Last story: The friend saying, "No one else thought of it that way." is going to be in for a rude awakening when her kid goes to school and gets picked on. Unlike adults who can lie in your face about the horrible name, kids have no filter, It'll be a shit show for sure
Yep! Teachers are notorious for pronouncing names how they are spelt, so every "day one" of row call she has during her life, all her classmates are going to hear how it is spelt and then it is all downhill from there! (Teachers will probably bash the parents and their name choice to each other!) It might not be till 2nd-3rd grade but kids are ruthless! Everyone in this lady's life knows how important this name is to her so of course nobody wants to be the bad guy except for OP! Her deflecting that it is OP who is the problem will only hurt herself and the kid!
@@starvin666 maybe because others are a yesman and just "being nice". I mean look at her taking the news. It's exhausting dealing with people like her.
@MathieuDuval true! But ya just gotta call the police, explain they're a minor and they're coming right back. That kids disappearing into thin air at 17 at midnight of her birthday 💀
You know the mom in the last story is gonna be on Reddit soon asking “why is everyone criticizing my baby’s name?” And then a future post will be “My daughter won’t speak to me anymore. What do I do?.”
Right! She is delusional! She is told her daughters name is close to an actual real word pronounced differently then they are saying it and her thoughts were to deflect and call OP a bad friend! "Your mind is in the gutter! and that speaks more about YOU then ME!" is literally what the MIL in story 2 was trying to do when it was obvious it affected her more then OP. Same here she just wants to deny her poor name choice and making it out that OP is the problem is how these emotionally stunted people work. She WILL become the MIL in the 2nd story wondering why her kids keep hanging up the phone on her!
BET and I bet OP friend going come to OP and be mad that her kid get bully and if I was OP I would be like I TOLD YOU SO and instead change it she still going blame OP and then their daughter going change her name and won't talk to her
@@visceratrocarThey charge rent on a property THEY own that THEY are still paying the mortgage on, that's normal. Not when they're free-riding on Daddy Dearest dime.
Joke aside, how are the teacher's supposed to pronounce her name? Or is she even going into a public or private school? How do the parents pronounce the name because it can't be the way OP or Rslash are pronouncing it
How much you wanna bet that the mom in the last story is only reacting this way towards op, because it's easier for her to blame op than to aknowledge that she messed up with her babies name?
@Nyanx4 The delusion is strong with this one! Reminds me of the one where the baby's name was "Karen" and OP tried to warn them but they made it out that OP was the problem till the little girl went to daycare! Sad that people like that have their heads so far up their own butts to see the OP's are just trying to help but give it a few years and she will regret not hearing OP out. Who am I kidding like the "Keren" story they will still find a way to make it OP's fault for "not trying harder" to save them from embarrassment! (Trust me honey anyone who sees the spelling of your child's name IS already judging YOU! LOL)
That time I got reincarnated as a girl named annally 💀 On a real note though, this woman cares more about the opinions of people who heard an embarrassing moment if here more than she does the future of her child being (annally) screwed by a horrid name. That’s just pathetically vapid.
Oh yeah, at this point she is definitely aware of it on some level, she’s just doubling down on it cuz she’s a pos who only cares about her own feelings. She shouldn’t be surprised when her kid changes her name and cuts contact with her mom one day for subjecting her to a childhood of hell.
