or she could trick hades into a deal that makes him lose his powers and makes him mortal, then she kills him.
I like this a lot, but I just want to put fun fact that Persephone chose to be with Hades and another story. It's her that she actually found the back gate to the underworld
You did fantastically on this one guys! The ONLY COMPLAINT (that doesn't have to do with the warped [but addressed] mythology) is that.... *clears throat* YOU DIDNT MAKE THE FINALE MUSE SONG A THING!!! I know this is basically a fanfic reading ... but this one was begging to happen..... Yet I also understand production and such. That's just that "you guys could have kicked ultra-ass when it's genuinely great already" moment. But TL:DR - THIS KICKS ASS!
Very good video man. BTW, for future Disney else-world videos, how about these ones I thought of? Though, they would be sequels that have to be based on the books that you guys should read, which would take you guys a much longer time to make videos about them than the ones you're already making, but here they are: 1.- What if Walt Disney made an animated "Alice through the looking glass" movie? It would be released in the mid or late 50's. 2.- What if Walt Disney made a "Bambi's Children" movie? But it has to be released in the late 2000's or early 2010's, since there is no third book of the series and Disney already made Bambi 2, so this one would be the Bambi 3 movie. 3.- What if Walt Disney made an animated "The second jungle book" movie? It would be released sometime in the 70's. 4.- What if Walt Disney made an animated "The starlight barking (101 Dalmatians 2 book)" movie? But it has to be released in the late 2000's or early 2010's, since there is no third book of the series and Disney already made a 101 Dalmatians 2 movie, so this one would be the third movie.
Man you outdid yourself this time!! This was amazing, loved the journey tbrough the underworld, in an almost dante's inferno fashion! Persephone made a great romantic character for Hercules, and Zeus's whole story was dramatic and satisfaying, more than most stories with him. Really wish someone could make this, even if its not Disney.
Ok, I have to say that was AWESOME (no pun intended), I really enjoyed that story and would love to see it on screen. Also the live action will be influenced by Tik-Tok....if ever there was a scary thing said....
I think it would have been fun to keep Meg, but have her as her orgin, the Fury Megara, punisher of oath breakers. Could have Hades break a promise to Hercules, with her stepping in to help Herc. Would also be interesting to see Hercules' relationships with other gods of the underworld, or dead heroes and villains.
Not a bad what-if. This one's pretty creative and I might honestly prefer it over the original due to its more personal and complex narrative and having more godly figures involved. Though I'm still hoping out hope for that Batman Beyond fanscription, I just know the wait for it won't be without merits.
I have the feeling that this isn't actually Morpheus. He looks more like a another ruler of the underworld from another mythology, after he was beaten and banished from another "heavenly" place
I miss megara far less than I was expecting to in this story. Persephone is a great love interest in this movie. That being said, I personally would have added some extra irony to the story by having Meg be one of the people who lived on the farm that the old man killed out of jealousy. Mad sells her soul can Katie's to save her farmer boyfriend from starvation, and he runs off with some babe. She is now stuck in tartarus, presumably until Hercules saves her that. Actually Persephone was fine the way it was. I also thought it would have been better if Orpheus is the main character, so I probably don't know what I'm talking about. Just fun suggesting some things.

i really enjoyed this. Persephone made for a good Meg replacement. I definitely think you could've had Phil in there, probably as one of the ghost comedic side characters. I think maybe a minor thing I could see to have some of the Disney humor for that era would be having a few ghost characters that both Hercules and Persephone have met and are on good terms with. For that whole ghosts rally around them scene when they're all chaotic and disorganized, maybe the ghost eyes could be weird zombie colors and when Persephone turns on rally mode and have some recognition, they say something like yo, that's our good buddies. And maybe make some kind of Avengers/football style line saying like what's the play capt'n? and you mix some of the serious fight scene bit with some of the humor w/o taking too much of the overall tone away.
I liked the mixing Herculues and Orpheus mechanic tying him to the underworld. Also I think he and Persephone make a great pair with a relationship that builds overtime. Glad I got to see this as a version here on fanscription. I know its unlikely to become something official, so I'm glad y'all at channel awesome got to make it in this form.

I still think this is a good character and the whole custody kid aspect I think works as a new dynamic for Persphone if that's the direction they wanted to go instead of with the original mythology source material and all that.

