If you switch weapons the instant you cast your 4 the 165% damage buff will last the entire length of the attack and you will more than DOUBLE the damage of your Final Stand spears and the resulting slash procs. Very effective for wrecking tougher enemies in Circuit.
Yea his build will literally do like 4x damage by swapping molt efficiency for Arachne, and augur secrets for big swap. Also, corrosive projection is doing nothing on the build, you already are hitting 200% strength, just use holster amp as well. Its just a straight upgrade to the build for essentially no cost, and it makes the build a bit more interactive. But this is a Bro video, it wouldn't be one of his if he didn't miss an obvious upgrade.

@@nobody4y honestly it's not broken at all. It's really good sure, but let's not pretend it's some meta destroying god augment. Frames like Octavia and Revenant are way better frames and neither one ever gets looked at much less nerfed.
Personally I put one two yellow shards on him, one for casting speed and the other for starting energy. The starting energy is nice because it'll give you enough to cast both nourish and his 3 so you can max out your energy right at the beginning.

The idea is to have enough starting energy so you can cast Rally Point AND Nourish both at the start of the mission and never need to worry about it, while if you could only cast one of the two you'd need to wait for either Rally Point to regen your energy or for a lucky energy orb drop real fast with Nourish. If you're willing to invest a few shards into Styanax, you can do away with some of Brozime's odd modding choices here (Primed Flow becomes useless, Corrosive Projection is already useless with Styanax's strength and how armor scales, Cunning Drift is never worth the slot) for an easier to use and more effective build.

Styanax has been a personal favorite for a while now and has moved up in my personal list of "Warframe to actually use" when i decide to do non-specific missions. And this whole thing for giving overguard just makes it excel further between both dealing out damage and providing cover so he or his allies don't get axed off so quickly. I know if we do a "build refresh" in the future for all the frames, I'm going to pay particular attention to "specific frame" augments since I honestly thought I was going to need to jump into another syndicate (but New Loka did have it, so I was happy). Still, I know there will be others to take into consideration especially if I decide to take Duviri serious.
I always prefer when frames have substantial support, these are generally far more fun (and rewarding) to synergize. With Helminth, you can just compliment each other perfectly. Helping weaker accounts is also a huge reason why I love support so much, and inversely, if they like supports, it's also easy for them to feel valuable without needing the craziest offensive setups.
yea and supports make me feel like i’m playing a multiplayer game, and not just a game that has multiplayer. Like for example; wife plays a lot of protea, so i decided to pick up hildryn. hildryn benefits from the shield regen protea gives, and can give make protea immune to toxin procs, as well as armour stripping with pillage (which protea cannot do without a subsume)

It's also cool cause it let's you bring builds that have trouble self-sustaining. For example, if I wanna use Duality and Maim (With energy-transfer) on Equinox, either I make some major compromises or I have someone else account for a chunk of what I need/want, especially if there's armor in the way. If it's uncoordinated, I'll just go with a pure maim build that strips for itself most the time. Needing the new mod instead of decaying will also increase this effect in quite some cases, and it'll also make dedicated shield supports that much more valuable. I'm a Mag main who usually plays with my sister who happens to be a Mag main too, so we'll take it.
I actually opted for aviator, aerodynamic, and boreal’s hatred on him so when in his 4 I have tons of DR on top of adaptation I slotted molt augmented and molt efficiency in the arcane slots. As far as archon shards there’s 1 amber for energy filled so I can cast 3 at the start of missions and then get the energy to cast nourish, and 4 crimson for duration so he throws enough spears to recoup all energy consumed and so he has to recast far less frequently. With roughly half of the maximum stacks from molt augmented he can have 100% uptime of his 4 and once I replace the normal crimson shards for tauforged variants I can even put on molt reconstruct if I want allies to regain HP (like 500-800 HP) whenever I cast my abilities.
i was able to have more then 500k all the time in circuit SP and had a lot of fun and everyone ells did not die ones and for the circuit i really love how they made the jackal fight like in other looter shooters like borderlands where there is a boss and some stages for it and immunity phase where hoards (has in the "hoard shooter" genre game we are playing) where u give everyone a chance to help with the fight not just one shot wait a bit then one shot wait a bit one shot all being done by 1-2 of the 4 in the squad and really like it (and the new maps has well)
With the augment he is closer to Revenant with his augment, rather than wisp. Both frames give your allies invincibility stacks. Oh and you might have just misphrased, but Combat Discipline is working, it just removes overguard instead of health. (And reddit agrees this is a fine bug to have btw)
I doubt the frame will ever rise from the depths again, but when warframe content creators go "Oh this build can do it all, Always full Energy for the squad, gives out DR and status immune and also has multiple DPS abilities" I always ask myself.... "What beneficial thing does Hydroid do exactly?"
I still remember the excuse for why no chance of a Valkyr update. "We remade Saryn and one person on reddit said it ruined her for them because they liked the original more regardless of what tier it was."
It's worth noting that the energy regen pauses for about .5-1 second whenever you use an ability. Not sure why if it's meant to be a balance mechanic or an engine quirk or something. Just worth noting

