- Axial® introduces another first with the 1/10 scale RBX10™ Ryft™ 4WD. This ready-to-run vehicle lets any RC driver experience the thrills of rock bouncer off-road action. Full-size rock bouncers refuse to stop - or even back down on the throttle - when facing steep climbs and massive rocks. So does the RBX10™ Ryft™ 4WD. This ground-up new Axial® vehicle handles lots of abuse and loads of power!
The RBX10™ Ryft™ 4WD’s robust, custom tube chassis is engineered from a high-strength composite plastic that withstands the hard knocks of RC off-roading - even while moving at the high speeds produced by a strong powertrain featuring a 4S-capable, 2200Kv brushless motor. Both the front and rear axles boast a rugged two-piece, solid axle design. Licensed Interco TSL Bogger tires on Raceline wheels, aided by long travel front and rear shocks, do their part to tame wild off-road tracks. These features, along with a full-time 4WD transmission, make the RBX10™ Ryft™ a fun vehicle to send over the trails at full throttle.
Exclusive Spektrum™ technologies, such as Smart telemetry and AVC® traction control, help even new RC drivers enjoy unstoppable performance from the RBX10™ Ryft™ 4WD. Its Spektrum™ DX3™ radio uses DSMR® technology for superior range, response, and interference resistance. The radio is also fully compatible with the Smart telemetry potential of the vehicle’s Spektrum™ Firma™ 130A Smart ESC. When using a Spektrum™ Smart LiPo battery, you’ll stay aware of on-board battery capacity with only a glance at the transmitter's handy voltage level indicator. When the voltage gets low, an alarm will sound.
The DX3™ radio and SR6100AT receiver also support the on-demand traction control of Spektrum™ AVC® (Active Vehicle Control®) technology - included here for the first time in an Axial® RTR vehicle. I feel like this comes pretty close to the RR10 in terms of performance, with redesigned geometry. That's probably just me though, looking forward to the kit!

Real world rock bouncers don't care about body roll or torque twist. When you fling 2 tons of steel with 600-1000ph up a jagged nearly vertical rock wall in an approximately straight line your biggest concerns are cage, axle strength, suspension, and tire grip! If I was to use this as an Ultra4 rig where turning becomes a part of the equation, then definetly add that sway bar. That is the difference between a King of the Hammer race rig (Ultra4)(Bomber) and a rock bouncer(Ryft). On both rigs I think Axial did a good job of capturing the real world applications of the 2 specific and different races.
@@bobzilla9p0 yeah but I’d want to bring it down a bit just to make it look more scale. Real ones don’t twist as much as this one does! It’s understandable on 4S lipo power though!

Had this guy come with better axle housings, better/tighter differentials, and a sway bar out of the box it would be everything this video is trying to get across to potential buyers. I love mine more than any other axial product I own. Which is almost all of them. Hopefully between axial/horizon and the aftermarket companies we can get what we paid for.

@@bigandcoolrcschool294 kits are so much fun to put together because you learn the ends and outs of the rig. I always build kits it’s a bit cheaper and it usually comes with upgraded parts versus the RTR and I always like putting my own electronics on it.

For this vehicle you can really feel the Horizon impact.
Arrma video, Spectrum electronics and so many solutions that I recognize from my Losi Rock Rey kit. Shock top caps, bump stops, disc brakes and hexes, rear axle ends and dimensions, the rims? Even the diffs and gearbox sees some similarities. How much do you guys work together with the Losi guys?

The only rc I owned is axial I have the first wraith it's built all the way up just starting to build a scx1ii with a Ford bronco body on it made it with just the way the rear bronco is two link with a panhandler link
All that I have own is axial I wish you would get back to making axial like you use to when you made scx10
Def got some torque twist but not enough that it will make uncontrollable and take away the fun of it, throw the sway bar on there and drop the ride height some and she be good to go! Can't wait for the LHS to call and say mine is in :-)

May i suggest a stretched jeep scrambler foff edition off this platform. Thank me later. I'll be happy to test it for yah. Maybe even a gladiator with a foff cage and paddles might be pretty sick too.
Look at that chassis twist. When are shafty crawlers going to start running dual counter-rotating driveshafts? That's the only way to truly eliminate chassis twist on a shafty.

It's an Axial, can it crawl? I love my some rock bouncing but occasionally you need to crawl too. Saw lots of WOT punishment, just nothing on the crawl side. Thanks!

Except... even in grandma mode, it breaks. Axle housings, link ends, trailing arms, diff gears...
And it's nearly un-drivable without a sway bar - which is an optional, extra purchase component.
Axial had a chance to really knock it out of the park on this one. It's one of the most fragile RC's out there.

is anyone else experiencing a deadzone , or delay between forward and reverse, sometimes as bad as 10 seconds before it responds.
hit reverse once, no go. hit reverse twice, no go. hit reverse again, RYFT does back flip into the weeds. Ok so it is still working ???

This should’ve been the Bomber 2.0. Looking forward to a kit version
They have different purposes. King of the Hammer race rig (Ultra4)(Bomber) turning left and right while racing a loop. And a straight line vertical drag racer rock bouncer(Ryft). On both rigs I think Axial did a good job of capturing the real world applications of the 2 specific and different races. They are both purpose built. I think the Bomber 2.0 is more versatile rig for Trail runs, rock climbing, and modified can be a rock bouncer. The Ryft has one job and look like it does it very well. It will not be a good Rock climber with all 3 of the diffs being open. And if you lock them you risk damaging the internals as there is not slipper clutch. The Ryft is a niche product while the Bomber again covers a wider market appeal. I am curious to see if the new axle design and longer trailing arms make it over to a possible Bomber 3.0 version. And yes, a kit would awesome!

Even if 90% of us replace them in the first Month - it SUCKS to have to pay these exorbitant prices these days, not having enough left for Wheels - and are stuck looking at a Chassis flopped on the Bench. 😞😖

That's what they've been doing... They released the capra a while back which is pretty competetive, and the scx10.3 which is very scale.

Less than 84 hours after receiving and less than 4 hours of drive time, took 1 tumbled in the grass and broke the front axle and rear trailing arm. I am out of the RC hobby until this shakes out.
I refuse to spend another penny for ANYTHING RC Mods, tires, batteries, and especially anything Axial until this is resolved.
Diffs out so much lol.

Whoever chose the Spektrum System for this vehicle should be FIRED, it is without debate the worst throttle control i have EVER experienced with an RC. A $40 bangood aaa battery car has better throttle control. How did this get approved ?
People realizing that lack of innovation will be what brings down traxxas nearly 50% of there lineup doesn’t offer the best in the hobby anymore

I can't believe they waited this long..🙄 been making my own for a decade now out of an scx10. After 300 for a deadbolt and 200 to beef it up with a tube chassis..why do they want 500 bones for a bunch of plastic again? Late and Lame what a Shame.
This has some much beefier solid parts than the older Axial designs and plastic is lighter. The axle shafts are larger diameter and the stub axles too (6mm!) This should be a very robust rig. I get where you are coming from as I have a home brewed 4s Hammerjaw with built all metal 2 speed trans (bomber style), all metal AR60 axles, and 1/8 scale 60kg servo. I am also building a new rig with Redcat Wendigo all metal axles (they're better built that the older AR60 Axial design IMO), and I am going to make my own cage this time. My daughter likes to do hill climbs with me and I might get this for her as quick ready to go product, as I do believe it looks like a solid rig out of the box. I am sure issues will be found and the hobbyist crowd will find solutions like every rig.
The majority of the fun is having something that has limits bro. It let's you be aware that it can break and that's where the temptation is.