Annally Story: I went right to the last story because I couldn't believe it could actually be pronounced that way... boy was I wrong. Ngl kinda wholesome how innocent the parents are to not even know it's a word. Update: Not so wholesome that they kept the name. They might not be able to notice but the other kids DEFINITELY will. Poor girl
Last story: "she was disappointed I would say that to her" SAY WHAT???? You asked OP a question and THEY ANSWERED. These people are INSANELY entitled and that poor baby is gonna suffer
@@missm2925this like I mean listening to the way it's supposed to be pronounced and also I'm on technology that uses talk speech, and even the AI text Bhatt voices are pronouncing it the way it's supposed to be pronounced and not like anything else plus it's not spelled the same way either so really you have to try to make it dirty like the like the friend basically said to op which I kind of agree with like if it's not spelled or pronounced the same way trying to make it into something it's not it's really just you reading too far into something and you need to just get your head out of the freaking gutter and maybe not make butt jokes about babies
Last story: I do not believe for one second not a single person pointed that out or has been laughing behind her back this entire time. That long speech she gave you can be summed up as, I hear where you’re coming from but I don’t like it that makes you bad so I’m just going to shame you until you feel bad about pointing out the obvious. While living in the state of denial over how name my child something inappropriate. You already know that girl gonna change her name when she’s older , just stick around and help support her when she does and her mom and dad lose their crap.
I'll believe that nobody else mentioned it, but they definitely thought it. They just kept their mouths shut, because they knew they'd get this exact reaction.
@@YourXavier Right! Clear case of "don't shoot the messenger" just because OP is the only GOOD friend to point this out and not laugh at her behind her back! Especially if this is how she reacts to getting bad news by shutting all conversation down and calling them the problem! It won't stop people from silently judging them when they see her name! Teachers and Doctors WILL read her name as such and WILL silently judge YOU for giving her that name even when you correct them! (and she is going to have to correct them a lot!)

@@SailorMyanot to mention that the op did it very politely and subtly. At some point the friend was gonna have to acknowledge it and this was probably the best wake up call they could ask for.
13:18 that poor girl. When she goes through school, you know she'll be the butt of every single joke because her name implies butt stuff. Godspeed, Annally Rheam. I hope your life won't be too ruptured.😅
Yer poor kid. Even them just putting a space between Ann Ally would save her from so much trouble. Or even Anna lee. So the kid could have a nickname of just the first bit
Okay I'm starting to get irritated seeing all these comments saying basically the same thing that the parents are bad people from either having the name or not noticing it when first of all it's not spelled the same way and it's not pronounced the same way so literally you can only find anything dirty in it if you look into it and everybody thinks he's going to be bullied in school when how many people are going to actually know the exact spelling and then also know the spelling of whatever inappropriate s*** they want to compare it to. Like seriously. If there is going to be bullying even in the middle school I think we should be more concerned about the parents of the people who know enough to bully somebody else over that , I mean cuz what life experience are they living where they know the spelling and sounds of all these words that move kids for 12 to 13 really shouldn't have any business being that familiar with. And like how many kids even know the spelling of random kids names unless they're friends and if their friends should probably won't be bullied for that. If there is going to be bullying it's probably not going to be till high School. And all the comments saying about an accidental name that is not spelled nor pronounced like a dirty word but can still be made to sound like one if you're stretching is going to cause a no contact with the parents in the future seem a bit ridiculous like who is actually going no contact with their parents over their freaking name spelling choices. I mean if a child hates their name enough to not speak to their parents about it they're perfectly capable of just getting their name legally changed then if the parents threw a hissy fit you can go no contact. But seriously it seems like all the comments are massively overreacting. Not to mention it wasn't even the name of the accident in two or anything or just thought would sound cool it's an actual name that significant a combination of parent names which happens all the time and is therefore more acceptable reason for having the name in the first place. But I understand how the parents would have missed it considering again not spelling and not pronounced the same way so you kind of have to be trying to make it into a dirty joke to come up with it like the friends did, well everybody else who doesn't have their mind in the gutter just thought it was pretty and didn't notice.
Even before the reveal that it was the grandpa’s house, I had some large suspicions that the grandpa had decent property wealth, and therefore the dad might’ve been broke. I’m happy to hear that at the end, OP is very aware of their privilege and able to move forward from this in a positive manner.
