Hello thank you for this video. How big does the printer print? Also what is the suction for on the oven bc I have the often... do u recommend purchasing just the printer. I've seen different prices. 5.000 6.000???
There is no definitive answer. You might print more than me and vice versa. If you run your printer everyday and from 9am- 5pm vs running it once a day for an hour vs once every three days. They last enough to far exceed the cost of the inks in profits if you are selling. That’s what matters to me. You are gonna have to replace them and the price might seem expensive but relative to the money you should have made it’s cheap. Most people are gonna say the ink is expensive because they probably are not selling enough or they spent their profits outside of their business instead of using it to run and grow their business.
Hey there! I have this printer and have been using it for about 6 mos. Wondering how you are seeing the durability of the prints. Are you seeing any cracking etc?

I just went to the imprint show and saw it. It's an ok printer but I wouldn't buy it. The machine is to slow and it only has one printhead plus I don't like how the white looks on the transfer. It's true for the price point you won't find nothing cheaper but it's just way to slow. It's a entry level DTF and it's not realistic to say your going sell transfer with this machine basically the same thing he said in the video. Great review great video.
I've seen that the white ink expires in three months once open. I'm not sure how long you have had your Dtf printer, but if it's been longer than three months, have you noticed any changes?
Well, F570 is for sublimation, Prestige A3+ is for DTF. Sublimation is mostly limited to polyester and certain plastic or coated materials. DTF works with a wide variety of fabrics and maybe hard surfaces, but is less durable than sublimation.
Been looking seriously into that system. But what is the cost per transfer. I currently have the Oki 711wt system and for a 8x11 transfer (transfer paper and est. Toner cost) is around 3.00 depending on how much white is used. Plus the colors are never as vibrant after pressing. Never been truly happy with the finished product appearance.
Nice print👌Is that a dedicated dtf printer or just a converted or modified Epson L1800 printer? What are your thoughts about converted DTF printer like Epson L805 and L1800?
It’s a dedicated dtf printer. I have never looked into the L1800 or converting printers to dtf so I am not sure. I would imagine that they could share the same body and have differences in inner parts.
No. The prestige does not produce higher quality dtfs. The dtg’s transfers are better but I haven’t been able to dial in my settings to produce those high quality transfers. I’ve seen other people with the ri1000 do it but i tried and didn’t bother trying again. I could probably do it now. the issue is there is no system to make transfer production easier with the ri1000.

