    That Nas leap was definitely just his muscle memory, professional cricketers are just built different. Able to do such things with little to no warmup is impressive.

    One thing you notice about adult crickets at any standard is how seriously they take it all. I have only coached and umpired for the last 30 years, but I could tell some stories about what goes on. It does not matter if the average age is over 50, whatever league, 1st, 2nd or 3rd team nearly all of them take it all very seriously indeed. Take my word for it no one gets to even county never mind international level without taking the game even more seriously than the Saturday club player and they take it far more seriously than it may appear. I have seen grown men cry when given out or called more than once during an over, curse their own mothers, throw their bats around, and even take our Lord's name in vain, you name it?

    • @vikashranjan177
      @vikashranjan177 ปีที่แล้ว

      Basically its 20 metres from stumps , depending on pace of pitch , in Australia it used to be 30 + and in sa and nz 25 odd..... And the question of slip adjustmnt is all angle based & each other are distance of atleast 2 arms from others bcoz they add their diving space too.... One intrsting fact is more the slip , it comes to curve more so , u can see 3rd slip comes near , its bcoz it goes fastest ball their , instead of getting more wobble & chnge in direction, they used to cut in , just like batsman cut the swing by standing up ahead

      Even Hadlee and Dev had reasonable stints in the slips.
      And not just slips but also the gully position is similar because of how fast the ball travels and the timing of your reflexes. Hadlee and Holding were magnificent in the gully.
