I mean, put a cupped prop on it and raise it half-way out pf the water, and it's technically a surface drive, right? My Yamaha F-115 runs a cupped four blade 1/3 out of the water. I can get pretty shallow. Downside is that I go through 2 impellers a year.
Wow that is badass . Great job, that engine will give you so much less problems than an outboard . I never thought you could convert it like that. 👍
Thanks 👍
@@4everfishing424 great work did you ever get to do the build video would be very interesting i am a fan
Great job did you ever do a build video i have a johnson 9r-73b 9.5 would make a great motor thanks for sharing
Just opened up a new world for me.😂😂😂
thats good
@@4everfishing424 that boat looks like an old monarch
i made twin teddys 7.5 times two = 20 no but air cooled makes them light enough for 2 a linkage so just 1 tiller
o ya throttles linked also
would a normal outboard do i simler job
basically doesnt need to be water cooled though
kinda but you dont have to deal with water pumps or mixing oil if you ran a 2 stroke
if you made a kit for this you could make bank
its a thought
not really a surface drive. more of a diy 4s Outboard retrofit. Surface drives look and work completely different. still cool tho!
