Haters! I'm so frustrated for you to the person who turned you in… We all have a right to our feelings and feelings are not truth. Good for you for keeping this in your amazing review.
Thanks Sandra 💜 From my understanding it had been a whole grape-vine type thing where a student had read it from a post I made on Instagram, and then had told their parent about how they were sad I was thinking about leaving, ra ra ra 😝 Was super cool to be pulled into the office to essentially be told off for saying I wasn't having a great time rather than asking if there was anything that could be done to change that 😂 That was the part that peeved me off more 😅
@@JashiiCorrin right? Instead of criticizing you for your opinion, maybe get to the root of the problem. When my little guy was small, he was getting bullied in first grade. The teacher told him he had to give a valentine to these girls who had bullied him, pushed him down, and stuck his head in the water faucet. He was the smallest in his class. Instead of getting to the root of the problem, we were told he has to give a valentine to everyone in the class or he won’t get any. So we opted out of the valentine class exchange because the valentine is not the problem and sounds like here you are having something similar-don’t speak up don’t complain and maybe it’ll all go away problem-solving. I have to tell you I love your videos. They are my treat at the end of the work day as a single mom and sole supporting and caring for my 89-year-old dad I appreciate the beauty you bring to the journal and I love your voice. I also used your code at Archer and Olive to buy some pretty things- keep up the good work, and I so enjoy your videos!
@@sandrabeckmedia Thanks Sandra! Glad you enjoy them and always appreciate anyone using my code! 😄 Glad you could nab yourself some savings with it 💜 Totally understand why you would opt out of the Valentine thing; that's a really icky situation.
My absolute favorite part of having a bujo is keeping all the days of the month together. I hate how pre made planners have a full week, and will fill it with the next month's days. No more!!! I'll squeeze 8 days into a weekly spread, or just 3 on a page. It's brilliant. I love it.
Wow! So many spreads!! I keep the same format every week. "week at a glance" on the left side, then however many pages I need for dailies. I feel like I write big, so it works for me 😁
yay awesome, perfect to watch while eating dinner or just while working on my own journal since i love hear you talk about anything bujo and get lots and lots of good ideas from you
A long Jashii video! Woo-hoo! Everytime the videos are 40+ minutes, I’m hyped. I have been watching your videos on a secondary, educational-content, viewing-only channel, so I haven’t been able to comment on any previously watched. And I binged your videos when I wasn’t feeling well for a couple of days. So I finally switched accounts and subscribed via this channel where I can comment and 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Anyways, I just wanted to say that I am FINALLY going to take up bullet journaling because the spreads you do are exactly what I want from a bujo. I’m an artistic person but I don’t care for intense decorating, I want simplicity & functionality with lil fun. The way you explain how you use the journal and the goal, project, and habit planning- great stuff. Like the “week in my journal” you just uploaded. So helpful. Oh! and as a sci-fi fan, I loved your April alien abduction theme and the functional dailies.
Glad you could comment on this one, and great to hear that you've been enjoying the videos! 😄💜 I'm excited for you taking up bullet journaling; I hope you find it as useful as I do 💪
Wow! That was a lot. I prefer weekly spreads. I like having my week at a glance. It's just easier for me to plan and to make sure nothing falls through the cracks. And I also prefer vertical layouts. Thank you for the video and the inspiration!
Wow! Get it, Jess! What a great reference video. I was just thinking I wanted to switch it up, maybe try a one spread weekly without a dutch door. I do that so I can see my Alastair's list on any day. But I am getting bored and ready for a change. Thanks for all the options!
Awww, I had such a warm flashback moment when you got to the Neapolitan notebook and the science theme. I do believe that was the first video of yours I ever saw. I was still very new to bullet journaling and wasn’t sure what I was doing yet (not that I know yet 😂). I prefer the weekly/daily combo. I really do like having a place to park events for later in the week.
Thank you so much for posting this video, I always seem to have a hard time coming up with weekly’s! I love how you do your weekly logging and using the alastair method ☺️
@@JashiiCorrin thanks! I tried looking for it but still binge watching all your videos teehee! I’ve seen this done in junk journals but with loose pages, so was curious how you did it with pages already in a book! I’m curious how the ink will hold up with no acid neutralizing treatment to prevent ink disappearing overtime. 🥰
We have a video about that which might help! th-cam.com/video/Mco3kEP2WCo/w-d-xo.html Very much depends on how you do each of them though, just so there isn't redundancy 😊 I personally use daily logs with a mini weekly dashboard (just has priorities and my meal plan)
I loved your video very much! Also I agree with a comment here that your speech is so lovely! I am not a native English speaker and I pretty love your voice and your speaking! As for daily logging, I didn't get it, how do you do with some preplanned events and tasks? I mean, I just want to try a daily logging, but I have pretty much of the preplanned items.
