I’d like to echo the consensus. It’s great to see someone who’s skinned his knuckles getting into his toolbox rather than his wallet. Well done man. I’m impressed with your whole set up. Old trailer, old bike beautiful for its imperfections. Ride it within your capability and stay safe.
The whole project was like that. I started with a frame and engine basically. Ended up with what I envisioned on a very tight budget. Thank you so much.
I used to do trials but haven't owned a motor bike for years. Just love the engineering and the home builds. Incredible what people can do, great looking bike.
Jeremy I was an N.E.O.T.T Member to.OSSA MICK ANDREW'S REPLICA EARLY 70s.with this bike here I'd remove the gas cap, roll the bike away then replace the cap on a BSA GOLD 🌟 STAR.Hey,c'mon that's funny.Ok, a Honda 4OO.😎🏁
Holy guacamole batman, a Yamaha xs250 that actually starts. When they came out around 1973 they were the devil to start. My mates had them, I had the Suzuki gt250k and it started first kick, but the sx250s would flatten their batteries and then had to be bump started down the nearest and biggest hill. Now these bikes were all brand new, a week old and the dealers could never find anything wrong. After being kept indoors overnight, they started easily enough. But when the guys took them home and they were left out overnight, they were a complete and utter bollocks to start , that was if they did start. Sorry for the long winded explanation.
Yes, they're a pretty basic system however they work well. There's gauze covering the end of the elbows to stop sparrows being sucked in but no other filtering material.
Nice looker but I've owned an XS250 and they are heavy and slow as hell. I write this not to put you down in any way and you must know this yourself in any case. The good thing is that an engine swap would be easy, Perhaps a middle weight Suzuki twin motor ? if it's not too wide for chain alignment or big single, DR 650 perhaps
I'm fully aware they're no R1, if you've got a DR650 lump you'd like to donate feel free but my budget was very limited. But still I didn't come last in my race 👍🏻😁
@@247Rocker1 As I said, I'm not putting you down, jeez, some of the stinkers I've owned over the years (because of budget) have left me mentally scarred ! You've made it look great and congrats on not being last too. Hmmm, I wonder if a supercharger from some old compact car could be fitted ? that would be different AND fun.

Finally! A bike that hasn't been assembled in a state of the art CNC/3D printing workshop costing a hundred grand.

At least it was built not bought like many others!
Great actual shed build, good job mate!
Looks nicely proportioned.
Love the polished aluminium tank - stunning. 👌👍
Got to love the “ram air” system ! 👍

Lovely bike ! Are you local to rochester kent ? Would love to meet up and bring mine,
awesome build thanks for sharing. what suspension dampers in the rear did you use?
Thanks. The shocks are made by TEC. They're reasonably priced and did the job as I didn't have a massive budget.
What a transformation, you should be chuffed with yourself, well done man, now just don't drop the bugger.
Donde consigo repuestos decesa x s 250
А почему кикстартер справа?

@@englishsteve1465 Funny you mention that, a turbo was considered during the design process
What's he racing !!!! A slug ?😉
Those proportions don’t sit right with me. Too much clutter and nothing lines up. Fair play for doing it yourself but not for me
