  • A circular walk around Veryan Bay to Portloe with stunning coastal views of Dodman Point and East Portholland, returning to Portloe for a drink in the Ship Inn. We bump into a friendly fisherman who shows us his catch including a Golden Pouting!

Brings back fond memories of walking these paths with my late wife. What I would give to return to those days.

Like the Rame Peninsula the Roseland is one of Cornwall's overlooked and hidden gems to a degree.Along with West Penwith it's my favourite part of Cornwall.Great film, very enjoyable. That was a well earned pint!

We wanted to stay for a meal; they have a fantastic menu but we had a family BBQ that evening. Our walk book include walks around the Ram Peninsula so I am sure we will get up that way soon - any pubs you could recommend?

The Halfway house at Polbathic - St.John inn at St.John - The Wilcove inn at Wilcove - The View at Tregonhawke - The Inn off the shore at Downderry - The Devonport at Kingsand - The Finnygook at Crafthole - The Edgcumbe arms at Cremyll to name but a few... Walk wise, have a wander through the fishing villages of Kingsand/Cawsand and through Penlee woods onto Penlee grotto then follow the Cornwall coastal path up to Rame head and St.Michael's chapel then around to Polhawn cove. You won't be able to do this if you visit all of the aforementioned pubs!

Oh very funny - just a sort of stumble around the coastal path! I think that gives us a few ideas.... Thank you very much! :)

Wow, absolutely amazing scenery. For us, that is what the Cornish coast is all about. The tough climbs are more than rewarded by the views available at the tops of the cliffs. Portloe is so cute, and those little lanes are idyllic; we walked many similar ones back in September - we can't wait to be back! Fantastic video again, loved it!

I think we were really lucky with the weather that day and even I enjoyed re-watching it to remind me of the summer's golden sunshine! We are looking forward to planning our Christmas video but we can't decide where to go!

We really enjoyed last year's Mousehole to Lamorna. How about Looe area? We expect there is much activity around the harbour at Christmas and it is such a lovely little town with the narrow streets, and you are always within a stone's throw of the harbour or river. We'll undoubtedly enjoy the video wherever you take us!

We considered Looe and found some lovely walks but have not investigated their lights. We noticed collection boxes at Polperro when we visited and also Mevagissey. Cothele do a gorgeous garland in their hall every year; they grow the flowers in the garden, dry them and work them into a fantastic display, also Coverack have lights and Padstow have a fantastic 3 day Christmas Market. And of course Truro have a light parade, usually based on a theme - We are spoilt for choice! It's so exciting! :)

Just seeing that bus reminds me of the narrow lanes of Guernsey.

Still discovering more of these CWT gems!...I feel like I've been delving into a sparkling treasure chest over the last few months - a real joy 😊. It is such an incredibly scenic and pretty walk, especially the descent vista into Portloe. That drink at the Ship Inn was so well deserved! What a brilliant idea, and what thoughtfulness that someone leaves water bottles and a bowl out for thirsty doggies by that bench!

How wonderful! TH-cam is doing us a favour! Yes, the old boy is still here, he will be 15 later this week so he is old and frail, mostly stays at home and sleeps a lot, Sarah :)

Only in the u.k. could these walks go across people's land and farms. In the u.s. you'd have old people screaming get off my lawn or land or god knows what else. Also I love farm fresh eggs. I'm a heuvos guy.

Our rights of way are protected as highways by law and can date back to feudal times, when serfs had rights to graze stock and collect firewood on common land, etc. I think you have to get permission to re-route a path! My turn, what is heuvos? Sarah :)

Cornish Walking Trails heuvos are eggs sorry, s.d. is a 15 minute drive from Mexico so everything is in Spanish. I grew up here so I don't even notice it but it's funny when no Spanish speakers arrive and all the signs are in spanish/english.my fav breakfast is some thing called chilequilles it's basically eggs and peppers with tortilla and an amazing sauce. Ok now I'm hungry
