26:00 the boss isn't invulnerable for most of the orb attack, the problem is that you can only damage it while inside the orb. On the bright side, if you do go inside the orb, his weak points are exposed for most of the animation, if memory serves
Downside: going into the orb nullifies you, so it's much safer to just wait the 10 seconds until he finishes. It's a 10 minute timer, 10 seconds more or less won't matter.
Been looking forward to this guide so i can finally fight the super boss, did not expect it to be less a boss fight & more of an attenuation checklist.
Not sure if this is common knowledge, but after you heavy slam, tapping block will cancel the recovery and let you move again sooner, except your jump is kind of disabled for a bit. Rolling is always an option but this is a good second. Edit: Apologies, this only works with the Sampotes. The titron doesn't get this effect.
I found this way easier than the tank boss. Cleared this one with minimal effort with some help from guides and messing around with what I was comfortable with. I ran Torid, Vazarin for protective sling, and rolling guard. After that I just maxed out aim glide and took a heavy slam melee for clearing trash. I find he doesn't do nearly the damage the tank does. Thanks for the guide!
Thanks very much for this guide. And you're right, the mid 'arena' is so bad that you're forced on the ground and die straight away - also, given it's so small, the boss silences you big time. I died 3 times in a row in it (very unlucky), as soon as I got the large one, I managed to do it first time - much easier!
I just circled around alternating rolling guard and protective dash and it wasn't too bad on the ground...I used a glaive to clear adds when a large number spawn but a heavy slam build makes sense too
This ^^ If you use a full shield gate + Vazarin panic button, the boss is actually pretty easy. And even if you do get hit I found out you have time to recover. No need to stay in air
Whether or not the Laetum is the best 2ndary is hard to say, but it is probably the one that surprises me most for being a 2ndary. Between it and something like the augmented Ocucor, I can always bring something that compliments my setup. They do such good jobs that I no longer feel my single-target focused setup really wants help with multi-target from the team or frame's attacks, and vice-versa.
I was struggling to fight the superboss solo for awhile, and then I found out that the sicarus prime incarnon was incredibly bugged, so I used that and cheesed the fight line a day or two before it got patched. Now I got me some nice grippers for my ship
I did this in the Anchorite arena (the worst one) and it was surprisingly not as horrible as I thought. Just stick to the outside and build distance between the boss as much as possible and stay in the air as well. Did it with Sevagoth and only had one call but I was also lacking a bit
I highly advise using a necramech in this. I burned away most of 60 eye murmer and shield/ health tanked most shots using my necramech and a kuva grattler
had great success in the tank fight with the max in-air dr build, anyone know if it seems to work good for 60eyes? weird, was definitely a bug but vazarin's 1 appeared to reduce regen delay to 0.00sec with its on-break effect + a -delay mod when i did the tank but i can't get it to happen anymore 🧀😢
Malurth did a great video explaining this which I highly recommend, but if memory serves correctly: When the primary beam hits an enemy it causes an invisible explosion, which then spawns the chaining beams to other enemies (from every enemy hit by said initial beam explosion; not just the initial enemy hit). Firestorm increases the radius of that explosion, which in turn makes it easier to hit more enemies for more chain beams, effectively increasing the target cap quite drastically. Obviously there are limits in terms of damage falloff and (lack of) multishot application, but since the Torid deals essentially overkill amounts of damage anyways it's still an incredibly good and easy way to boost its AoE potential TL;DR: Firestorm makes it a lot easier to spawn more chaining beams and due to the Torid's crazy base damage it's arguably the best way to increase its AoE potential
TLDR: the initial aoe of the beam is considered an explosion and the larger explosion radius means it can hit more targets to chain to. Malurth has a fantastic video explaining this exact question, including a coded simulation to visualize exactly why.
honestly both of the super bosses have been really boring "endgame" content. they should really bring back trials. those we're the closest to "raids" and were actually fun endgame content. fun to learn, fun to teach.
Yknow, i told myself i wouldn't bpther with the super bosses cuz its not worth the effort for an ugly sumdali... But i kinda really want that Jade glpyh
@shauntempley9757 yeah, really weird stuff. I did the 1999 tank because it made perfect sense, but I won't be doing 20 minutes missions here. I would in a bit if Dante, my favorite, and Qorvex were there
The chaining check between the first enemy you hit and the enemies it chains to is a sphere, and firestorm makes it bigger. Means that below enemy chaining cap or makes the chaining longer.
@@KaiSoDaM The beam chains five times starting from EACH enemy hit in the initial 'sphere', so Firestorm allows for more beams to spread out. And to be clear, it doesn't change how far the beams can track.
In what way? If you mean the funny haha Zarr build I might post about it but probably going to wait for the first patch of the year to see if things shift after all the feedback
@@omega9077 How? The fight is decent, but its not testing your build and skill nearly as much. It's mostly about shooting weakpoints to end invincebility phases, which is a terrible design, since it's not really testing your skill, but moreso your knowledge, not to mention that the rocket launchers are doing most of the work anyway. The minion spawn rate is horrendous too. Anyone can shoot some weakpoints, but the 60/30 fight was actually testing your build in terms of survivability and damage output. It had well telegraphed attacks, interesting and fun phases, that didn't feel like waiting around. I mean the torid is available next week so this is a really good time to release this.

It's always the same cycle, it never changes. This week is week 4, next week will be week 5. It starts over after 8. It’s on the wiki.