I love my Nourish Styanax build. I give myself and my Team Energy Regen, Energy Multiplier (over 1,000 energy in about 40 seconds), Viral Damage for all weapons (including Exalted Weapons), Overshields and Overguard. I also give myself Health and I can full Armor Strip in a single cast. I did a sortie survival the other day and by the end of the 10 mins I had almost 135,000 Overguard from spamming his 4 and my whole team had 50,000+ Overguard. It’s insane and I hope they don’t nerf it. I can spam his 4 nonstop and I don’t even have flow or primed flow. Just 5 Azure Archon Shards for Energy Max. 244 Strength (+60 from Molt Augmented), 140 Duration (+36 from Molt Efficiency), 145 Range and only 90 Efficiency.
I started playing with this augment earlier today! I’ll have to check what else changed in your build tomorrow and decide if it needs adjustment, but it was working pretty darn well for me, lol.
It is a thing that exists. I'm happy it's there for people who want to use it. I hate powers that restrict your movement and weapon use for extended periods. Final Stand is the power I would have wanted to Helminth over and I guess I still can, but it feels a lot like DE are pleading with me not to.
@@CrashSable right. So you build for like neutral duration, add the augment, utilize the overguard, and only use the spears infrequently. But getting rid of them is a waste. It's not like his 1 is fighting hard to stay on his build. There's ways to build into the augment without it being pure spear spam. So you're right, there isn't just one way.
@@Vi74LiTy I actually value grouping abilities a lot and his 1 has functionally infinite range on the implosion so is arguably the best one in the game as long as you make sure to pin an enemy to a surface with it. Plus you can make the argument you don't need the overguard in the shield gate meta with Rally Point. 367% strength and a Decaying Dragon Key means one kill fully restores base shields. Just kill the enemy that broke your shields in less than 1.3 seconds (3 seconds if you have a Hildryn specter or teammate) and you're golden. But why are we assuming you're only getting one kill at a time with the best grouping ability in the game? There's plenty of leeway to have less strength and/or not use the key at all to get the full bonus from his passive. Your argument sounds a lot like "there's more than one way, but only if you use one of the ways I've approved" to me I'm not saying the 4 is bad, you can use it all you want. I just don't have any fun with it or any other ability like it. Are you going to tell me Revenant has nothing to offer without his 4 either?
Stynax is stronger overall but this update has helped out Frost a ton. With the Icy Avalanche mod you can strip and CC a room while also giving your teammates hundreds of over guard with 1 button press. Cold buffs help out a bit too.
It was a definite buff to Frost, but not by much in my opinion and especially not that useful. The main perk is having status immunity and a SUPER short gate with Icy Avalanche, but that does eat a mod slot and you absolutely cannot survive off Icy Avalanche alone. The overguard doesn't stack and a mere couple thousand from Icy Avalanche gets eaten far quicker than Frost can cast his super slow 4.
I like this but i think you need to shed some light on Frosts Augment. i think it gives only a 3.5k amount of overguard. ig overguard gate could be a thing but Frost has the lowest energy pool in the game i think. i think that augment should be buffed for him
Was playing with this augment last night in the circuit. Team was loving me. At the end i had over 300k overguard and teammate with most after me over 150k. We only did 5 rounds, tho
I love this augment. In SP Circuit, I found I was only ever dying during Final Stand as I was being sniped out of the air and wouldn't get to safety before my shield gate was gone to use Rolling Guard or toss out his 2. Personally I'm running Arcane Arachne on him as it can easily buff his 4 a huge amount.
Did I miss something about this build that allows you to bypass the Overguard cap for Final Stand? Is that just in Steel Path? Regardless I'm so stoked for this build. As a player who likes to run predominantly male frames (duo with my wife who plays all female frames), but also prefers a more supportive role, this build is perfect. I probably won't run much else nowadays. Phalanx Styanax with Mesa in any mission is pretty much insane and I love it... That said, I'd love your opinion on best "meta" teams for each mission type... I know KnightmareFrame did a video like that a while ago but since we've gotten some really awesome support frames like this new augment for Styanax and Citrine I'd love to see how/if things have changed...
@@JohnDoe-qh2cn To be fair, the cap means absolutely nothing. at peak strength 50K overguard is still godlike for pretty much every single piece of content in the game. As long as you don't AFK in front of a pack of enemies and continually spam your 4 you will be unkillable
10:00 This is the only reason I run support builds at all as someone whos been playing for 5 years now and brings people to the game weekly. I shared this build with my styanax friends who love helping the bb, adolescent and steel path graduate Tenno. You should run vazarin though for the quick revives just saying tho. . ; ]
Vazarin is great not only for the revive, it also increases your affinity spread by 25 meters and should extend the overguard spread radius too (if the mod card is not lying)
Vazarin for life (or more accurately for the lives of all my friends, companions, and squadmates)!!! I can't see myself ever switching Focus schools unless I have to go unlock way-bound stuff... it's the School of Protectors, and especially with newbie friends, it's always better to have some way to protect them when they can't yet do so themselves!!!
This will without doubt get nerfed, I don't think it should because we need more variety in top tier support frames other than Wisp. But I was leveling him up on normal star chart Sedna and after 3 rounds at level 15 I had 50k overguard and the others had 25k and we were basically unkillable. Do nulifier bubbles or Demolysts remove overguard? If not then DE will definately do something about this before they even think about touching your Xaku build from the other week.
While not as much since there was a nerf, fortunately the overguard max scales with strength and at least with my build caps at 53K which is still comfortable to work with. And nope nullifiers don’t remove overguard.

