I can’t wait to see them in the commercial fleets.
I worked on the mock-up of the D-609 which is the start of this aircraft.
To fly is heavenly, to hover divine. Rotary wing aviation there is simply no substitute. I do have some friends that worked V-22's and they said they are pretty complex. With the advent of the new V-280 valor I think it really puts a new spin on tilt rotor technology. To me the fewer moving parts the better and only tilting the prop & gearbox seems to make much more sense. FLY NAVY!!!

What license do you need to fly it, helicopter or fixed wing?

Are the engines cross-linked so that if one engine fails, both shafts keep turning?

30,000,000 is jus the beginning. The per cost hour to operate could be eye opening.
Should fall between turboprop & helicopter operating costs according to targets.
Similar to the Osprey...? It gets its technology from Bell helicopter which developed the Osprey.
All tiltrotor aircraft are currently military. See them often where I live.
