- Filmed on June 7, 2018: First off, Happy Halloween to everyone! Second, THANK YOU SO MUCH for 20,000 subscribers!!!!! :D What a better way to celebrate is a ride on an amazing old vintage US elevator at the Mardi Gras Hotel in Las Vegas, NV. This is the second elevator in this facility, which I also featured a quick ride on the first one at the end of this video. This elevator is an AMUSEMENT PARK RIDE!!!! :D :D It levels regularly, then it literally jolts very abruptly right when the door opens! Notice when someone called it on the 2nd floor, the elevator bounced so hard (3 times) after it reached its destination. The door did not even open to where the person called, it just continued on its way down to the first floor. The motor on this one is epic than the one I rode at the end of this video, and when I rode the first one in a separate video. This is what I call a GREAT way for Halloween! :D Also a ride on both of the vintage old US elevators with the square buttons from 1971 in celebration for 20,000 subscribers. BEST WAY to make an entertainment!!!! :D :D :D Installed in 1971.

Congratulations, Jim! I know that Halloween plans may be canceled, due to a tornado in the Houston area. That happens also last year.

Hey Jim! The problem of the Mardi Gras Hotel elevator was that it had an malfunction brakes that is not replaced yet. I do not know if it is replaced or not and I moved into California. It just tells how old it is and how horrible it is.
Well lol most of the old elevators in Italian apartment blocks are like these, you even have to open and close both the inner and the outer doors manually

I'm seriously thinking the issue here is a broken relay that prevents it from leveling along with poor maintenance. I rode a 1959 Single Speed Otis in Myrtle Beach recently that is WORSE than this one!!! (I think!)
Jim, maybe the elevator’s hydraulic cylinder piston is just broken or I don’t know

The reason why you only see 1 call station on an intermediate floor, is this thing uses a nonselective, non collective controller and can only take 1 call at a time...
This thing could be Single Speed, but not sure...
I don’t think single speed is used on hydraulic elevators, only on traction.
@@JimLiElevators I was thinking the same too, but after watching this, idk....This thing doesn't level at all, just plops...Could just be a broken relay that prevents it from leveling...This place looks like a dump so poor or lack of maintenance would make sense....

i hate to say this to you but i think it's best for those elevators to get modded sometime soon
This thing probably isn’t maintained at all, I wouldn’t be surprised if it gets modded although I do hate mods. Both of the elevators and this motel are in very bad shape and showing their ages!
I've been on many elevators that acted as amusement park rides, but that one seems worse than any one I've have seen for quite some time.