Idk if anyone knows this, but styanax 4th ability can damage and kill the arbitration shield drones. I haven't been playing him long. I'm guessing this is a recent bug.
honestly i’d just wait for a defense or survival with a frame you like, and chill in one for 30-45 mins, you should get enough vitus for grendel in like 3/4 runs if ur lucky, ESPECIALLY if you’re able to time it with a resource doubler.
i dont get when people say hes a support frame , when u armor strip and use his 4th u literally clear rooms faster than any other dps , this frame is legit a dps and a support and a tank forhimself, just a solid kit making him S tier frame easily

Combat dicopline was working for me, had avenger up almost constantly. It just chips the overguard instead of hp... I think, I could have also just been tanking hits really well.
One thing that I was thinking to actually make Styanax more survivable is to us Aviator on exilus and then Boreal Set. I wonder if its still worth slotting here even with the Intrepid Stand augment? I mean it does not apply to Overguard but at the cost of lower total Overguard output, but you are more comfortable(?) imo. EDIT: I meant aviator, not aerodynamic
dr is useless in current warframe unless hyper health tanking on the level of inaros. styanax has low base armor and mostly shields which he gets a lot due to his 3rd ability granting shield on kill to everyone on the party. rather than waste a slot always go for more damage as a single tick of his ult with the augment gives u overguard. which btw now has .5 seconds of immune to damage when u lose it and then it also has status immunity thus meaning u cant die to slash or toxin procs which are the only things that kill u when ur shield/overguard gating.
@@zombislayer42 A few things, I understand the issue of DR is that well, in base steel path is if you dont have enough DR, its not worth it because it will still chunk you. But theoretically (i am saying theoretically because its only a concept im thinking in my head), you could slot Aviator* and Boreal Set and achieve 100%DR. In which you are airborne 99% of the time when you're spamming your 4. yes it takes a few mod slots but depending on your helminth I find range could be dropped down, to maybe 145% with just stretch alone. Secondly, Slash procs yes OG and SG will protect you from that but toxin procs, not sure if it bypasses Overguard but definitely goes thru shield. You kinda need status cleanse for that. You're still modding strength so its not like you're also losing strength, the build will change yes but I am just wondering if it could be tweaked to accommodate that and still not lose strength and duration from it. And lastly, I am also not sure if DR is affected on shields which is also one thing I was looking to confirm but never had the time to do it because of new content. Normally it is just Health but I got this idea due to how I modded titania with Aviator and even her shields barely break. This is also a concept enjoyed by Gauss with Kinetic plating and Redline active as well as Nezha's Halo which is why they tank really well. Armor only matters for Health Tanking DR which would apply to large HP frames like Inaros and Nidus.
@@rinz5027 AFAIK Aviator and Boreal set stack multiplicatively, so you wont be getting 100% DR. You could def get away with running Aviator (since his Exilus slot is free) and say, Adaptation to sheild tank more efficiently, but Boreal set is unnecesary (and truthfully, so is Adaptation)

