Great year from Australia - won the WTC, retained the Ashes and then won the World Cup.

What I like about Nas and Athers' talk is that they're so level headed in their assessments. Athers' take on it in particular on the whole Bairstow incident is brilliant given the full-blooded hysteria the whole of England got into. The way everyone else was going on, you'd think Carey had killed and raped everyone alive. Still it was the perfect backdrop for Broad. The man must feed off drama like a vampire, he's that good. Perfect send-off for him in the end. Doubt there's going to be anyone else quite like him in that regard.

Haha I love how you open with praise for them being level-headed and then proceed to make an utterly unlevel-headed comment. It wasn't "everyone else" or "the whole of England" who lost the plot about it. It was, as ever, contained to people who tend to get into a tizz about a whole host of ultimately unimportant points.

Yeah, great podcast. Although I wish otherwise, I would be astounded if we won a test match in India this time around. And I really hope we do not traumatize any young players in the process. But I trust Baz/Key/Stokes to protect and precocious talents. Its not as if we are replete with choices.

Funny how Hussein in particular barely touches on Australia's brilliant and deserving win over the Indians in the World Cup final. Brings it back to the English performance in the tournament ( dismal) very quickly. What's up with that? Don't want to upset their Indian ( or English) viewers? Very little praise or comment ( from Hussein especially i noticed )after Australia confirmed themselves as THE BEST ODI ( and Test side ) IN...THE...WORLD.. suck on that Hussein
