Alternatively you can use Argent Wolf King's Blade(obtained after beating the game) and spam uncharged heavy attack. It deals a fast, heavy hitting horizontal swing which sends forward a slash of blood and has extremely high stagger buildup. You must have at least 1 ichor for the special effect to trigger, but you gain more than you spent each swing. Does not work with Impact Wave though, you can replace it with Precision gift from Berserker Blood Code which also increases stagger buildup. It's possible to "stunlock" bosses with it even without applying stun to the weapon.

I gotta say... holly molly, it can literally just keep pounding away, for days... lol. xDD
Yeah i also thought it was dumb. However it really depends. I mainly use 2h swords but i use queenslayer for that amazing Buff. I might switch bewteen Fionn and Queenslayer now though.
@@yukithird7943 But Final Journey got nerfed so it lasts only 1 minute anymore. So even more builds are worth playing now since Final Journey duration isn't worth anymore imo.

I know this is late, but I'm considering using the Burned Warhamer on the Butterfly of Derlium boss, and I'm debating on what active and passive gifts to use. I currently have the Queenslayer Bloodcode equipped, but maybe there's a better one to use?
@@Jsobone Good to know thanks. The only ones I have left to collect are the Successor blood codes from restoring their memories, and the Queen Blood code. Every other one I can think of is DLC.

I replaced Survival Instinct with Improved Regeneration and Dragon Lunge with Cleansing Light. It's ultimately really great for the longevity of the build, and turns you into the Energizer Bunny of Hammers™
I started with the Block atlas build, realized how i was still getting pawned despite the tankier build, went for dps Queenslayer and after finding an awesome looking bloodveil (hedgehog fort) i wanna go Fionn (it's found in the same level as the Fionn boss so i guess it's a great match for that class).
The Obliterator Axe (best halberd in the game) can also spam overhead attacks to fully make good use of 'Impact Wave' Gift, just gotta hold down RB and spam the X button ;)
Veinous Claw is the best Ogre type veil because is has great Light and Dark gift scaling and is extremely light originally and fortifying it doesn't affect weight greatly. Note:It's a pre order exclusive.
If your build doesn't care about any drain attack damage you're better off with Noble Silver because it gets the most out of Bridge to Glory. Also keep in mind that Venous Claw is pre-order exclusive Veil so its accessibility is very limited.

Zweihander works for continuous overhead attacks if you time them a little slower (combo reset) and you get the 100% blocks. Seems to work for me, just a little less dps.
I tried the Impact Wave does not add any significant damage for me (about 5%-10%). The stagger is nice but there is another skill that already increase you stagger power. Can you compares those two skills? Which one has more stagger potential?
@@daunjung97 I don't have the maxed exp Impact Wave right now. While fighting bosses, the AOE does not matter so I want to know if the other stagger buff has better stagger potential than Impact Wave
Just use skull king sword. The first light attack is a downward swing which you can auto chain into again by pressing movement in any direction after it lands. Once you get the hang of it you can swing near instantly and constantly. Skull king sword gets 1955 max versus the like 1700 hammers get so you get better damage off of your buffs *edit Huge hammer seems to have the best dps of the following three Wolf king sword Obliterater's axe Queen slayer's hammer
I wish I could see some bills from you guys that don't include three to four of the same gifts as all your other builds. It's not really a build at that point, it's half a build.
There's a reason certain gifts are used in multiple builds. It's because those gifts are OP. Bridge to Glory and Overdrive really are that damn good (Gift Extension is not nearly as necessary IMO, that and it's locked to Mia's alternate Blood Code which requires you to get either the deluxe version or the season pass.) And anyway, three to four gifts shared per build isn't a lot when you have 12 Gifts total. If a Gift is amazing and useful across multiple builds, you'd be stupid *not* to use it. I think what you're trying to say is you want to see more original builds, not builds that rely on the same meta Gifts for results. But they don't become meta Gifts for no reason. Why do you think Queenslayer is the best melee Blood Code? Because Final Journey kicks the shit out of everything, that's why. Have you *tried* stacking Final Journey, Bridge to Glory, Overdrive and Flashing Fang, and then landing Severing Abyss? You hit the enemy so hard you kill their extended family. So yeah, meta Gifts are meta for good reason. That said, I do wish they'd use something other than Noble Silver as their Blood Veil.

I believe the burned warhammer also has infinite light slams as well. In addition it does fire damage.

Add in Stun Mark and Debuff Buildup for further stun shenanigans. It’s a hilarious time with two people using this build.

impact wave lets you AOE stagger while the other skill doesnt

From my experience the other skill that boosts Stagger does effectively nothing, while Impact Wave works well.

Don’t worry, revenant’s ambition is a super valuable gift, and is vital for evasive builds with heavier weapons.
Queenslayer hammer and sunset both have better stats than huge hammer, just need to skip the third combo light attack