I've heard this story on several Reddit Narration channels & listened to it over and over because of the unintentional revenge & "the meek shall inherit..." message❤!!! Honest & fair winning over powerful greed😂!!! However grampa's $1500 repayment is a little short of the 3 years she paid in rent (only by $300) But why let the greedy dad get over on anything😠?!!! It really is nice to have a clearly innocent & honest OP (look how she treats her half & step siblings & even that dad) win in the end & not harbor any ill will towards people who obviously were taking advantage of her lack of knowledge of facts! (I would find it hard, not to be angry at a Close family member, taking advantage of my ignorance of the facts🖕!) I hope this OP doesn't grow a hardened crusty shell because of how she's been treated by Close family & retains her sweetness but opens her eyes to possible mistreatment❤‼️
Yes the name that's only a slight mispronouncing off from the word alien definitely is way better and definitely not going to lead to as many bullied opportunities as a name that perfectly found like a regular common name
Yeah, agreed, but Anne was ADAMANT that her name come first in the fused name, so due to how beholden the mother is to her mothers, that demand basically sealed the poor baby girl's fate. It's terrible that logic and reason won't get to these kinds of people :
Story 1: Heck, why didn't the dad approach grandpa? "Hey, OP's an adult now and with one little kid at home and a baby on the way, maybe she'd appreciate having her own place."
@@Halimat2.0 And the dad is so dumb that he didn't think that maybe OPs grandpa would find that out eventually. Like if OP moved out without the grandpa's knowledge, he would find out, be confused and ask her "Why didn't you call and tell me that you were planning on moving out? Didn't your dad tell you about the arrangement I have with all off you?"
@@Halimat2.0 That is what I was thinking the dad built a house of cards with his lies and was "in to deep" to own up to any of it so getting rid of OP was his best and only option. (can't tell people his daughter is subsidizing their lifestyle!) He hoped she would go silently into the night and he could finally move on with his new family...
You know what the parents are going to say when this poor child comes home in tears, crying "they're all teasing me because of my name!", right? "Well, if they're teasing you for that, then they're not good friends! Go make other friends!" Yeah, it doesn't work that way. These parents are going to LOSE their daughter entirely.
That kid is going to get ripped apart in Middle School. Her self esteem is going to take a pounding. . . She will probably start having to use the back door.
I'm willing to bet that in 10-15 years (assuming reddit will still be a thing by then) there will be an update with the mom upset at OP because she was actually right
3: notice how the baby herself was never mentioned? “WE were given that name” “we love the name” “that name is special to US”. She doesn't give two sites about how her stupid name decision will be literal hell for HER CHILD! YOU KNOW... the *ONE* singular person who is stuck with it?
Maybe because it freaking won't be. Pause kind of hard to take a child feeling from your account when they can't speak yet kind of like that other book story about parents who gave their kids weird names then realized they messed up and wanted to change their names and the children themselves objected just because you think your name is terrible doesn't mean the child is going to and just because you think you can make some fun stuff out of a name to bully somebody doesn't mean that the child is necessarily going to get bullied when the name is not spelled or pronounced that way Even more especially considering the fact that it has ample opportunities for good nicknames And not only that it's actually a more common name than anybody thinks, I have straight up heard the name before and it's fine actually
Last story...wow... Tried being a good friend, and since the mom couldn't handle reality, went into denial, and put frustration with herself onto her friend. Doesn't matter the excuse the mom has, school kids will be calling her that if she doesn't change the name or only go by Anna or Ally. Also, obviously other people noticed, just weren't good enough of friends to mention it.
That mom is gonna be like that other story of the mom who was angry at the teacher that everyone was calling her son “Andy” instead of “Anthony” (or something like that) because she vowed her kid would never be called the nickname or something. She wanted the teacher to somehow enforce the full name and the teacher was like “but, your son introduces himself as Andy…?”. Teachers everywhere will fear this mom’s unrealistic expectations.
