Ibis paint's brushes dont take one video for one brush. infact, if you watch one video you actually get all the brushes in ibis paint! And it lasts for 18 hours, if i wers you, it wouldnt hurt to watch one video every 18 hours 😊

it's because you're used to the ibis piant and the other drawing apps don't have the same setup as ibis. because of this, you are set out of your comfort zone. plus, some apps are more confusing, as they're made for more higher level artists.

actually in Skeches if you tap on the settings of the layer that they give you at the beginning you can duplicate as many times as you want, it's still not as great as being able to create new layers but at least you don't have to pay :v
I actually use ibisPaint and am satisfied with it’s S tier status. Definitely deserves it. I thought it was weird that she didn’t mention the leaderboards and the social platform side of ibis. I feel like that’s a big plus considering it’s where many people can post their art and gain reasonable traction.
Ibispaint x tips: 1. I don’t think anyone knows what the ‘set’ mode does in the magic wand/lasso. 2. Use filters to blur (I normally use frosted glass them grassian blur, also remember to magic wand the place you wanna blur or else it’ll look weird) 3. You get used to the ad, so don’t worry too much about it 4. If you wanna shade, make another layer then turn down the brightness on that new layer to about 30-45 then use one of the lighting filters. Now your basically a pro
Also using the select layer is a lot easier than using the lasso or magic wand, I usually magic wand first then fix it really quick in the select layer or just use the fill bucket in the select layer-

the ibispaint “temporary” brushes threw me off a lot when i first started, but you only have to watch one 30 second ad for all the brushes free for 18 hours, as opposed to the ad for every brush that i thought was necessary. it’s a great app because it has ads instead of skimping out on quality parts of the drawing components

Ok, so to export a video from IbisPaint you need to press in the three points near the bottom right corner of the screen Then, there will be an option that is called "Save Movie (MP4)" After pressing, you can choose the length of the video It will take a little time to load, but nothing so long That's how I export my videos from IbisPaint
I used to use that app and there wasn’t any layering feature that I knew of, and no bucket feature So I’d have to manually color in everything I drew and then redo the lineart so it didn’t look as bad 😭
If you guys were wondering, ibis paint isn’t the only one of these apps with text tool Autodesk has this feature too. It’s in the same menu as the selection as well as the transform tool (the transform tool allows you to move/resize/distort)

My first was “kids doodle” (or something to that effect) but I’ve been using ibis paint ever since I got it, and even though I have to use my fingers to draw, the app works great for me
I use ibis, and you can export the videos, I’ve done it before. If you go out to the gallery and then tap the box with the arrow in the top right (while over the desired artwork) you can bring up a box of different things. If you select the one that says Movie (MOV) you can choose how long the movie is and export it!
For awhile, I actually used IbisPaint X as my main drawing app, so I can help out with some of the features. First off, to export the little movie, you click the export button next to the play movie button, and then click movie. Then, you select how long you want it to be (6 seconds, up to 300 seconds) and then you have to watch through the actual movie so that way it can download. Second, the brushes actually don’t require you to watch an add for all of them. You only have to click on one of the brushes that require it, watch one ad, and it will unlock all brushes for 18 hours. The add on the top is annoying, but you get used to it, and it’s really the only thing I can’t solve for you. Hope this helped 🙃
fun fact about ibis paint: it has a premuim option that is no reason to get it- and the comic part you said it is good for tons of styles i personally have a anime esc style that ibis is perfect for
being honest, ibis is way more laggy and clippy than medibang. To each their own, but medibang is better than ibispaint. maybe for others they'd argue the other way, but that's my tea (Had to edit it to fix english)
before i got ipad pro and procreate i decided to try digital art on my crappy school ipad. we had a small restricted selection of apps chosen by the city council and autodesk sketchbook was one of those. it was the best i could get at the time and even though i much prefer procreate now it was still a very good app and i’d def recommend it to anyone who wants a free drawing app :)
As an ibispaint user, you can save any colors you’ve made by holding onto the color above for a bit then drag. You can also export the speed paint by pressing on the three dots.
I have ibispaintX and once you click "try it for free" It unlocks all the pens for 18 hours i believe. And also you are able to export the small drawing vids Edit: tysm for 200 likes

I just use medibang and ibis paint, i feel comfortable with them. Also if you haven't could you try free mobile animation apps? *Edit* also for ibis paint to export your speed art you tap one of your artworks, press the triple dots, hit save movie (mp4) and select how long you want it to be.