Very baffled by the "take pity on Voruna's Augment" comment when you were adjusting the level. I guess I'll have to wait until the video to see what you mean. With her 1 enhancing the slash damage and keeping her invisible during the leaps, it's pretty easy to hit millions of points of damage procs which rapidly refresh the charges on her 4, and it's really easy to get those early kills by starting with her 2. I replaced her 3 with Nourish for the start of a run; sadly you can't recast it while in her 4, but once you're at the point where you've got 10 kills, it kinda stops mattering. I've done long runs in SP Circuit with the build and usually have >75% of the damage/kills done in the run. About the only thing it seems bad with is ability-resistant enemies, and even then the slash procs tend to wipe stuff out.
I find her 4 to be the weakest part of that particular equation, honestly. I've since replaced it ith Kullervo's 1 for fun, and now she's my dedicated Disruption frame (Note, you need to have Wrathful Advance active before you use her 1 as you can't buff CC while her ability is active, but otherwise the setup goes off)
I do like to throw a Redirection on him too since with overguard, his shields are protected and he keeps the crit chance of his passive. It doesn't make a massive difference to his CC but it's enough to push a few of my favorite weapons over 100% with Redirection
would precision Intensify work better than Umbral Intensify? Giving your 4 +90% vs the +44%?. You just lose the extra strength on the you're other 3 abilities
from my testing, it *seems* to be worth it. with growing power, and 2 str archon shards (only 1 of which was tau forged, as my other spare one was going for duration) i was hitting 61k overguard and the difference in energy regenerated was about 55ish. would probably be a bit more , but i didn't have nourish as i hated getting grendel so much i didnt put him in the helminth until today. Tharos strike was basically unaffected, still over 100% defense strip. but when i do slot nourish in i'll update
This is yet another frame where the augment should be integrated into the original ability, much like 90% of the augments in warframe. The modding system is truly busted and has been for years
Another frame I found that Nourish works well on: Frost. I’ve been using it with a high range and strength build, as well as Icy Avalanche. Lemme tell you: Being able to survive for half an hour in a Kuva Survival on the FREAKING SP as *Frost* of all frames without dying once, or hiding in a corner behind a bubble, is an incredible rush of dopamine that I highly encourage everyone to at least try out
That overguard augment does nothing if Styanax has close to nothing to hit. I could see that being a SUPER strong Circut build though. But even in most SP content Styanax might find very little targets for his 4 if his group members have good builds for damage.
@@MythicqI Not necessarily. For example an Archon hunt, especially when on the last mission. Mob density is already pretty low. Styanax would have a difficult time being useful for anything other than energy Regen and stripping the Archon of armor. I personally run equilibrium on basically all of my frames with a panzer that has the synth mods. I literally never have energy issues between that and zenurik. And the circuit has some insane energy buffs from decrees which completely make up for lacking a pet. To add to the ease of using equilibrium I am even starting to swap most of my endurance frames into combat discipline (not fully ranked) because then I don't have to even rely on synth mods from a pet. Add in one shard to increase health orb effectiveness and when you kill an eximus unit 2 health orbs drop that give 50 hp. 50 x 2.1 x 2 = 220 energy per health orb which means a guaranteed 440 energy per eximus unit. Literally impossible to run out of energy.