Seriously! And you know “Anna-Leigh” is a pretty name, if you want to keep it at least change the spelling!!! Like add a hyphen between the 2 and change the spelling of -lly. It’s not that hard! Also job applications will be difficult because it sounds, and is spelled, like a name in a SNL skit.
Story 1: your dad didn’t give your grandpa or you an answer because it’s not gonna make things easier for him when he’s already on thin ice, that is cracking beneath him. Unfortunately, the obvious is answer. Is he got greedy and decided that he can live off his child along with his parents? If he gets you to move back in at very least he won’t have to pay so much money for your living expenses. I mean, your aunt seems to be very well objected, your grandparents don’t seem to be pushover that just gave dad whatever whenever. How he end up so damn selfish to the point he sees you as an opportunity for pocket money, doesn’t have any bills to pay.
She should also go no cantact with her grannys. She INSISTENT she came first in the name of her grand child? "Yes, child, you are my property, and so shall all your children."
if she even makes it that far in her life before ending it due to the constant bullying, to anyone wondering why I said that.....well that is just the sad reality of what the mother has done to her daughter it IS that BAD!! the mother and or father/mother should be held responsible for what IS going to happen to that poor child
Story 2: my sister actually uses Vaseline for the same thing, it was just the joke. Why is she mad that you joined in on it? And what makes her joke less dirty than yours? Specially, when it’s to the point, she can’t go one conversation without bringing it up because she thinks she’s owed and apology. Your wife for finally setting boundaries, she’s taking a good step in the right direction. Just stick by her because when someone like this finally meets resistance they’re going to guilt trip hard.
I use Aquaphor (very similar) for really dry skin. Petroleum jelly is just greasy. I’d imagine it wouldn’t be good for the activity the MIL suggested. You need something more slick.
Why do people never think of their kid when they think of a name? Even my own name was spelled with a different letter than normal, and I've spent my whole life correcting people on the spelling of just one letter. This kid is going to go by Anna, 100%
This kid's parents are going to ruin their lives naming her like that. I've grown up with several people who were named poorly and had it rough, but this is on another level. The amount of hardship they will endure because of this, and the resentment to follow.
The story about the “Anally” name pisses me off to no end If you treat your child’s name like an aesthetic and as a way to look “cool” and “unique”, then you’re not a good parent, and you’re choosing your own pride, ego, and selfishness over your child’s happiness, self-esteem and childhood Shame on that mother for even suggesting such an embarrassing name, her maturity must’ve peaked at middle school
5:44 - I am charging my 19 yo rent. What she doesn't know is that 100% is going into a Savings account for her to use when she marries or buys her own house. It will go towards any future "loans" if she finds herself in a bind. Basically secret savings that we control until we hand it to her. It's a step between fully dependent on us and fully independent adult.
I've encountered several people with similarly problematic middle eastern names. Unfortunately I can't share them here because every time I do, youtube deletes my comment. I guess I could try different spellings. One was seriously named poop-head. Only using the four letter word for poop, all one word. Another was named ladies under-garments.
Story 3: This is exactly why there are strict rules for baby name in Sweden. You have to send in papperporks to the IRS and then they have to approve the name. The name can't be offensive or result in the kid getting bullied. If the name doesn't follow the rules it will get denied and you have try again with a new name.
With so many instances of horrible names like this, I'm surprised we don't have "damaging names" listed as a reason to call cps. If the parents aren't smart or caring enough to realize the harm this can cause, they aren't suited to being parents period
I vaguely remember a situation where that happened. It was cited as a cruel and unusual situation and, therefore, required intervention. Sadly, that's all I remember off the top of my head.
The US for the most part has very little or no restrictions/laws on baby naming. Protected by free speech and all that. Many states (though not all) do have some laws but if someone had the money, time and will to fight it, they would likely win eventually. Of course in really extreme circumstances something could be done on other grounds. You may have the right to name your kid whatever you want but you do not have the right to abuse your kid so if it can be shown that the name is abusive, there might be legal means to do something about it.
