Thank you. I was going to clean mine. But my system is over 15 years old. So I just bought a new one from Amazon. It was around $8. Also made me look good in front of the wife.

Great video I have virtually identical furnace and it's a great explanatory video on how to access the flame sensor. By looking at the furnace itself being a mid-efficiency furnace, it looks far simpler parts in technology-wise than the high-efficiency furnaces made today. What's your opinion? Thanks for making the video.

You are welcome, and thank YOU for reaching out to us. It’s definitely worth replacing to see if this fixes any issues your furnace is experiencing.
The simpler the design, the friendlier the repair process. 😎👍

Question sir, if the flame is not touching the sensor. Is that why it always keeps the flame to shut off? I bought a new sensor but fire is not touching the sensor so the flame stutters off. Do I need to buy another? Already tired cleaning the old one and it did not work? Any suggestions

Thanks for watching, great question. The Flame Sensor must be inside flame. Below are additional Flame Sensor videos you may find helpful.

The video links aren't scrolling above like you state. I'm using the Chrome browser. It would be best if you put the links in the description.

What if my furnace starts off blowing hot air each time but then turns to cold air?

@@DIYwithMichaelBorders our propane tank company replaced the first stage regulator out on the tank and ever since the furnace doesn't light ...is this a coincidence or is it likely they installed a faulty regulator?
Our gas water heater and non-vented wall heater are running just fine ...?
Is it possible it's the first stage or is it just coincidental timing?
The codes we are getting is
3 flashes of orange and four flashes of green ...
Then one flash of orange and four flashes green...
The ignitor never "glows" ... Is that *the most likely* or is there something else/more obvious?

Thanks for watching, have you inspected Flame Sensor to ensure it’s clean and not cracked or corroded?
It may also be that your furnace Limit Switch has become faulty.