I also don't care what you bring if I use my Ivara or my Rev for an Archon hunt because either one doesn't need Styanax to stay alive or kill the Archon. So, even if MOST did have those builds they wouldn't need another player to bring Styanax.
wow poor frost got powercreeped not in a "deal more damage" way but the stacking overguard generation. Like poor guy its not like the cold buffs really moved the needle for him since he has low numbers on all his abilities

Yeah they are 100% gonna cap the amount of Overguard this generates. I have no shards, no Molt Arcanes, no Blind Rage, and some other gaps, and I just did a 40min Arbitration without anyone on the team going below 100,000 overguard for the latter 35min. They're gonna cap it at like. Your overshield limit.

While this is great, I would caution everyone to not get too invested in this augment. DE have a notorious track record of releasing unintentionally OP things and then nerfing them into the ground later on after letting people get used to them. Almost like a cruel joke. I firmly believe in a week or a month someone at DE will suddenly wake up and go “oh Intrepid Stance is broken, it gives too much Overguard and needs fixing” whereupon the augment will be nerfed into the ground.
As long as it ticks just one point of Overguard it's still going to be a strong mod. The worst that will happen is DE add an Overguard cap, and that doesn't hurt the mod one bit.
Great build, unfortunately does not compete with Dante at >1000 SP Circuit levels. Just can't replenish overguard fast enough while Dante can pump the max overguard up in 10 seconds flat.
Why would you use Umbral Intensify over Archon Intensify with Styanax when not doing a full Umbral build? You're constantly healing and stripping armor, so why not get that extra Ability Strength?
You are literally not healing because you aren't losing health. And even then, having to use his 2 every 10 seconds for 16% more strength is very annoying.

I actually opted for aviator, aerodynamic, and boreal’s hatred on him so when in his 4 I have tons of DR on top of adaptation
I slotted molt augmented and molt efficiency in the arcane slots.
As far as archon shards there’s 1 amber for energy filled so I can cast 3 at the start of missions and then get the energy to cast nourish, and 4 crimson for duration so he throws enough spears to recoup all energy consumed and so he has to recast far less frequently.
With roughly half of the maximum stacks from molt augmented he can have 100% uptime of his 4 and once I replace the normal crimson shards for tauforged variants I can even put on molt reconstruct if I want allies to regain HP (like 500-800 HP) whenever I cast my abilities.
Overguard is not affected by damage reduction

i was able to have more then 500k all the time in circuit SP and had a lot of fun and everyone ells did not die ones
and for the circuit i really love how they made the jackal fight like in other looter shooters like borderlands where there is a boss and some stages for it and immunity phase where hoards (has in the "hoard shooter" genre game we are playing) where u give everyone a chance to help with the fight not just one shot wait a bit then one shot wait a bit one shot all being done by 1-2 of the 4 in the squad and really like it (and the new maps has well)
With the augment he is closer to Revenant with his augment, rather than wisp. Both frames give your allies invincibility stacks.
Oh and you might have just misphrased, but Combat Discipline is working, it just removes overguard instead of health. (And reddit agrees this is a fine bug to have btw)
I doubt the frame will ever rise from the depths again, but when warframe content creators go "Oh this build can do it all, Always full Energy for the squad, gives out DR and status immune and also has multiple DPS abilities" I always ask myself.... "What beneficial thing does Hydroid do exactly?"

It's worth noting that the energy regen pauses for about .5-1 second whenever you use an ability. Not sure why if it's meant to be a balance mechanic or an engine quirk or something. Just worth noting
it might be an old feature that stops you from counteracting channeled ability costs

I love my Nourish Styanax build.
I give myself and my Team Energy Regen, Energy Multiplier (over 1,000 energy in about 40 seconds), Viral Damage for all weapons (including Exalted Weapons), Overshields and Overguard. I also give myself Health and I can full Armor Strip in a single cast.
I did a sortie survival the other day and by the end of the 10 mins I had almost 135,000 Overguard from spamming his 4 and my whole team had 50,000+ Overguard. It’s insane and I hope they don’t nerf it.
I can spam his 4 nonstop and I don’t even have flow or primed flow. Just 5 Azure Archon Shards for Energy Max.
244 Strength (+60 from Molt Augmented), 140 Duration (+36 from Molt Efficiency), 145 Range and only 90 Efficiency.
You can swap out Umbral Intensify for regular intensify and it'll only take 2 Forma.
I started playing with this augment earlier today! I’ll have to check what else changed in your build tomorrow and decide if it needs adjustment, but it was working pretty darn well for me, lol.
As a Styanax main it pleases me to see him get more love.