Last story: Between mom being sheltered enough not to know and her comments in the final update, I wouldn't be shocked if the kid is going to be homeschooled. Which means the poor kid might make it to adulthood before learning about her name.
I had a girl in class with the name "Dawn". (Pretty uncommon in Germany, her parents were German, too) We all paused when she explained it was pronounced... "Devon". When asked she just rolled her eyes and said "My parents are dumb, don't ask." 😅😂 She was pretty chill though 👍🏻 Much respect!
Saw a post the other day about someone who had seriously named their son 'Sexy'. Some people seem to have no concept of the fact that bullies are pretty good at finding ways to twist even the most normal names, so names like this or the one in this video are like gift wrapped amunition to them as they don't have to even put a lot of creativity into how to bully someone with a name like that! Any loving parents should be happy that someone has cared enough to point out their oversight rather than get mad at the person and double down on using the name
Story three: You know that feeling when you're watching a train wreck and there is literally nothing you can do about it? This is what OP is going to feel like as Annally grows up and he watches the kid's parents fight because of how much the daughter is suffering in school
Story 3: Yeah, that kid's got a good chance of being bullied because it's not out of the question that other people will know what that means, some parent with zero filter will tell the kid, and then the kid spreads the word, and now everyone knows and bullies her for it. Children ARE cruel
Story 1 : If you get everything you want immediately, you of course develop a certain entitlement. The father grew up thinking the world exists for him only, so demanding tribute from his kids is only natural.
At least the grandad learned his lesson about spoiling people. That's why when he said that she could move in or that he would pay he had a requirement that she needed to continue to build up her life. Said she needs her needs to get a job or go to school because he doesn't want the same thing to happen to his grandchild. He's a real gem of a man.
Terrible name: and this is why I will never give any future child I have a quirky name. Bullies will bully any name but a quirky name just ensures that the child will always be bullied. Expecting parents, please consider the child's feelings when thinking of names. If it sounds ridiculous on paper, imagine how the child would feel being tormented just because of their quirky name. On another note, I hope the child changes her name when she becomes of legal age to do so. Her current name will damage her in the long run.
Oh for goodness sakes it's not even that quirky it's pronounced like a very common name and it's not even spelled like the inappropriate thing they're accusing it of being spelled like. People have to stop trying to make every single freaking thing they can inappropriate it's ruining life for everybody else
@@lahlybird895 but that's the thing, people mispronounce names all the time. When I read the name I read as like any other person would (aka read it ənal-lee (censored so yt-kun doesn't get offended)) It's also spelt the same way you would think it would be pronounced. Heck my mum has an uncommon name that looks simple to read but gets mispronounced almost all the time.
@@yabe-kfptentacultist I know that my own name is often mispronounced. The general if any name if starts with a n n a the general first assumption is going to be Anna and whatever else comes after. The only people worrying about mispronunciation are people who are going to see the name first since she can just tell people how to pronounce it otherwise, AKA adults who probably aren't going to be making inappropriate jokes at school children, or can ask. Even if it is spelled similar I just think it's a little weird for anybody to come up to that assumption first considering we're talking about a human named here. I mean I am using TalkBack speech to text and it pronounces the name as it's written the way it's supposed to be pronounced rather than any mispronunciation, and those things are terrible at pronouncing names. London to mention the word anally itself have a very weird spelling to pronunciation Factor.
In the first story it sounds like the OP's dad grew up entitled because all of his living expenses were covered by grandpa Also, I always thought that name was supposed to be "Annalee" which still sounds the same but the spelling isn't so obvious. There was a Family Guy episode where Quagmire named his daughter that
Story 3: Narcissism really ruined that baby's name. Ally-Anna would have been so CUTE! And would not sound too dissimilar to names I've actually heard before.
That poor child is in for a WORLD of bullying once she gets into school... They set her up for an awful start and I am quite sure she'll change her name once she's old enough to.