Persephone actually reminded me a lot of Meg, so I agree there. I think had this version been the actual Disney canon and Meg didn’t exist, Susan Egan would still be a fitting voice for Persephone too. I know in the myths Persephone x Hades are the couple, and Demeter is still her mother, but I think for an AU concept like fanscription, having Hades x Demeter being a divorced couple and Persephone as their daughter, and still having her spend time in the underworld still be intact (just for a different reason, and moreso one that’s out of her control than something she volunteered for) is still an interesting spin for a hypothetical Disney movie AU for Hercules. Plus Disney already has a a much older animation of the story of Hades x Persephone.
You guys should write an Atlantis one where Milo is chosen instead of Kida. Maybe have his grandfather be a royal atlantean from a neighboring kingdom. Maybe he found a way to the surface and wanted to explore. However as the years pass, he began to loose his memory of where Atlantis was. So he gave up his immortality, got married, had a son, got a grandson and began to try to find Atlantis.
@Little Alex Horne Thank you. I figured it would work since the mother crystal only chooses hosts of royal blood. So with Milo being 1/4 atlantean and royalty at that. I figured that would explain why he was chosen by the crystal instead of Kida. Plus seeing a drawing of crystalized Milo would be so cool!

That was one solid fanscription. And I think I like it more than the original. It’s much closer to Greek Mythology, love the relationship between Heracles and Persephone more than the one he had with Meg, definitely had a better build up and payoff. And it was interesting hearing about Heracles’ time in The Underworld.
I just love how cruel and straight up evil hades is just by torturing, bullying and being sadistic to Hercules, not just to punish Zeus but also just for his own self indulgence.

I personally think it's out of character for Hades to be PURELY evil as the majority of his motivation for being an ass was his resentment of his brother instead of just being evil for the sake of evil.
That being said, seeing a more sadistic Hades would interesting. Though then I suppose he would be too similar to Scar from the Lion King as he's pretty much Hades but more evil.

It’s funny looking back on comments like this and remembering that we did eventually get a Little Mermaid FanScription, though what we got was much darker than we ever expected, possibly the darkest episode in the series.
I’m still waiting on a sequel to that one.

The similarities between Meg and Persephone are genius. I think this was well done given the time constraints. I think you are right to leave it there. See you in the next Fanscription.
Had Persephone not come, I imagine what that ending going a little something like this;
Hercules is killed by Hera with the dagger, and Hades begins to take out the other Olympians.
Athena looks to Ares with a knowing node, as the sister strikes Hades only for her to be killed. Ares is hit as Hades laughs.
The God of War looks to his uncle and scoffs, claiming that though Hercules is dead, there is still one last Demi-god more powerful, ruthless, and deadly than any before him.
Hades smirks and claims Ares is bluffing, but Ares simply says that this last son of Zeus left him and served Athena for a time, but that now it was time for Hades to face Ares’ monster.
Hades, becoming tired of the chit-chatter, simply states that he can deal with some big scary monster, but at the end of the day, he’s the real deal.
In his last breath, Ares looks to Hades and simply says “You don’t know what a true monster is, Hades”.
With the opposing Gods dead, Hades and Hera decide their next move to renovate Olympus, but suddenly a large tremor radiates throughout the mountain.
Hade’s servants arrive scared and terrified, telling the god that someone freed the Titans from Tartarus. Another quake, and Hades looks down to see the titans climbing up the mountain.
On the leading head, stands a lone warrior. Chains wrapped around his arms, the red tattoo on his body being his most recognizable trait. His face, a look of sheer rage and determination.
Hades froze. He had seen that face before, but he never believed him to be a son of Zeus. To undermine Ares’ words was a grave mistake, as now Hades must face the combined might of the titans, lead by none other than the infamous Ghost of Sparta…

Honestly a pretty fantastic story here! I love every part of this!! If Disney ever decided to make their own "What If?" series for their own films, I'd love to see this brought to life.
Fascinating alternative Hercules. Though I am a little creeped out by Hades' wife being made his daughter...but Greek mythology can be really weird at times, so this wasn't too out there. So in conclusion, this was definitely worth the watch.
I mean… if they stayed true the original myth, it would kinda creepy and wrong for a kids movie.

