I.... I don't even know what I just watched. I can't navigate about more than 10 meters without having to consult the map to figure out which way I need to go. Let alone insane shinespark chains like this. Truly, a legend is born.
Stuff like this reminds me of how lenient the Speed Booster is in Dread compared to the earlier games. Even in ROM hacks of Super Metroid that give you chain sparking and speedkeep, the slightest clip on the edge or a barely missed jump would make you lose your spark. I guess they wanted to make the tech more accessible and versatile in this game and hey, I’m not complaining.
you say that like it's a bad thing, some of the puzzles are still a pain in the ass to pull off. maybe I suck but I always hated how hard the speed booster and the shinespark were to control in some of the earlier games, especially when going for 100% they feel great in Dread and I genuinely think its a good thing that theyre overall easier to control
@@pieisgood235 Maybe I’m just used to the strictness of the older games because of how much I’ve played them and their ROM Hacks. I like that Dread made it more lenient, but it sometimes feels a bit too lenient.
I think it's perfectly balanced. With the introduction of wall jump correction, MS designed puzzle with using these tech. So more inputs are require for these puzzles. Unlike early speedboost store and spark. This may be difficult to pull off in the first playthrough even you had experienced speedboost in the early game. While making it more lenient can create something like this.
I hate super metroids physics with a passion, because it felt so floaty whenever you tried to even just basic space jump, because you would spin jump, reach the apex, and instead of jumping you just fall even though you’re pressing the button. Dread feels incredibly smooth in every action and the sheer fluidity in how everything moves is the reason why its one of my favorite games in the series, everything you do just feels right, from just how smooth you can go through one block gaps to how fast you can dodge with the flash shift everything is just so smooth and i love it
*in the nintendo meeting room* "alright guys, how can we make the speed booster stand out from its predecessors?" "hmm...what if...the BALL, too, could go fast?"
Did we finally find a video that beats Artaria Raceway??? I’m genuinely conflicted as to which video is better 😅 Either way, this video and Artaria Raceway are the two best speedboosts I have ever seen by a LARGE margin 👌 Actually, after watching both video again, I think you finally did it. After an entire year, somebody finally posted a speedboost that’s better than Artaria Raceway. Your route had more complicated jumps, harder chains, and required more memorization of the map because of the faster room transitions. Plus you actually completed your route, which Artaria Raceway failed to do lol. This was honestly REALLY impressive. I’d still recommend everybody check out Artaria Raceway for another awesome speedboost video, but imo this one finally tops it. Great stuff dude 👍
Yeah clearly this dude is flat out cheating, no way you can turn into a ball while boost running and it don't stop you, clearly he got an button or feature turned on smfh
@@wimac9269 Or maybe all that does is prove the game isn’t well crafted for everyone like Super Metroid is. I *KNOW* that I can’t pull off a tenth of what was done here, but all that was excessive and pointless because it didn’t lead to any power ups. And you didn’t run into ANY E.M.M.I.??? So this only works when there’s nothing of risk nor value left in that game. Metroid Dread truly is the worst Metroid game and I’m INCLUDING Other M.
@@MisteRRYouTuby While I agree with you that what he did was pretty much for showing off purposes, calling this game the worst Metroid game is a little harsh. It's not bad but its not fantastic either. Its just... Ok. Of the modern titles, I think this is the definitely above Other M and Return of Samus.
It's literally the Terminal Montage video of Super Metroid lol. Great job!

And here I thought I was hot shit when I did all the Speed Boost chains to get 100%.

"My parents are gone, can you come over?"
This should be a speedrun categogy of its own
What the actual fuck, man..... Every Metroid fan is obligated to be in awe of this.
Standing ovation. That was beautiful.
it will never stop to amaze me how good the level design in this game is. Great clip
2810 missiles
And 135 power bombs
not enough
How about over 10000+ missiles and 1000+ power bombs
How about a missile counter that starts at 0 and adds each you fire. Giving you a number of how many used.
This should be impossible to do

Both are great speedboost arts
How it feels to chew 5 gum:
This is fucking THE spark

Incredible work!
That. Was. Beautiful!
When you're rushing to catch the train
Awesome.
I can't say enough to describe it.
Sat here the whole time with the biggest, dumbest grin on my face. The movement in this game is so slick and intuitive that it makes my nuts tingle
Absolute madlad
even samus herself didn't know she can do this
I clicked and like, 20 seconds in, I just couldn't process anything anymore. Congrats man, that is true good f*cking skill
Could the devs themselves have attempted this?? Utterly insane
This is so ASMR!
Holy crap, that was cool! I've never seen boosting like that before. I didn't even know speed booster mockballing was possible in this game.
This is INSANE.
Best movement I’ve seen, ever.
Nice try sonic, you’re not fooling us in that armored suit

You held the first speed boost alone for 40 SECONDS
Wtf dude. You are a wizard!!!!

You can morph ball roll up slopes with speed boost active?