Final Stand is the power I would have wanted to Helminth over and I guess I still can, but it feels a lot like DE are pleading with me not to.

@@CrashSable right. So you build for like neutral duration, add the augment, utilize the overguard, and only use the spears infrequently. But getting rid of them is a waste. It's not like his 1 is fighting hard to stay on his build.
There's ways to build into the augment without it being pure spear spam. So you're right, there isn't just one way.
What does having your weapons be restricted matter if the abilty is nuking everything you're facing?
@@Vi74LiTy I actually value grouping abilities a lot and his 1 has functionally infinite range on the implosion so is arguably the best one in the game as long as you make sure to pin an enemy to a surface with it.
Plus you can make the argument you don't need the overguard in the shield gate meta with Rally Point. 367% strength and a Decaying Dragon Key means one kill fully restores base shields. Just kill the enemy that broke your shields in less than 1.3 seconds (3 seconds if you have a Hildryn specter or teammate) and you're golden.
But why are we assuming you're only getting one kill at a time with the best grouping ability in the game? There's plenty of leeway to have less strength and/or not use the key at all to get the full bonus from his passive.
Your argument sounds a lot like "there's more than one way, but only if you use one of the ways I've approved" to me
I'm not saying the 4 is bad, you can use it all you want. I just don't have any fun with it or any other ability like it. Are you going to tell me Revenant has nothing to offer without his 4 either?
Stynax is stronger overall but this update has helped out Frost a ton. With the Icy Avalanche mod you can strip and CC a room while also giving your teammates hundreds of over guard with 1 button press. Cold buffs help out a bit too.
It was a definite buff to Frost, but not by much in my opinion and especially not that useful. The main perk is having status immunity and a SUPER short gate with Icy Avalanche, but that does eat a mod slot and you absolutely cannot survive off Icy Avalanche alone. The overguard doesn't stack and a mere couple thousand from Icy Avalanche gets eaten far quicker than Frost can cast his super slow 4.
I like this but i think you need to shed some light on Frosts Augment. i think it gives only a 3.5k amount of overguard. ig overguard gate could be a thing but Frost has the lowest energy pool in the game i think. i think that augment should be buffed for him

Was playing with this augment last night in the circuit. Team was loving me. At the end i had over 300k overguard and teammate with most after me over 150k. We only did 5 rounds, tho

I love this augment. In SP Circuit, I found I was only ever dying during Final Stand as I was being sniped out of the air and wouldn't get to safety before my shield gate was gone to use Rolling Guard or toss out his 2.
Personally I'm running Arcane Arachne on him as it can easily buff his 4 a huge amount.
Did I miss something about this build that allows you to bypass the Overguard cap for Final Stand? Is that just in Steel Path? Regardless I'm so stoked for this build. As a player who likes to run predominantly male frames (duo with my wife who plays all female frames), but also prefers a more supportive role, this build is perfect. I probably won't run much else nowadays. Phalanx Styanax with Mesa in any mission is pretty much insane and I love it... That said, I'd love your opinion on best "meta" teams for each mission type... I know KnightmareFrame did a video like that a while ago but since we've gotten some really awesome support frames like this new augment for Styanax and Citrine I'd love to see how/if things have changed...

@@JohnDoe-qh2cn To be fair, the cap means absolutely nothing. at peak strength 50K overguard is still godlike for pretty much every single piece of content in the game. As long as you don't AFK in front of a pack of enemies and continually spam your 4 you will be unkillable

Vazarin is great not only for the revive, it also increases your affinity spread by 25 meters and should extend the overguard spread radius too (if the mod card is not lying)

I can't see myself ever switching Focus schools unless I have to go unlock way-bound stuff... it's the School of Protectors, and especially with newbie friends, it's always better to have some way to protect them when they can't yet do so themselves!!!