Story 3: I've begun seeing this trend with people giving their kids awful names, and it really makes you realize that they can't seem to understand that they are naming a human being. Someone that's gonna grow up one day and be an adult. Someone that's gonna go to school, someone that's going to get a driver's license and an ID. That kid is going to have the worst childhood ever. I hope her mom finally sees reason and changes the name before it's too late.
Story 3: op I would just cut out the name because no amount of logic can fix her stupidity also her "any name can like something sound bad if you try" line doesn't even make sense (unless there's some bad word that sounds like Fred I don't know of) so you knows she's just clutching at straws, just wait for the reddit post in the future that goes something like "my daughter annally wants to change her name and cut contact how do I stop her"
Urban dictionary definition of Fred: 1. A genuinely awesome and persuasive person who is so attractive, smart and cool it is sometimes intimidating for other people. His eccentric and outgoing personality can often be misunderstood as being arrogant and just plain weird though those that truly know him are insanely attracted to him. 2. An awesome person whose name has been tarnished by some douche bag on youtube who has ruined the name "Fred" for all other Freds
I feel like there should be a support group for kids who were given really unfortunate names by their parents, with how many stories we hear like this one.
The last story : the mother the father and the family have set that child up for bullying badly her whole life. My first name is Dorothy-Anne and I got teased so bad for wizard of oz jokes, and magic school bus. I literally go by my middle name bc of it. I feel so so bad for the baby it breaks my heart
I mean, there's a few other ways to spell that name so it's better? The main one I can think of is Analie? Or AnnaLynne? Annaly? Anally? Yikes, poor girl.
I thought Anna-Leigh (a few extra letters I don’t like but at least looks nothing like the original!). Adding a hyphen makes it a bit less similar. Also, to me at least, makes the pronunciation more clear.
Story 1: Holy shit, OP's dad is a POS. Grandpa must have been through hell, if he's so committed to making sure no one goes homeless/ in bad times. What a shining example of Humanity. I wish I could be that kind of man. Story 2: MIL is a psycho, and isn't even smart enough to recognize a joke. Story 3: Hwat the heck.... Her middle name is a Furnace brand, and the poor kid is going to bear that curse forever. Always breaking down, never quite properly working.
Last story: I’ve got a feeling that the friend is aware on some level that the name is going to cause her kid problems and get her bullied but she is doubling down on it to avoid accepting being wrong cuz all she cares about in this moment is her own feelings. She shouldn’t be surprised when her kid eventually cuts contact with her and changes her name once she is able to do so.
That last story... the OP had the perfect cover of 'my phone keeps autocorrecting it' and STILL the friend blames the OP for being the only one 'having a dirty mind' around the name? They are upset about it and are desperate to blame the OP for giving them the knowledge that their name is VERY close to a word that refers to either an intimate act OR a very uptight person. "I didn't even KNOW it was similar to that word until my phone autocorrected it. Don't shoot the messenger." is the only option at that point, and if they do not stop being so anal about the name it's best to stop being friends. Don't know why they HAD to be the precise names though, coulda gone for a name combo that SOUNDS the same as their spelling, but with normal names. Anne or Ann instead of Anna, and Lee, Leigh, Lea, Lia or something for the second part of her name. It'd still SOUND like both mothers' names were used that way but the spelling would be less capable of inciting bullying.
She thinks OP is a bad person for thinking about the name like that just because her family didn't think of it that way, but she's going to have a rude awakening when teachers start looking at her weird lol.
Story #3 Reminded me of a Cocomelon birthday cake that I saw a pic of for a kid named Sexy. Like WTF?!?! If you name your baby something sexual, your baby should be handed back to the nurse and possibly call CPS
Can confirm that name may cause some bullying. I had a highschool friend with a very similar name and remember hearing boys make fun of her in class and in the halls at times.