ew yes. those ricoh 1000 printers are no good. i owned that very printer and had lots of issues and lots of other people did as well. waste of money unless you are a big company printer 100s and 100s of shirts each month.
I met a guy that had the inline equipment, he said it’s just not worth it because of all the maintenance. So I’m looking for a desktop dtf printer I bought 20 feet of prints, idk what it is, they don’t store well over a month it’s no good
That’s interesting because my experience has been different. I’m in North Dakota right now I just left me printer and I’m pretty sure it with be fine when I get back. I went to Lake Tahoe a few weeks ago and left it sitting hit back dvd it was fine. I didn’t prepare it or did anything to it. Just left it sitting came ba k and it works just fine. So to me i have no idea what maintenance they are referring to. I literally lid t do anything to maintain it. As long as you leave the back switch on so the white ink agitation system can work you shouldn’t have a problem. I’ve stored prints for months and came back and pressed them so maybe those issues are printer specific and maybe not a dtf in general issue.
No, but i don’t mean that in a bad way. I will still be using it for my business. The order is screen print, dtg very close second, dtf, white toner ( but white toner can do hard surfaces like cups and plates) Sublimation is actually the best but you are limited to sublimating onto white items (for best results) that are made for sublimation. I’m still getting the entire powder shaker system though, i like dtf a lot.
I would like to know the difference between this printer and the white toner printer. In terms of cost per sheet, cost of the machines or bundle, time, maintenance, durability. Which one do you prefer?
White Toner Printers are a complete scam. The washability is a few washes but they will start cracking and peeling after the first wash. The media is ridiculously expensive and hard to get a good transfer every time. There a so many steps for it to fail. I run a print group and about 1500 of our members own a white toner printer. Maybe a dozen of them still use it. Comes out to $8-9 a print when you have to restock. Paper is $3 sheet. Maybe 75% of the time you’ll get a good print, then 50% of those will marry with the adhesive correctly and then 75% will transfer to the garment properly. So expect 20-30 shirts out of the 100 pack of paper. Toner cartridges will last less than 1000 pages (even the 7000 page capacity) and that’s $1300 to replace those. Fuser will burn out after 1500 pages (not 90,000). Those are $350. Just complete money pits that these companies keep selling. There’s a class action lawsuit against them. And you won’t find any bad reviews because the companies remove everything. I have personally received cease and desist letters from Ricoma, Coldesi, garment Printer Ink, and Coastal Business supplies.
I think I like this method better for making shirts as well as transfers but if you plan on making cups and plates and other hard surface printing white toner would be good. White toner is also no maintenance at all. You can leave it sit for months and come back and it will work fine, you don’t have to worry about ink drying etc. and with the hard surface paper you can put art in wood and all types of different substrates. I have white toner shirts that I’ve made and if don’t correctly they last a ton of washes. Everyone hasn’t had the Sam experience but I believe white toner still has its place. If I had to choose between the two and could only have one i would say dtf because It easier to make the transfers and has a lower price point and the feel is better on a shirt. Each method has its place in my opinion. I’m gonna make a hard surface paper white toner video soon. I’ve been meaning to. The white toner cartridges are expensive upfront but if you divide it by the amount of prints you get it’s actually less expensive than dtf ink. Plus you don’t have to worry about waste and ink drying. My shirts did not stack or peel after many washes. 8 don’t have a single white toner shirt that has cracked or peeled. Transfers are difficult to make at first but after a while it’s easy. When starting off, very difficult. Lol not gonna lie. Idk. Overall I’d say dtf still. The feel of white toner on a shirt is the real issue but dtf has a comparable feel.
@@adubbproductions thank you so much for your honest thoughts about each machine. I'll be on the lookout for those videos! Sending many blessings to you and your business!
@@adubbproductions white toner prints cost about $3 per letter sized sheet to print and DTF are $1.13 a sq ft so I’m not sure where you’re getting your numbers.
If you are going into business and you plan on printing dtfs as your main business. I would advise you to get the prestige L2 dtf printer with the oven combo. I do not recommend this one to start a full service dtf business. Click my AAPrint supply affiliate link in the description and navigate to the prestige L2. It will print at a rate you need to run a successful, profitable business.
I would love some advice. My business is picking up. Lots of orders for dark color shirts. I am doing sublimation with easysubli. I must upgrade soon. Not sure if I should go DTF route or epson sublimation for large images.
Yes. Unfortunately i worked mine until it broke and they discontinued the printer and started making better ones. I have their new model and ive been abusing it for a while now. It can take 5 times as more and produce 5 times faster than this one. Its called the prestige r2 pro. In my opinion startjng a business that should be the minimum you go for. Anything else is just too slow.
Is it true you have to print something every day or run this risk of the print heads clogging? This is only a good idea if you already have some kind of steady flow of print jobs. I made the sad mistake of buying an SG1000 to find out DTF is more the finish I'd like to have. Especially with the option to print white. I'm upset with the SG1000 purchase but that's my fault for not researching it better. This looks like something I'd rather have..but I am just starting out and I don't have business lined up in a way that I gotta print shirts everyday. At least not yet. I see that you are very pleased with the results..but this is TH-cam im sure there's another side....the maintenance.
@@adubbproductions okay! That makes sense! Thank you for the reply! Been watching for years and looking to pull the trigger on an embroidery machine in 2023🙏🏽

@@adubbproductions so out of your experience, have you used a double headed printer? I'm looking to purchase a DTF printer and want one that can have some speed with it. I looked at the one you have with the complete setup but then I saw where it took 15 minutes to print one 10x10 design and from this company he showed another (the 24" one) printing right at 3 minutes along with the DTG printer printing at the same speed.
@@adubbproductions I do a lot of label printing and want to move into t-shirts so looking at something that can take me from beginning to middle. I know if I grow larger I will definitely need one with a bigger printing capacity.
I didn’t time it but i would say the image i was printing took maybe 3-4 minutes. It Al depends on the size of the image left chest would obviously be much faster. Full chest full color is always gonna take longer.