This will without doubt get nerfed, I don't think it should because we need more variety in top tier support frames other than Wisp. But I was leveling him up on normal star chart Sedna and after 3 rounds at level 15 I had 50k overguard and the others had 25k and we were basically unkillable.
Do nulifier bubbles or Demolysts remove overguard?
If not then DE will definately do something about this before they even think about touching your Xaku build from the other week.
While not as much since there was a nerf, fortunately the overguard max scales with strength and at least with my build caps at 53K which is still comfortable to work with.
And nope nullifiers don’t remove overguard.

Idk if anyone knows this, but styanax 4th ability can damage and kill the arbitration shield drones. I haven't been playing him long. I'm guessing this is a recent bug.

honestly i’d just wait for a defense or survival with a frame you like, and chill in one for 30-45 mins, you should get enough vitus for grendel in like 3/4 runs if ur lucky, ESPECIALLY if you’re able to time it with a resource doubler.
i dont get when people say hes a support frame , when u armor strip and use his 4th u literally clear rooms faster than any other dps , this frame is legit a dps and a support and a tank forhimself, just a solid kit making him S tier frame easily

Combat dicopline was working for me, had avenger up almost constantly. It just chips the overguard instead of hp... I think, I could have also just been tanking hits really well.

One thing that I was thinking to actually make Styanax more survivable is to us Aviator on exilus and then Boreal Set. I wonder if its still worth slotting here even with the Intrepid Stand augment? I mean it does not apply to Overguard but at the cost of lower total Overguard output, but you are more comfortable(?) imo.

dr is useless in current warframe unless hyper health tanking on the level of inaros. styanax has low base armor and mostly shields which he gets a lot due to his 3rd ability granting shield on kill to everyone on the party. rather than waste a slot always go for more damage as a single tick of his ult with the augment gives u overguard. which btw now has .5 seconds of immune to damage when u lose it and then it also has status immunity thus meaning u cant die to slash or toxin procs which are the only things that kill u when ur shield/overguard gating.

@@zombislayer42 A few things, I understand the issue of DR is that well, in base steel path is if you dont have enough DR, its not worth it because it will still chunk you. But theoretically (i am saying theoretically because its only a concept im thinking in my head), you could slot Aviator* and Boreal Set and achieve 100%DR. In which you are airborne 99% of the time when you're spamming your 4. yes it takes a few mod slots but depending on your helminth I find range could be dropped down, to maybe 145% with just stretch alone. Secondly, Slash procs yes OG and SG will protect you from that but toxin procs, not sure if it bypasses Overguard but definitely goes thru shield. You kinda need status cleanse for that.
You're still modding strength so its not like you're also losing strength, the build will change yes but I am just wondering if it could be tweaked to accommodate that and still not lose strength and duration from it.
And lastly, I am also not sure if DR is affected on shields which is also one thing I was looking to confirm but never had the time to do it because of new content. Normally it is just Health but I got this idea due to how I modded titania with Aviator and even her shields barely break. This is also a concept enjoyed by Gauss with Kinetic plating and Redline active as well as Nezha's Halo which is why they tank really well. Armor only matters for Health Tanking DR which would apply to large HP frames like Inaros and Nidus.
@@rinz5027 AFAIK Aviator and Boreal set stack multiplicatively, so you wont be getting 100% DR. You could def get away with running Aviator (since his Exilus slot is free) and say, Adaptation to sheild tank more efficiently, but Boreal set is unnecesary (and truthfully, so is Adaptation)
@@thekingdra487 Multiplicatively as in how much exactly would be total DR assuming Aviator + Boreal 3set? Could bring an Orthos/Guandao since its seems great for them for one of the Boreal. And yes, it is unnecessary coz DR also dont apply in Overguard and now it has a 0.5s gate.

Very baffled by the "take pity on Voruna's Augment" comment when you were adjusting the level. I guess I'll have to wait until the video to see what you mean. With her 1 enhancing the slash damage and keeping her invisible during the leaps, it's pretty easy to hit millions of points of damage procs which rapidly refresh the charges on her 4, and it's really easy to get those early kills by starting with her 2. I replaced her 3 with Nourish for the start of a run; sadly you can't recast it while in her 4, but once you're at the point where you've got 10 kills, it kinda stops mattering. I've done long runs in SP Circuit with the build and usually have >75% of the damage/kills done in the run.
About the only thing it seems bad with is ability-resistant enemies, and even then the slash procs tend to wipe stuff out.
I find her 4 to be the weakest part of that particular equation, honestly. I've since replaced it ith Kullervo's 1 for fun, and now she's my dedicated Disruption frame (Note, you need to have Wrathful Advance active before you use her 1 as you can't buff CC while her ability is active, but otherwise the setup goes off)