To export your pictures from Ibis paint X you need to click on the picture and then click on the three dots and it should give you options on what way you want to save.

as someone who uses sketches as my default drawing app, the app is pretty easy when you really get the hang of it, and when you figure out all the tools you can make some pretty badass stuff honestly.
One thing I want to say about her mentioning the locked brushes on Ibis is that it gives you ALL the brushes for 18 hours! And even if it can't load an ad, you can still use them for a shorter amount of time! I find this isn't a bad trade off, especially because the ads are usually pretty short! Edit: To export the video, you actually click upload and you get a video of it- can't remember the exact process because it's been awhile since I've done it though lol
Even if you don’t wanna watch a short ad to get all of the locked brushes, I would say they were quite generous with how many were free. You still have a good selection. I don’t mind watching a ad that gives them some money for an entire 18 HOURS of free premium quality brushes.
Yeah I was a little thrown off that she made it seem as if you had to watch a video for ever brush but I’m glad a lot of people in the comments know that’s not the case haha
I really really love the text feature in ibispaint. I really like being able to download fonts from the internet. I also think it’s cool how you can put in custom brushes with QR codes
Sketchbook user here for many years and there are more features in the app the more u discover things in a long time(for me lol). The undo buttons r only up and below i think, so i can see left handers having difficulty with that. Another thing it's lacking are the amout of brushes than ibis, tho ibis in my tab is laggy thats why. Imma check medibang out from the comments
there’s a text tool in Sketchbook as well in case you still haven’t found it, it’s the third from the right next to the time lapse button (that is also a nice feature you can save in your ipad photos)

I use IbisPaint for all my drawings! Its quite useful once you know how to use it. Ive discovered a lot of little hidden features in it that are very, very good! I think it is best.
Hey, auto desk sketchbook user here. Actually, I don’t know if this is a recent update, but you can use a three finger swipe left and right to undo and redo, and a swipe up for the color wheel, and down for the brush library. I don’t think it requires a specific hand anymore. Great vid tho!
I actually have Autodesk on my phone and I use it all the time when I want to draw but can't get a hold of a physical pen and paper, I really like it all the different tools and do-dads can help you achieve a splendid piece of art 😊😊

Ibis paint also has blending layers filters etc. From movie filters to graphics its amazing.With the adds there is a little X to get rid of it. If you press the i when looking at the window of the drawing you can name your artwork and you can also export the videos by using the 3 dots. I hope this helps

Autodesk actually has the speed paint recording thing. It also has the text feature! You just need to look at the top bar. Idk if they updated it and your version didn't have it- idk LOL
i gotta say, as a procreate user, that ibispaint is pretty damn good, especially for filters. but, the deal breaker for me is that it's not pixel based. you can't zoom all the way in and manipulate every single pixel like in procreate. or if you can, i couldnt figure out how.

For the Autodesk Sketchbook undo thing, if you go the preferences then scroll a little, it lets you add custom gestures, including the 2 finger tap to undo thing.

I use Ibis paint and I know you were confused on how to save the video so I will tell you how :so if you go back and look you will see a three dots on the top of your screen and if you click on them it will ask what you want to do on the art and there is a part were it says (save movie) you will click on that one and select a time and wait for a minute and you'll be done

Ibispaint is my favorite one, it has a lot of brushes, blending modes, options.... When I first downloaded this app I fell in love with it♥ You can export your drawings. I bet the girl you drew would look better if you knew how to properly use the app, it's kinda hard to use until you figure out everything
You can export the videos! It's in the three dots in the gallery, just press that and select save movie. You can even choose how long the timelapse is! And the brushes with the ads? Watch 2 bafflingly short ads and you can use all the brushes for 18 hours I primarily use IBIS Paint X, so I'm biased, it does deserve S Tier 100%