Story 3: Hopefully poor little Annally Rheam will be able to force a name change through the court the way _"Talula Does the Hula From Hawaii"_ did (yes, that whole mouthful was her name - she got it changed at age 9.) Giving children names like that should be considered child abuse and a prosecutable offense, with a huge fine proportional to your income/networth to really make being a narcissistic jerk naming their kids like that hurt. I'm not saying we should go full Denmark with picking names from a prescribed list (their list has 18,000 female and 15,000 male names, so there are definitely plenty of options) but to at least do your due diligence when coming up with something that you wouldn't name your dog, much less a human being. ...And as I'm the type of person who would name my dog Scissors (so I could say "I like to run with Scissors"), I'm saying there is a lot of leeway, but let's not give kids names that would get them bullied. Being a kid is hard enough without bad parents' naming choices to make it harder.
Oh believe me people in the sub have suggested that one too, but Anna was adamant to come first. Which is sad because Allyanna would have been a lovely less problematic name.
@@MiriamCamilla OMG, little small mind entitled syndrom. Bet someone has been brainwashed since childhood. Poor kid. Wonder if kiddo can book a place at pine forrest old folks home.
No she won't because the moment she turns 18, she's going to change her name, hitchhike to another state, hook up with a drummer and go no contact with the folks.
that poor girl in story 3 is probably going to ask the school to let her just be "anna". she MIGHT escape elementary school unscathed, but there is ZERO chance she can make it through middle school without the jokes.
Those parents in the last story need to have CPS called on them because that kid will be bullied to the point of self deletion. Stories like that are why I'm totally for name laws to prevent stuff like having the name Annally Rheam, it can be worse too if her last name is Asian like; Annally Rheam Mei.
What is it about so many people that they just seem to completely forget what being a child is like? Even normal names get mocked relentlessly. Like... I'm a Richard. We all know the mockery I got starting in 4th grade. I'm 34 & people still think it's clever or that I'm unaware. But just HANDING children a name like this to mock? That's incredibly unintelligent. I vetoed so many names before we chose 1 for my son. Half of them I didn't like the sound or etymology, but the other half she'd text me while at work & I'd just text back an easy way for it to be used to bully him. She never fought back against the latter kind of vetoes. Use your brains. Don't torture your own children like this. Edit: Middle school & high school are going to be hell. She won't use the name in college or beyond. She'll do whatever she can to prevent people from knowing that's her real name & she'll likely pronounce it Anna-lee.
Last story: I truly hope the sake of the child they at least change the spelling or add a space. It sounds like the friend pronounces it as Anna Lee... yikes that child is gonna have a terrible time in school
Story 2: Yeah, the mom needs to grow the hell up, I can see why Tara fled at the first chance. She sounds absolutely awful to be around. Especially with refusing to let things go, it's like she doesn't want to "lose"
Alianna actually sounds kinda cool op's friend's partner's narcissism really ruined the choices here. Also if op is the ah for showing you the truth, just wait till Annally comes home from school 😅
In the last story, not only are they going to bully this girl, but they're also going to think that her parents are dumber than dingleberries. Poor kid, what stupid parents.
14:16 she could have named her Lyanna or Alyanna... since it's a mashup of both names... or at least spell it Hanna-Lee or smtg. Can't believe nody stoped her during the paperwork...
The way I gasped out loud at the middle name reveal. This poor kid has zero chance to experience a non-bullied existence. 😭
Yup, wait about 5 or 6 years, OP will be back to tell how the kids took it.
Yeah, I've had to be@t up some Rheem furnaces to get them into whatever space they were going to lol

I hope her mom finally sees reason and changes the name before it's too late.
Story 3: op I would just cut out the name because no amount of logic can fix her stupidity also her "any name can like something sound bad if you try" line doesn't even make sense (unless there's some bad word that sounds like Fred I don't know of) so you knows she's just clutching at straws, just wait for the reddit post in the future that goes something like "my daughter annally wants to change her name and cut contact how do I stop her"
Urban dictionary definition of Fred:
@@codyjohnson6427 wow never even knew that thanks for showing me that.
