    We LOVE the scale detail put into this. but- small but- the body pins through the hood? You could make a magnetic attached hood scoop to hide it possibly? And be able to hide the non bed with a tonneau cover I suppose. Look forward to getting one.

    I want one of these (I like the blue one) because I drive a real 1991 Silverado Stepside and I also have a real 1979 GMC Stepside. This 1982 kinda looks like both of them. I want to make my 1979 GMC Stepside look like this Axial.

    Should've used the AR 45's from the Basecamp kit. Portals don't look right on this

    Lose the body pins and make a new link that'll actually take you to the product page.

      They should’ve done what they done with the jeep hid the body pins

    For the price it should have inner fenders, hidden body pins and lights. That the industry standard now day. I don’t understand why by the are back tracking. Back to the same old scx10.2 design. The 10.3 with forward mounted motor was wayyyyyyy better.

    Why portals Axial? Why?

    • @matthewehiggins
      @matthewehiggins 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      That's a fair question. Portals are the best option on most RTRs because they give an instant increase in performance in the form of increased ground clearance. This means an RTR will work well for a beginner or an experienced driver. In contrast, standard axles make the best choice for kits. With kits, people are most often either building a scale build or a comp crawler. The kit is just their base. Standard axles often scale realism (yes, portals are scale too) and a lower CG. This means standard axles are more often the choice for scale projects and comp rigs. Not always, of course. No release will be perfect for every single customer but we want each release to cover as big of a group as possible. So, while every RTR won't have portals, it makes sense when they do. --- Matt Higgins, Axial