I began my art career on tayasui sketches around 3 years ago without layers and recently upgraded to procreate and WOW. I'm progressing so much faster now that I can use layers. Imagine working without layers being your norm. For 3 years. That was me XD

Well I have used Tayasui Sketches and it's pretty good and stuff but I got the pro version shortly after cuz it was on sale for .99 rather than 5.99

I'm pretty sure set changes what's selected every time you adjust it instead of adding/subtracting to what's already selected

I use ibis, and you can export the videos, I’ve done it before. If you go out to the gallery and then tap the box with the arrow in the top right (while over the desired artwork) you can bring up a box of different things. If you select the one that says Movie (MOV) you can choose how long the movie is and export it!

I've been using ibis paint x for 1year now and I didn't even now that, so thanks.
For awhile, I actually used IbisPaint X as my main drawing app, so I can help out with some of the features. First off, to export the little movie, you click the export button next to the play movie button, and then click movie. Then, you select how long you want it to be (6 seconds, up to 300 seconds) and then you have to watch through the actual movie so that way it can download. Second, the brushes actually don’t require you to watch an add for all of them. You only have to click on one of the brushes that require it, watch one ad, and it will unlock all brushes for 18 hours. The add on the top is annoying, but you get used to it, and it’s really the only thing I can’t solve for you. Hope this helped 🙃

before i got ipad pro and procreate i decided to try digital art on my crappy school ipad. we had a small restricted selection of apps chosen by the city council and autodesk sketchbook was one of those. it was the best i could get at the time and even though i much prefer procreate now it was still a very good app and i’d def recommend it to anyone who wants a free drawing app :)

As an ibispaint user, you can save any colors you’ve made by holding onto the color above for a bit then drag. You can also export the speed paint by pressing on the three dots.

To export your pictures from Ibis paint X you need to click on the picture and then click on the three dots and it should give you options on what way you want to save.

as someone who uses sketches as my default drawing app, the app is pretty easy when you really get the hang of it, and when you figure out all the tools you can make some pretty badass stuff honestly.
One thing I want to say about her mentioning the locked brushes on Ibis is that it gives you ALL the brushes for 18 hours! And even if it can't load an ad, you can still use them for a shorter amount of time! I find this isn't a bad trade off, especially because the ads are usually pretty short!
Edit: To export the video, you actually click upload and you get a video of it- can't remember the exact process because it's been awhile since I've done it though lol

Even if you don’t wanna watch a short ad to get all of the locked brushes, I would say they were quite generous with how many were free. You still have a good selection. I don’t mind watching a ad that gives them some money for an entire 18 HOURS of free premium quality brushes.

Sketchbook user here for many years and there are more features in the app the more u discover things in a long time(for me lol). The undo buttons r only up and below i think, so i can see left handers having difficulty with that. Another thing it's lacking are the amout of brushes than ibis, tho ibis in my tab is laggy thats why.

Hey, auto desk sketchbook user here. Actually, I don’t know if this is a recent update, but you can use a three finger swipe left and right to undo and redo, and a swipe up for the color wheel, and down for the brush library. I don’t think it requires a specific hand anymore. Great vid tho!

Ibis paint also has blending layers filters etc. From movie filters to graphics its amazing.With the adds there is a little X to get rid of it. If you press the i when looking at the window of the drawing you can name your artwork and you can also export the videos by using the 3 dots. I hope this helps

i gotta say, as a procreate user, that ibispaint is pretty damn good, especially for filters. but, the deal breaker for me is that it's not pixel based. you can't zoom all the way in and manipulate every single pixel like in procreate. or if you can, i couldnt figure out how.

I began my art career on tayasui sketches around 3 years ago without layers and recently upgraded to procreate and WOW. I'm progressing so much faster now that I can use layers. Imagine working without layers being your norm. For 3 years. That was me XD
