I always thought that the ending of flashpoint made the new timeline but that Barry's contiousness didn't travel to the new timeline till that timeline arrived at a certain point, while War just showed how the JL met in his new timeline.
Yeah, I am pretty sure in the comic it is the same. If War is Justice League Year One then Barry returned to the new timeline when he left which was year 5 or so for the league.
Maybe the same thing as I was thinking. The letter scene in Flashpoint actually happened months or years after Jl War.....
In Hell To Pay, the War timeline is stated as an alternate timeline, separate from the end of Flashpoint.
So long as you're doing non-DCAU timelines, I'd love to see one for the Avengers Earth's Mightiest Heroes / Wolverine and the X-Men / Hulk Vs universe.

Woah! That ending was crazy! The twist was more shocking than finding out Bruce Wayne was Batman in the Superman animated series!
I would like to think Crisis on Two Earths and Doom are also part of the Pre Flashpoint DCAMU
the only stuff that contradicts it are the different Mirror Masters in Doom and Flashpoint, The Starro Flashbacks in COTE and Flashpoint and J'onn's absence in FP, but the sequel JL Doom already had J'onn missing so who knows what happened to J'onn.
The different Mirror Masters can be explained with the JL Doom being Sam Scudder and Flashpoint being Evan McCulloch
And the Starro flashback in COTE and Flashpoint can be explained by J'onn probably being invisible explaining why he wasn't shown in the Flashpoint scene and the COTE scene was shown in J'onn's POV as he was flying so Cyborg wasn't visible since he was at the ground.
Oh and great video as always guys, and thanks for finally clearing up that Batman and Flash thing for me. It's always bothered me how Batman talks like he's just meeting the Flash in War after that heartfealt ending to the Flashpoint Paradox.
I always saw the ending of Flashpoint as picking up right where they left off and War them going back and explaining how they got to that point to show how everything is different. The New 52 style Superman only exists if Ma and Pa are dead. It's basic cause and effect

Bro i am totally pure mcu fan. The only connection i have with Dc is Batman trilogy and wonder woman. Beside those two i don,t like any other dcmovie. And because of corona virus some phase 4 of mcu movie have delayed i have come to dc animation and i am trying to understand where to start from . At first i thought i am just going to watch dark knight returns 1 and 2 . But this video have made me want to left dc animated universe because it all looks so confusing .

I just realized that the parallel universe thing is serious and not a joke and that it's a world where the watchtower is obsessed with the DCAMU (or something like that)
But in a meta sense, it's not cause it's part of a story on the channel.
Because, The Flash created & destroyed their timeline over and over again, except there was Dr. Manhattan appears in New 52.
What could possibly goes wrong.
It's possible that the Flash hadn't met Batman before (Batman is kind of a loner) despite the fact that his sidekick was on a team with batman's sidekick and was justifiably nervous about their first meeting.

Thank you so much for this video, the timeline was a bit confusing to me because of certain characters and films, this video helped but the DCAMU needs to do better regarding this, like Harley Quinn and Amanda Waller in batman hush their story lines arent addressed from suicide squad hell to pay

Based on how JL vs TT only references Son of Batman of the Batman films and how Damian seems to be back to acting like he did before he came back in bad blood, I've always viewed it as taking place after throne of atlantis but before batman vs robin. Based on their interaction at the beginning it also seems like this may be the first time Dick has seen Kori since he left the Titans and this is what reignited their relationship that we see in BvR and Bad Blood.
It is a bit late but no. At the end of the Batman vs Robin, Damian leaves Gotham and in the following Batman: Bad Blood he comes after after learns that Batman is missing. There is no way JL vs TT can happen between the two. Also writer os the JL vs TT confirmed that Damian is 13 in the movie.

I thank this channel for coining the term DCAMU, it sounds a bit weird but it is a lot easier to remember than the full name.
Honestly, I think it was being used before we used it in our JLvsF5 speculation video, but I hadn't heard of it at all before then. I felt like I was making it up, but I believe it and DCAFU (DC Animated Film Universe) were being used interchangeably for a couple years at least. We can really thank producer James Tucker for official-izing it!