@@claudias90 a white toner printer working correctly is the exception not the norm. Don’t waste your money.
I am new in the business. Is this a good DTF Printer to invest in? Also, what size is your heat press and the brand? Thanks in advance
Thanks!! What company do I buy the DTF Printer from?

Where can I buy one in tx bro.? An is it worth it
Does this printer only do a roller?
@@gurlwhowants2dj They don’t sell it anymore.
What is the name of the oven?
The Phoenix I believe. I would highly suggest getting the shaker oven. It turns this into a different kind of set up.
I would love some advice. My business is picking up. Lots of orders for dark color shirts. I am doing sublimation with easysubli. I must upgrade soon. Not sure if I should go DTF route or epson sublimation for large images.
If you are doing dark colors I would go DTF.
@@adubbproductions is this prestige the one you recommend?
@@adubbproductions thank you for taking the time to reply!
Thanks so much for doing these videos for us. We’re going to finally pull the trigger and order tomorrow!
@adubbproductions ordered mybprestigevA3+. Thank you for your advice and videos. Hope to keep learning from you!
Do you have an update a year later? Still working?
@adubbproductions appreciate the response ❤️
@gurlwhowants2dj no problem.
how much does it cost for a 12 x 12 full color print?
Check it out right here all my prices for what I offer. allanawade.com/collections/dtf-transfers
What sisers are you using
I am using scissors I purchased from staples stationary store.
Couldnt you just pop ink out and tape them ?
How fast does it print ?
Did a video on it. th-cam.com/video/bii_xxINlOI/w-d-xo.html
How is the feel vs screen printing?
It’s still not comparable to screen printing. It feels more like a white toner/dtg hybrid. Not as good as dtg but better softer than white toner.
@@adubbproductions okay! That makes sense! Thank you for the reply! Been watching for years and looking to pull the trigger on an embroidery machine in 2023🙏🏽
Good move. Out of all the methods it has the largest learning curve but yields the biggest rewards after you learn it. Depending on how business goes Im getting one possibly two more in 2023.
@@adubbproductions that’s awesome! I have some experience from working at Lids! 😅😂… hopefully it’s as smooth sailing as i hope
When you say not the quality of the commercial machines, are you talking about ones with double print heads and auto shakers and dryers?
I think I was referring to the quantity the machines with shakers and bakers put out.
How long did it take to print that 1 design?
I didn’t time it but i would say the image i was printing took maybe 3-4 minutes. It Al depends on the size of the image left chest would obviously be much faster. Full chest full color is always gonna take longer.
Thanks so much. I’ve been looking at this set up.
What inks do u use?
Dtf station ink that came with the machine.
Got I I just ordered the prestige ink but was just wondering if other pigment inks could be used without messing it up but I don’t even want to void the warranty
How much do you think you can sell 13x19 DTF transfers for?
I really don’t know. I need to do some research. I’ll talk about pricing on another video one I do some research.
Well, on Etsy, ppl are selling 22x20 transfers for $10……I think those ppl are shorting themselves, honestly.
@@StephanLamar81it’s called market saturation and probably just trying to sell in volume to make their money back…. People spending big bucks on equipment these days better be very careful, or truly have the business needs to justify them…otherwise, buying crap just because you THINK you’ll sell a lot is a recipe for disaster.
Calculate the price per sq inch, I guess?
@@dymegee I would charge $10 for 13x19. The film is hot peel for this printer. Hot peel = more money.
