I just rebuilt a friends showa 47mm forks from 07 crf450x. Same issue with the inner chamber. 1 was fine the other lower seal had blown. Thanks honda for making it hard to replace the lower seal. But good as new now. ALso first set of forks I had split myself.
Sic stuff, loving the 2t content. 93 CR 250R still hanging with the 06/07 great to see both on that mint track. Content I would like to see a bit more of, bit more in depth details on how the awesome suspension guru ( wish I could take my bike there, wrong side of the ditch, bit far for. me though) came to the spring rates and valving for you and the general type of riding settings compared to your previous setup, plus if he did the Race Tech gold valves upgrades along with the new springs and if you went up spring rates front and rear or down? Cheers, top video 🤙
Adam can you make a racing series for beginners? I want to go to my first races (2/3h enduro) but to be honest, I have no idea how good your fitness has to be and how to „finish“ it. (3h is a long time on the pipe... 😅) And I would really like to see you racing! 😁👍
I have KTM but a great 08 450r modded for the bush. I was considering buying a new KTM, but this only supports my passion to rebuild my 450 and make it great.
great content as always best dirt bike channel on TH-cam can't find one as good as you. do another proteges with Riley and tom and more of the dirt kitchen thanks
I would love to see more CR500AF or any CR500 content for that matter. I'm mid build of my '06 CR500AF. Love your films, not just the content, the way they are filmed and cut. I just finished Motonomad III, it was awesome, can't wait to watch the other two.
Thank you so much for this video!!! I've been wondering why my forks feel so terrible even after swapping out the springs and fork oil. Now I know what to look at 👍
Great job! As far as content, I feel you do a great job of keeping it fresh and interesting anyway. From MX to Adventure and everthing in between you seem to cater to it all. Just something way out there. Maybe, link up with a road circuit/oval track rider and have them race/instruct you at a road circuit/oval and then you do the same for them on your awesome home track?
Compare lap times from old set up to new. Should do this for every mod you make so we can see the changes they make. Awesome vids mate. Keep em come’n. ✊
Another awesome video Adam 👌 always keeps me inspired to tinker in the shed on my old two stroke and always keeps me and the old boy in touch. Keep up the good work man
They each do different things like rebound is how fast the shock brings itself back up while compression is how firm or soft it compresses... you probobly know that, but the point is, you ride the bike and based on how it reacts overtime you start to know wether the change you want is because of the forks riding “too low in the stroke” when your cornering is an example, so the forks feel stiff because they are riding too low in the stroke, but instead of softening them, go stiffer on compression and they’d feel softer, things like that you just learn over time of adjusting what you need and how it reacts
Increasing high-speed progressive transmits more of the square-edge bumps to the bike, increasing low speed progressive transmits more of the hills and waves to the bike. For harsh undulating terrain you want less high-speed progressive compression, more low-speed, and more rebound progressive. Not enough low speed progressive compression valving will allow the shock to blow through it's stroke in an uncontrolled fashion, rendering all your nice digressive pointless. And then, yes, we start talking about the digressive damping. Best leave all this stuff to the scientists.
Awsome Adam. My cr was killing me trail riding lol. So I just bought a kwaka klx 300r any ideas on mods 4 me I weigh in at 80kg. Or you're thoughts on this green machine.
She's the video bike mate' everyone's had a go..haha Cuts to the pro's holding it wide open' awesome.. Love the vids mate keep up the good work' cheers👍
I thought the high speed and low speed compression was referring to the speed of the shock shaft during travel. I bet that bike feels so much better after the suspension work.
Great content as always adam 👌 loved the techy (but not rocket science-y) chat with mouritz, but constructive criticism if i can. the workshop detail shots are too DOF-y. i know its a way of shooting thats all over youtube these days but in reality it doesnt make your work stand apart, it just makes it harder to watch the details, as the focusing on the cameras is too slow for the shot youre capturing. it looks (maybe incorrectly? ) like you have enough light in the workshop to go down a stop or two, just to increase the DOF a little.. 👍🍻 keep up the great production tho, its really great stuff!
i want to see that cr vs modern tpi bike are they how much faster or are they slower.
OMG, the shop apprentice is what this world needs more of! A person learns by doing mate!
Best dirtbike youtuber in the world 💪
I agree
Of course we love this staff! I would say more, to get job like this and work to improve suspension on a bike - this is just a dream !
Suspension, the number one setup you can do for any type of riding. another great video ! !

I agree id be interested in that
Very nice, I have a 04 250 and have revalved it as well....with our own settings. It's amazing what some thin spring steel washers will do.
That cr is a thing of beauty.
I have KTM but a great 08 450r modded for the bush. I was considering buying a new KTM, but this only supports my passion to rebuild my 450 and make it great.

Love seeing both the old and the new crs ripping round the track 👌🏻

Love the videos, keep them coming! A collab w/ Chris Birch would be awesome if possible. I'd love to see you guys rip it together
Now that's a great idea!
I’d like to see more of how the decision is made to add more pre-load, add or subtract clicks on rebound & compression please.

Was there an improvement in lap time?

I thought the high speed and low speed compression was referring to the speed of the shock shaft during travel. I bet that bike feels so much better after the suspension work.

You should do a full rebuild and make the 250 look brand new with all new stickers as well
Awesome footage 👌 i’d love to see the cr250 against a 2007 cr125 maybe a lap comparison what handles better etc 😊
Great vid! Take the new KLX 300R for a rip? How about the new YZ 250FX?
Is great that you don’t have to have the latest and greatest to have fun 👍🇦🇺
Did you happen to do a fast lap before and after the suspension work to see how things have improved time wise?
Great content as always adam 👌 loved the techy (but not rocket science-y) chat with mouritz, but constructive criticism if i can.

Good fun🤙🤙
Can you please make a vid of Tom Booth again that kid was fun to watch🤙
Roughly How often should you do your suspension.

Laptimes before and after? ;-)
You should put some more kids motorcross videos

Good God man, that is the worst oil I've ever seen come out of some forks.