I watched the Nightwing and Robin short the other day and I was so confused. Now I understand why it exists with Throne of Atlantis. I also rewatched ToA today, and had forgot about the Scarecrow thing before that.

Despite the official ruling being that the Flash/Batman scene at the end of Flashpoint is not in the same universe, I prefer to put it in the same universe and in WAR, Flash's whole "It's an honor to meet you" etc is for GL benefit only, as though Flash and Batman up to this point have promised to keep any correspondence completely secret. It may be a stretch but it works in my head. :)
It’s very likely that that ending scene just takes place sometime after “War,” if it is in the same timeline.

I don't mean this as an insult, but a channel that exclusively covers the DCAU is a little niche. Occasionally doing extra content like this could draw in more viewers who possibly didn't know of the DCAU, giving you an opportunity to introduce it to them.

Wait, Crisis on Infinite Earths and Doom are connected? I mean, I can see some links, but considering the change of voice actors between the two (and some change in art style), I figured the latter film was closer to Flashpoint Paradox than their trip to Nega-World.
Also, how old is Beast Boy? It seems that he was in Teen Titans with both incarnations of Robin. Is he as old as Starfire and Nightwing or is he just relatively young?
And what about the first Suicide Squad film?
Beast boy is an odd one...is he supposed to be the same age as Jamie? He's definitely younger than Grayson at least, and young enough for it to be socially acceptable to hit on confirmed minor, Terra.
As for Assualt on Arkham; I'm guessing Waller introducing the team to Killer Frost would be enough to push it out of continuity, but then there are a few people who should probably be dead by the end of the movie and that's not even counting the Riddler...where is Hush supposed to be again? Lazarus pit seems unguarded so at least after Talia and Ra's are out of the picture. Apparently Bruce and Selina are old flames and Catwoman was active for a few years before Hush. Apparently Batgirl is running around in Gotham too now(whenever "now" is), but it hasn't been for long if she's not tight enough with the crew to know Selina is Catwoman and is shocked to hear they have a cover-up plan if Bruce gets seriously injured as Batman. And apparently, Batman has been active long enough to have old batsuits. Also, is Barbara Gordon supposed to be Damian age here? Dog, Damian's existence warps space time so hard that Batgirl, Wondergirl, Blue Beetle, Raven and maybe Beastboy(?) get de-aged from what their age group should be.
Pinning down when certain events in Hush take place should help pin down Hell to Pay, asssuming Waller is taking Bane to Belle Reeve for the events of the Hell to Pay sequel comic...which depicts Jason Blood being very much...not dead.

I think a lot of the pre Flashpoint /decamu can be in continuity with each other.
I can't think of any contradictions between the majority of non Elseworlds/Multiverse films (Dark Knight, Gods & Monsters, New Frontier, Gotham by Gaslight etc.)

It makes Flashpoints stakes, and later retcon mean something if all these movies are linked.
Atleast, that is my head canon.
I like your ideas and I do think the same way but there is at least one contradiction. Sinestro becomes evil in First Flight at the same time Hal becomes a Green Lantern but in Emerald Knights Hal is an experienced Green Lantern but Sinestro has not turned evil yet so they don't connect. If you accept both Wally and Barry being Flash close to each other then the rest of the movies mostly work.
I agree with you for the most part, but some things don't fit. Superman: Doomsday doesn't fit because Pa Kent is dead in that film and alive in most of the others. That said in Superman/batman: Public Enemies there's a joke about Superman having had a funeral and in Apocalypse Superman was familiar with Doomsday so a version of the film probably happened in this timeline so it can be called adjacent but not completely in continuity. Green Lantern: First Flight and Superman Unbound can similarly be considered adjacent but not completely in continuity. DC Showcase: Catwoman would fit in continuity and Batman: Dark Knight Returns Parts 1 &2 can be considered adjacent. Actually, the entire pre-Flashpoint Paradox continuity can be considered DCAU-adjacent due to a version of the events of COTE almost certainly happening between JL and JLU. I would add that Batman: Killing Joke would be part of this continuity as well as the Jason Todd dies continuity in Batman: Death in the Family.
