What is average cost of labor and materials to install carpet by SF?

Do you prefer carpet or vinyl flooring in the basement? Thanks

Carpet seems to be more popular because of the warmth and cozy factor / I personally like carpet in my basement for the same reason 😀

Provided you keep a "dry" basement, with no water intrusion, carpet is a better choice. Keep it further dry in the basement by using dehumidifiers during the more himid seasons and dont let the air become "stale" down there or mold will start to grow; warm and humid spaces are perfect breading grounds for mold, so maintain some type of ventilation, even if its just good fans moving air.

You can just nail tack strip into the concrete? Or am I missing something?

Yes, you do; if the yack board nails are sharp and aren't "blunted" on the ends, most nail in tight with a good solid smack on their heads.

We just had water proofing system put into our floor and can't use any tack strips on the outer wall. What would be a good alternative

You can use tack strips they just cannot be nailed in they have to be glued! Watch either how to install carpet over marble or how to install carpet over ceramic on my channel and that’s how it has to be done👍👍👍

Keith on a left turn landing then another left up another flight so double left
Say 28 runner to match 1st set 28 going up 2nd set is the carpet 28 wide running from 1st stair to 2nd stair
    If you understand that 😄
