This older video popped up in my feed this morning. I saw Poldark, and had to click! I love to see the locations described in Graham's novels, and learn more about the characters who were real people. The flowers, birds, and animals are also a treat! I recall my surprise at seeing pheasants running along the side of the road as my cousin drove us out to Reading on our long ago visit to the UK. There is a description in Daphne Du Maurier's novel, Rebecca, of walls of blood red rhododendrons lining the drive up to Manderly. I would not be surprised if Du Maurier also walked the grounds of Caerhays Castle. :)

Thanks for the link Sarah! What a lovely walk, especially as you did it in early Spring with the daffs and baby lambs. Wonderful. Saw the pheasants last week over the castle wall! Sad that I can't do these long walks anymore, but will keep tuning in to see where you go next in my favourite part of the country!

Beautiful scenery however Caerhays Castle is pronounced Cur-ayz castle, not Car Hays Castle.

The book is lovely! The author really knows her stuff when it comes to Poldark and is a real fan - a must if you are a fan too! We will be using it again later in the year - thanks for watching!

@Coldplay Live Official Just to clarify, I was referring to the author of the walking book, Sue Kittow, not the author of Poldark, Winston Graham. Sarah