That friend in the last story sounds absolutely exhausting
If only the dad knew that OP moving back in with him would be futile
Lol yea
Story 3: Where I live, child protective services are legally allowed to take your child away over this. Also you could be forced to pay child support.
Story 3: That kid is going to have a horrible school year.
Watch the child in the last story go no contact with her parents and changes her name on her own. I feel so bad for her.
This is why some countries require approval of baby names 🙄
Story 3: Hopefully poor little Annally Rheam will be able to force a name change through the court the way _"Talula Does the Hula From Hawaii"_ did (yes, that whole mouthful was her name - she got it changed at age 9.)
Giving children names like that should be considered child abuse and a prosecutable offense, with a huge fine proportional to your income/networth to really make being a narcissistic jerk naming their kids like that hurt.
Damn dude, it could have been Annalise, Anna-Lynn, or just Annie. These parents are wild
The Grampa is The GOAT.
The Goat 100%
Last story:
They can just switch the names to Allyann or Allyanna.
See, fixed 😂😂
Oh believe me people in the sub have suggested that one too, but Anna was adamant to come first.
Which is sad because Allyanna would have been a lovely less problematic name.
@@MiriamCamilla OMG, little small mind entitled syndrom.
Bet someone has been brainwashed since childhood.
Poor kid.
Wonder if kiddo can book a place at pine forrest old folks home.
@@MiriamCamilla”But Anna was adamant to come first”
Narcissism 101
I need my cup of Rslash in the morning ☕️
And evening😌
Last story: Not only in school, she's going to get bullied her entire life with a name like that
No she won't because the moment she turns 18, she's going to change her name, hitchhike to another state, hook up with a drummer and go no contact with the folks.
That poor girl will change her name the second she turns 18
She just needs to marry the right person 😂
She might become Annaly Rheam von Farthington
I think most judges would grant permission to change her name even if she's underage. After the reamed mom out for doing that
that poor girl in story 3 is probably going to ask the school to let her just be "anna". she MIGHT escape elementary school unscathed, but there is ZERO chance she can make it through middle school without the jokes.
Shieet, the grandparents are always the true Gs in this kind of story.
Story 1: Man's really out here putting the G in Grandpa. OP's parents are wildly unsupportive, but I'm so glad someone in her life DOES have her back.
Imagine being a hiring manager and reviving a résumé from an Annally
Yup quite a few of my Moms name proposals got quashed by my dad the same way.
@@rebeccajesse4604
For me, as much as people love to make fun of Richard, I'm glad I'm not Harold III like my dad wanted.
That poor child. Idk if there's a way but I hope someone sets the parents straight and gets that kid a name thay want cause them endless grief.
How do you live life on Easy mode like that and still turn out to be a failure?
that's exactly how, no idea what hard mode is to understand how easy you have it
Are you talking about story 1 and if so dude probably didn’t have more then half a brain cell to his name
Very fair point @@iamdb1990
Maybe that guy play on 'journalist' difficulty
The last story, reminds me of a family guy episode where Quadmire names his daughter that exact name hahahaha
Annally Rheam will be extremely popular with the boys when she's in high school. But at least they don't have to worry about teen pregnancy.
All I can say to the friend in the last story is "Welp, if your child gets horribly bullied, don't come crying to me"
That kid is gonna be the butt of so many jokes in school
Alianna actually sounds kinda cool op's friend's partner's narcissism really ruined the choices here. Also if op is the ah for showing you the truth, just wait till Annally comes home from school 😅
In the last story, not only are they going to bully this girl, but they're also going to think that her parents are dumber than dingleberries.
Poor kid, what stupid parents.
14:16 she could have named her Lyanna or Alyanna... since it's a mashup of both names... or at least spell it Hanna-Lee or smtg. Can't believe nody stoped her during the paperwork...