I do like to throw a Redirection on him too since with overguard, his shields are protected and he keeps the crit chance of his passive. It doesn't make a massive difference to his CC but it's enough to push a few of my favorite weapons over 100% with Redirection
would precision Intensify work better than Umbral Intensify? Giving your 4 +90% vs the +44%?. You just lose the extra strength on the you're other 3 abilities
from my testing, it *seems* to be worth it. with growing power, and 2 str archon shards (only 1 of which was tau forged, as my other spare one was going for duration) i was hitting 61k overguard and the difference in energy regenerated was about 55ish. would probably be a bit more , but i didn't have nourish as i hated getting grendel so much i didnt put him in the helminth until today. Tharos strike was basically unaffected, still over 100% defense strip. but when i do slot nourish in i'll update
This is yet another frame where the augment should be integrated into the original ability, much like 90% of the augments in warframe. The modding system is truly busted and has been for years
Another frame I found that Nourish works well on: Frost.
I’ve been using it with a high range and strength build, as well as Icy Avalanche. Lemme tell you: Being able to survive for half an hour in a Kuva Survival on the FREAKING SP as *Frost* of all frames without dying once, or hiding in a corner behind a bubble, is an incredible rush of dopamine that I highly encourage everyone to at least try out

That overguard augment does nothing if Styanax has close to nothing to hit. I could see that being a SUPER strong Circut build though. But even in most SP content Styanax might find very little targets for his 4 if his group members have good builds for damage.
But the less enemies there are the easier it is to complete the mission no?
@@MythicqI Not necessarily. For example an Archon hunt, especially when on the last mission. Mob density is already pretty low. Styanax would have a difficult time being useful for anything other than energy Regen and stripping the Archon of armor.
I personally run equilibrium on basically all of my frames with a panzer that has the synth mods. I literally never have energy issues between that and zenurik. And the circuit has some insane energy buffs from decrees which completely make up for lacking a pet.
To add to the ease of using equilibrium I am even starting to swap most of my endurance frames into combat discipline (not fully ranked) because then I don't have to even rely on synth mods from a pet. Add in one shard to increase health orb effectiveness and when you kill an eximus unit 2 health orbs drop that give 50 hp. 50 x 2.1 x 2 = 220 energy per health orb which means a guaranteed 440 energy per eximus unit. Literally impossible to run out of energy.

I also don't care what you bring if I use my Ivara or my Rev for an Archon hunt because either one doesn't need Styanax to stay alive or kill the Archon.
So, even if MOST did have those builds they wouldn't need another player to bring Styanax.

Yeah they are 100% gonna cap the amount of Overguard this generates. I have no shards, no Molt Arcanes, no Blind Rage, and some other gaps, and I just did a 40min Arbitration without anyone on the team going below 100,000 overguard for the latter 35min. They're gonna cap it at like. Your overshield limit.

While this is great, I would caution everyone to not get too invested in this augment. DE have a notorious track record of releasing unintentionally OP things and then nerfing them into the ground later on after letting people get used to them. Almost like a cruel joke.
I firmly believe in a week or a month someone at DE will suddenly wake up and go “oh Intrepid Stance is broken, it gives too much Overguard and needs fixing” whereupon the augment will be nerfed into the ground.
As long as it ticks just one point of Overguard it's still going to be a strong mod. The worst that will happen is DE add an Overguard cap, and that doesn't hurt the mod one bit.

Great build, unfortunately does not compete with Dante at >1000 SP Circuit levels. Just can't replenish overguard fast enough while Dante can pump the max overguard up in 10 seconds flat.

Why would you use Umbral Intensify over Archon Intensify with Styanax when not doing a full Umbral build? You're constantly healing and stripping armor, so why not get that extra Ability Strength?
You are literally not healing because you aren't losing health.
And even then, having to use his 2 every 10 seconds for 16% more strength is very annoying.
and STILL kullervo has his OG capped, like wtf....
More on topic, this build is impressive but seems honestly not that fun to play? Just looks like...autopilot death from above spamming.
