dropped my NC750x DCT today because I was not in neutral and engine running while parking. The front cowl below head lights broke 😕 Thanks for the video, gives me a hint about time and effort to replace that plastic part
So sorry to hear that mate. Have you found a spare for it? A new one was 350 pounds last time I checked but I bought one from the US for 100. It hairband to us all, but at least your ok👍🍻
Thanks for your video. Dropped a part off my Sat nav bracket which lodged behind this panel. This video helped massively in the retrieval process. Many thanks 😀
Cheers Geoff. It's a relief actully to get it on. It's surprising how these things can get you down. Acf50ed it yesterday. Didn't make a video on it (of course I did, you know me) 📹🍻
Good video. Managed to drop mine whilst washing it! Its been lowered and the centre stand hasnt and its fairly upright when parked. Gutted, but only put a small scrape on the engine plastics and it already had a small scrape on the cowl that you changed, same colour too. I removed a sticker to find another one so I suspect its been over before. Surprised how easy it was to stand up on my own too. I need some crash bars I think!
Definately Pete, I didn't realise how depressing it was it was to me say in the garage with that scratch on it. I'm so glad it's getting back to the way it was.
I’m going to remove the opposite side to do some wiring into the harness etc are the pins and screws the same lengths/ sizes if you know what I mean so if I have bolts and them plastic pins on the bench I only need to know if I put a bolt or a plastic fixing back , if that makes sense.
Useful vid for anyone wanting to take their panels off. I've got a GS and must of the fixings are 25T but like yours there's a couple of push fits and a few panels slide in and if you don't know what they are and how they work it can be a bit nerve racking trying to get them off.
@@exeterrider They're like most things mate, if you know how they're fixed to the bike it helps an enormous lot, but obviously when you're stood there never having taken the panels off yur new 16k bike it's a different story. There's subtle differences to the torx bolts too, some have shoulders others don't, the bottom side panel slides back towards the bike and the big side panel has those push fit fixings too. I don't post vids myself buy I suppose some would find one useful if they wanted to fit the popular accessories to a GS like a replacement horn dashcam and auxillary lights etc. I must have a go, it'll be very basic with no frills but ho hum
@@Bazza47 Basic and no frills, rings a bell😂😂. I didn't know they made diffrent headed torx bolts too. They will do anything to get you to pay BMW workshop direct won't they! I've been to BMW today for a look round. Stunning bikes they really are!
@@exeterrider Typical German engineering so they tighten against something solid and don't compress the plastic panel they're holding in place. I had 2 left after I took the panels off my 1st GS....I never id find out where they came from LOL. @@Bazza47 nothing wrong with the GS, I say on the f today. They said I could take it out but the wheather is not good for filming. Its a nice bike but quite top hravy I found. But under 10k is impressive.
I've just damaged my nc750x silver fairing panel. Couldn't believe the price I was quoted £278. I'm not going to pay that, absolute rip off. I'm going to vinyl wrap mine. For a grand some of £18. And I won't be buying another honda motorcycle that's for sure. My suzuki was never that expensive for panel parts or spares come to that.
Yea I was pretty pissed at the price of mine too.... Mine was 350! In the end a mate of mine found one in the US for 80 pound shipped. All bikes are going this way unfortunately. Imagine what it would cost for one of the new africa twins or alike!
It's funny: mine is of the same model, same color and same damage :) Thank you.

@@zonecompact1646 goodluck, you will feel better when it's sorted 👍🍻
I had to remove my 750X fairing today and this was very helpful. Thanks for taking the time to make this video.
My pleasure, nice to see it was useful thanks 👍🍻
Thanks for this video I just Bougt the same bike as yours with just 2000km ODO in it… learning a lot from your videos!👍👍👍
Brilliant, thanks for watching them. All the best with your bike 👏👍
Thank you so much. Although not 100% accurate, your video gave me the guidance and confidence to do the work on my NC750XDCT. Much appreciated.
No problem. Sorry about accuracy, it's hard to film and talk and all that goes with it. Thanks
This was a great help to me and gave me the confidence to remove the paneling.
👍🍻

Glad to see it's all sorted. Hopefully you can forget it ever happened now. Looks as good as new.

Don't we all! Its horriable when it happens but everybody doe's it . That must have been strange when you found the other one ha!
That bike is as good as new again 👍
I Acf50ed it yesterday and it literally is like new now for sure.
Good video ER - I am sure you feel better with a nice shiny silver panel on your bike instead of the cracked and scraped one.

Hi, there were some differences, just a matter of tapingeach screw or bolt to where it came from. Fiddly job the first time. Goodluck 👍

Yeap too right. I was seating youtube for panel removal but there wasn't alot there. BMW stuff could be complecated I would imagine!?

are there custom front fairings/lights without all the bulking plastics?
I don't think so no
Nice job, safe rides! Looks like new again!
You wait till the acf50 video👍🍻
very helpful!
Thanks 🙏
Thanks, could come in handy! Cheers
All part of the service sir. Thank you 👍🍻
How do you secure the push pin back?
You should just be able to push it back in and secure?
Can you access the ECU from behind it?
No not really. You will need to go deeper.
Where did you order the fairing from? I need to replace mine as well due to a crash. I already ordered my throttle lock from your other video!
I bought a secondhand one for 100 dollers on a US ebay site👍I was lucky!
Please how can I get all these parts pls
Only a full list for the 500 so far but here - www.chinesemotorcyclepartsonline.co.uk/manufacturers/Voge
Easiest way is not to bend it in the first place mate :)
Yea but no one told me that. I'm not a mind reader😂🍻

Honda's definitely over engineered , my Honda top box on my scooter {sh300i} emblem started peeling after 5 years 14 fixings later it was off phew .
Wow! Thats why they say they are bullet proof!