This story is amazing! I wasn’t expecting to like it since you took out Meg, Phil and Pegasus but this really did surprise me with how good it is. His succeeded where the live action Mulan movie failed, sure this still had the music from the original but I think that with or without the music it’s still an epic story. I hope you do a sequel! Also please do your magic on the live action Mulan movie! Also also a story about Ursula raising Ariel would be interesting too!
I really like this version of Hercules. Plus it shares similar elements with Terry Pratchett "Mort" story.
Death taking a mortal as assistant, Death daughter having a relationship with this assistant, and both of them revolting and defying Death authority. Knowing that, listening of this version of disney movie is more "moving" and exhilarating.
I liked this a lot. If you do do a sequel, it'd be neat if you had Jason and the Argonauts be a part of it, since in the myths Hercules actually goes with them for part of the journey, and since you're already adding Poseidon into it as a major player, you could have an Odyssey situation for Hercules.
Great "What If" spin on both mythology and Disney property. It's interesting that you made Persephone Hades's daughter, knowing that they're husband and wife in the lore. I still took it as Hades training a successor. Also, the headline you show at the end: I commented, "Oh no" at the "Tik Tok influence" part. If the potential remake panders to millenials, I'll burst.

I'm always intrigued by these Disney Elseworlds fanscription videos. I just recently discovered Disney had a series of books similar to these called Twisted Tales, which reimagine classic Disney stories but adds the whole "What if" premise to them. For example, "Part of Your World" reimagines "The Little Mermaid" with the premise of what if Ursula had successfully married Eric and set about conquering the land and sea. Then there's "Straight on Till Morning" which reimagines "Peter Pan" as an older Wendy having never met Peter in her youth going to Neverland for the first time with Captain Hook.
Personally, I would like to see something done with "Beauty and the Beast." I was watching the live-action remake with my girlfriend a while back and I was compelled by the character of Gaston. Mainly it was because I like a lot of Luke Evans' work. But he was always an intriguing character in both the original and the live-action remake. He was essentially what the Beast/Prince Adam once was and what he would've remained as had he not been cursed: vain, arrogant and self-centered. So I posed the question to her: What if Gaston survived but was cursed by the Enchantress to become a beast himself? She found that to be both an exciting concept and an exciting challenge. After all, how do you redeem what is considered an irredeemable character?
There's also one for Hercules called "Go The Distance" that has Meg go on a quest through The Underworld to to become a goddess so she can stay with Hercules forever but it involves her facing her past and her fear of commitment.
There's actually a very good two part fanfic with that very premise in mind. It's called "Just Rewards" by TrudiRose. The second part is called "A Man of Stature."

I always had an idea of a Hercules sequel with Eris, the Goddess of Discord, as the villain. Jealous of her brothers success, she releases Kronos with an army of giants and overthrows Olympus. This forces Hercules, Megara, Phil, and Icarus and Cassandra (his friends from the series) to travel down to the Underworld to free Hades, the only god left that's powerful enough to defeat Eris.
What about Thanatos or Nyx Goddess of night?
@SR Striker Eris feels more thematic as chaos and discord personified while Thanatos and Nyx are more neutral beings as death and night. Plus this creates a sibling relationship between the hero and the villain.

Interesting. As it's a Disney, the introduction could remain in gospel. I also believe in the possibility of placing a song of the villain (which is missing in the original Disney Hercules). There are two opportunities for this, at the very beginning when he raises/attempts to kill Hercules, I have the song "What am I going to do with you?". We could go over all the kills that don't work, kind of cartoonishly. Where the conclusion would be: "If I can't destroy you physically, I'll do it mentally. Yes! You'll replace me here! Oh, Zeus would hate that! This is awesome! I am awesome!".
Or when your Hades raises an army of the dead. Probably with a dance bit where he imitates Michael Jackson in Thriller.

One thing could've made an interesting story is Herc maybe conflicted over his two halves. Like, the power and authority to stop everything and take over was only something available to an actual god, not a half-god Hero. Loving his mother, he's worried whether letting his human side be burned away (either through Persephone's underworld fire or perhaps by gaining some ambrosia) would sever his connection to her, but at the same time keeping that side would make him unable to rule or properly use the powers he needs to stop Zeus and Hades.
This was the first time a fanscription caught my attention and interest and it was really fantastic well done

Wow thank you this was absolutely amazing!!! Hercules was my favorite Disney movie of all time! At 7 years old I knew half of the movie literally word by word so you can imagine how much I loved it! And this reimagination was spectacular!! THIS is the kind of work I would love Disney to do instead of ruining all the loved characters filming the same plots and stories but changing little things to serve their agenda. It's been YEARS since they done something that I could say that I like, not even love, like. And I really don't understand why, even from this video we can see talents who can make interesting movies are out there so why the hell Disney and companies a like don't go find the actual talents who would give more importance to the actual storyline and plot twists instead of weird agendas.....

