    Coach, you should have discussed the vulnerability of the 2-3-5 attacking formation to counterattacks. Barcelona just had that problem with Celta Vigo. Iago Aspas was killing us on the counter, and got us 2-0 down. Thank God he went out and Barca was able to come back to win.

      That's a fair point and I probably should've touched on it. I really wanted to focus on the idea of beating the low block. What are you expecting from Barca's season?

      @@CoachReese they are a new and super young squad. They are growing and will get better. Sky is the limit. They are talented and deep.

    Helllo, Coach reese. You told that same mechanism will be used even opposite team uses 5-back system. Can I understand that as putting 6 attackers on 5 vertical zone fluidly?

    • @CoachReese
      @CoachReese  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello! That is an option when up against 5 defenders. Also, with the 5 players across the 5 vertical zones each player is in a 1v1 so it can be effective to use some of the other concepts with the intention of releasing a player in a 1v1. Or potentially stretch the opposition to isolate specific players with the 5 defenders

    You should take a look at the moronic escapades of Farke at Leeds, and no doubt at previous clubs. Half the teams we play at Championship level bring a low block to the table and though these practices are used we invariably end up needing a goal late in the game. Enter the Farke 316 formation where he loads up bodies in and around the penalty box of the opponent whilst giving up midfield control and resistance to counter attack . . . see Blackburn. Clueless.

      I was actually at the Hull game a few weeks ago! What are your thoughts on the potential play offs?

    Passing quickly in half spaces, creating space for teammates like tiki taka could be useful