Typically I would do them roughly 3-ish days before the new week started (mainly because I would film it for TH-cam) but there was also a period when I was setting up a full month in advance. Both of them had benefits, but my preference is normally to set them up as I go. Helps to better predict what I'll need in that week when I'm a bit closer to it in terms of time 😊
Do you find it more effective to structure your weekly journal entries based on specific dates (1 to 30 days) or by days of the week (Sunday/Monday to Saturday etc.), and why? I wanna know your opinion. Thanks in advanced. 😊
🤔 depends. More usually I think of them as day of the week based as I’m not really great and thinking on a monthly basis, but certain things do get done on specific days of the month (eg book club poll always goes up on the 10th) so it’s somewhat task-determined. In general though, weekly is easier for me 😊 which works better for you?
@@JashiiCorrin Thank you for sharing your perspective! I'm currently figuring out my own journaling style, and I'm leaning towards a date-based approach. I've noticed a bit of frustration when the first week starts at the 3rd or 4th date, particularly since I used to set weekly goals. Going back to the previous month for the first day of the week in my weekly goals is frustrating. So, I'm making the adjustment to a date-based structure to better suit my preferences. 😅
It's not my personal preference 💜 I know that since I used them, they have come out with a range of thicker paper (120 gsm) notebooks, but for the type of things I do in my journal, I prefer something with 160 gsm paper 😊 If you enjoy a more "used" looking paper (e.g. being able to see the writing from one side of the paper on the other side, even it only faintly) then the LT1917 isn't a bad option. For instance, in my "notes book" (where I take notes, funnily enough, about things I'm learning about) I actually quite like the ghosting from one side to the other; makes me feel like I'm doing well with my note taking 😂 for regular everyday planning which I like to make a bit more decorative though, thicker paper is my preference 😊 hope that helps!
hiiii, may i ask what do you do when the coming week is a transition from 1 month to the next? like October 29 2023 is a Sunday, Oct 30 is a Monday, then Oct 31 is a Tuesday then Wednesday is November 1...... Do you include October 29 to 31 as part of the week for the November (week 1) spread??
I flip between two options: 1. Whichever month “owns” more days of the week gets the weekly (in your example, that’s November as it had 5 of the days) 2. Different sized weekly layouts so each month houses just that’s month’s days (eg a 9 day weekend for Oct 23-31)
Do you have any images of something that would work for me? And my business? Trying to get ideas. I schedule two appointments today one in the morning one in the afternoon. I need some place for notes to record phone call conversations, notes and to do's. I also want to keep my schedule separate from the businesses somehow in the mix so I can see what classes i'm sponsoring an appointments I have at a glance. We are home inspectors and I schedule 2 appointments a day. One that starts at 8 AM and another one that starts at 1:30. I'm trying to find a good layout that would work for this. Any ideas on layouts would be appreciated. Most of the weekly spreads, i'm seeing only have a single box and that would not work for me. I want it blocked out into different blocks somehow. So it's easy to identify at a glance. I like the weekly spread. We are a single inspector firm, so we can only fit in 8 to 2 ten a week at most. I have a lot of free time and a daily would be a waste.
Well it's pretty the same with As, as A5 is smaller than A4. The reason is that how much of these As can fit the basic A0 (A zero) sheet size. There must be 4 A4s in 1 A0 (A zero). However I didn't check for sure as I don't have enough space for a A0 sheet of paper :)))) I mean, there's probably similar reason for the Bs - the fractions. But I'm not so sure.
@@katealoguedit yay, happy to read this. Yes, there is method. Ya know, I am thinking now, in every madness there's method. The mad thing is that we don't know it (yet?) :))))
1:53 The whole size thing B5 to B6 never made since to me. Until someone explained it had to do with the number of equal size cut pages you can get out of the huge sheet of paper that are produced in a factory. I still need to wrap my brain around the A -vs- B thing. Then again being in America where it is letter or legal, might have something to do with it. Christina 🦝