I really think this version would have been more interesting. Especially, with the relationship between Hercules and Persepone. With Meg, it felt pushed, shallow, and rushed. With Persephone, it felt more organic, better developed, and genuine.

Making Hera a villain more in keeping with the original myth is a good change.
What I want for a future fanscription is based on a video I watched as well as some fan art. I want to see Meg becoming goddess of the underworld based on the video called Meg's Villian Song. In the beginning of the song, she states that she killed Hades somehow. How she kills him in your fanscription could be that you could bring in other mythologies, like maybe roman or aztec. Maybe those gods created weapons or even poison that could kill themselves and other gods. Maybe meg tricks hades by using these weapons or poison against him, thereby killing him and then torturing his soul afterward. Either that, or she could trick hades into a deal that makes him lose his powers and makes him mortal, then she kills him.
I like this a lot, but I just want to put fun fact that Persephone chose to be with Hades and another story. It's her that she actually found the back gate to the underworld

Yet I also understand production and such. That's just that "you guys could have kicked ultra-ass when it's genuinely great already" moment.

Very good video man. BTW, for future Disney else-world videos, how about these ones I thought of? Though, they would be sequels that have to be based on the books that you guys should read, which would take you guys a much longer time to make videos about them than the ones you're already making, but here they are:
1.- What if Walt Disney made an animated "Alice through the looking glass" movie? It would be released in the mid or late 50's.
2.- What if Walt Disney made a "Bambi's Children" movie? But it has to be released in the late 2000's or early 2010's, since there is no third book of the series and Disney already made Bambi 2, so this one would be the Bambi 3 movie.
3.- What if Walt Disney made an animated "The second jungle book" movie? It would be released sometime in the 70's.
4.- What if Walt Disney made an animated "The starlight barking (101 Dalmatians 2 book)" movie? But it has to be released in the late 2000's or early 2010's, since there is no third book of the series and Disney already made a 101 Dalmatians 2 movie, so this one would be the third movie.
I think I would’ve been more surprised if you made Hades an ok-ish adoptive dad. Never seen that before.

Man you outdid yourself this time!! This was amazing, loved the journey tbrough the underworld, in an almost dante's inferno fashion! Persephone made a great romantic character for Hercules, and Zeus's whole story was dramatic and satisfaying, more than most stories with him. Really wish someone could make this, even if its not Disney.
perhaps the "ariel raised by ursula" fanscritpion might come next

Seeing Persephone as Hades’ daughter really doesn’t feel right, but this is a fantastic video and what if scenario
I think it would have been fun to keep Meg, but have her as her orgin, the Fury Megara, punisher of oath breakers. Could have Hades break a promise to Hercules, with her stepping in to help Herc. Would also be interesting to see Hercules' relationships with other gods of the underworld, or dead heroes and villains.
Not a bad what-if. This one's pretty creative and I might honestly prefer it over the original due to its more personal and complex narrative and having more godly figures involved. Though I'm still hoping out hope for that Batman Beyond fanscription, I just know the wait for it won't be without merits.

Morpheus laughing at the end definitely would have set things up for a sequel.
I'd wonder how the God of dreams plots compared to Hades...
I have the feeling that this isn't actually Morpheus. He looks more like a another ruler of the underworld from another mythology, after he was beaten and banished from another "heavenly" place
They should go with Nyx the Goddess of Night
I miss megara far less than I was expecting to in this story. Persephone is a great love interest in this movie. That being said, I personally would have added some extra irony to the story by having Meg be one of the people who lived on the farm that the old man killed out of jealousy. Mad sells her soul can Katie's to save her farmer boyfriend from starvation, and he runs off with some babe. She is now stuck in tartarus, presumably until Hercules saves her that. Actually Persephone was fine the way it was. I also thought it would have been better if Orpheus is the main character, so I probably don't know what I'm talking about. Just fun suggesting some things.
